This invention relates to a curby sign or marker and is adapted for use in displaying a house number at the curb in such amanner that it may be observed and illuminated 5 from and by automobiles and the like and also be observed by pedestrians, and usedl independently of or in collaboration lwith the usual house number.

It is aimed to provide a novel constructie l wherein the sign or the like may be secured in a novel and efficient manner to or adjacent the curb.

Additional objects and advantages will become apparent from a consideration of fthe 15 description following taken in connection with accompanying drawings illustrating an operative embodiment. f

A sign plate 16 is removably bolted as at 17 to 55 the leg 15 and numerals, letters, or other indicia 18 are removably bolted as at 19 against the outer side of the plate 16. As a result of this construction, the sign may be readily observed fromthe street and especially at night, when illuminated by the headlights of vehicles.

In the form of Figures 4 and 5, the parts 16, 18 and 19 are constructed similar to the preceding form. The same advantages and characteristics expressed with respect to the preceding `form are true of this modiied form, 'the main difference being that the sign is displayed above the curb.

I claim is my invention l. In combination With a curb, a sign mounted on the curb, a bracket mounting said sign,r said bracket anchored in the ground and arranged in contact with the curb, and a sleeve on the sign engaging said bracket.

2. A sign of the class described comprising a sign plate, a relatively Wide sleeve on said plate at its lower edge adapted to rest on a curb, .and van fattac'hin-g` 'bracket threaded through the sleeve and having means engage- Aable with a curb.

3. A sign of the class described comprising a sign plate, a relatively Wide sleeve on said plate at its lower lecce adapted to rest on a .cu-rb, and an attaching. bracket threaded through kvthe sleeve and Ihaving legs adapted to engage opposite sides of a curb.

4. A sign of the class described comprising a sign plate, .a sleeve `on ,said plate, `and aan attaching bracket-threaded through thesleeve and having legs vadapted Ito y,engage opposite sides of a curb, ithe `sign Abracket being ad-l justable relatively tothe sign.
