PATENT-f0 TOILET-ARTICLE HOLDER.

Application filed June 15, 1927. Serial No. 198,964.

The present invention relates to an improved article of manufacture, especially adapted for lavatory use, the same being constructed to accommodate tooth brushes, tubes of shaving cream, dental creams, and similar articles.

The principal aim is to generally improve upon article holders of this class by providing one of exceptional simplicity one which is characterized by inexpensiveness of manufacture and sale, and exceptional efiiciency in use.

Briefly, the invention has reference to a box-like housing open on one side, a closure for the open side, means in the housing for receiving and maintaining the various toilet articles, and a drinking glass receptacle.

In the drawings Figure 1 is a perspective view of the de vice constructed in accordance with the invention.

Fig. 2 is ahorizontal sectional View through the same with the door closed.

Referring to the drawings. in detail, and by reference characters, it will be observed that the reference 3 designates generally the housing which embodies a box 4 of appropriate material open on one side. A hingedly mounted closure 5 is adapted to close'this open. side and is held in closed position by an appropriate resilient clip 6.

Centrally located within the box 1 is a tubular standard 7 which is fastened at its opposite ends to the top and. bottom walls of the box. Mounted on this standard adjacent the top is a disk 8 having peripheral notches 9 of a conventional shape for receiving ordinary tooth brushes 10.

Also located within the box and on the side wall, disposed adjacent the bottom wall, are article holding racks 11. Each rack comprises a fiat strip of metal 12 having its central portion disposed in spaced parallelism with the side wall. with one end 13 bent latorally and fastened to the rear wall, and having the opposite end 14 bent in an opposite direct-ion and terminating in an attaching flange 15 fastened to the side wall.

There are two of these racks provided and they form convenient means for reception of collapsible tubes 16 and 17. The reference characters 16 and 17 may represent dental cream and shaving cream, respectively. It will be noticed that the right angularly extended portion 14 of the rack terminates flush with the marginal edge of the side walls. thus bracing the door 5 when it is closed.

Attention is now directed to a ring-like band 18 which is secured to the top of the box in any appropriate manner to provide a receptacle for a drinking glass or the like 19.

The device could be built into the ordinary wall cabinet, can beso built as to set on a table or stand, or provided with means whereby it can be suspended from an appropriate support.

and this is particularly advantageous in that it maintains the tooth brushes in a sanitary condition.

Ordinarily, the customary tooth brush holders are exposed and dust and dirt accumulate thereon.

It is thought that by considering the description in connection with the drawings, a clear understanding of the invention will be had. Therefore, a more lengthy description is thought unnecessary. 7

Minor changes coming within. the field of invention claimed may be resorted to shape, size and rearrangement may be followed if desired.

Having thus described my invention, what I claim as new is 1. As a new product of jmanufacture, a toilet article holder of the class described comprising an open front housing. a closure for said front, article racks in said housing, means in said housing for supporting tooth brushes. said tooth brush supporting means embodying a standard located centrally in the housingand fastened to the top and bottom walls and carrying a notcheddisk. and
