Another object of this invention is to provide a hair collecting attachment for hair clippers, which is secured in position upon the clippers by the pivot bolt of the cutting Another object of this invention is to provide a hair receiver for hair clippers having an open front side adjacent the cutting bladesto receive the clipped hair.
A further object of the inventionis to provide a device of the character described,
of the hair clippers. A still further object of the invention is .to' produce a device of the character described, which is simple and durable, and
' -which may be manufactured and placed hair clippers, wlth the hair collector secured lowing description in position; c
Figure 2 is a front elevation of the hair collector, V Figure 3 is a side elevation of the attachment, and
V Figure 4 is a bottom plan view of the same.
. Refering more in detail'to the drawings, A designates generally the usual form of hair clippers having cutter blades 5 and a screw threaded bolt 6 for holding the parts thereof in adjusted position. B designates generally the hair collecting attachment, which is substantially U-shaped. I
The hair collector is provided with atop wall 7 and depending end walls 8, thetop Figure 1 is a perspective view of the usual wall having a depression 9 therein to The top'wall 7 is strengthen the same. formed with an attaching ear 10 having an aperture 11' therein adapted to'receive the bolt 6 to secure the same to the clippers.
In operation, the collector is secured to the top of the clippers by the attaching car 10 through the medium of the screw threaded bolt 6, the lower parts of the end walls be- .i mg adaptedto rest upon the cutter plates which form the bottom wall of-thecollector, I
It will now beseen that. the attached device affords a collector which has an open mouth that lies vertically and faces upwardly in use, whereby the clipped hair-will fall within the collector, and from which it may be readily removed by. gravity upon movement 'of the collector, to direct the mouth thereof downwardly. l
Having thus described-my I claim as new and desire to secure by Let- Y ters Patent is I which may be readily detached for'cleaning I the same and for adjusting the'mechanism 1. In combination ing topand end walls, the bottom of the receiver overlying and being closed by the cutting blades of the clippers.
2. In combination with posed over and substantially parallel to the bolt of the cutter blades to secure the memher to the clippers, and parts carried by the first named part and arranged to lie close to the ends of the cutters whereby to form a receptacle constituted by the said member and: the cutters.
3. In combination with hair clippers having a pivot boltfor the cutting blades thereof, a hair co'llectorhaving a top and dependingvend walls, and an attaching ear formed integral with and disposed in a plane substantially parallel with said top wall whereby to secure the same in position upon the clippers.
4. In combination with "a hair clipper,
having a pivot bolt for the cutting blades, a hair receiver having top and end walls, an attaching ear formedvon the top wall and en with a hair clipper, a hair receiver of substantially U-shape, havi- V hair clipper-shave mg a pivotbolt for the cutter blades there-. of, including a member having a part discutter blades of the clippers, meanscarried by sa1d part and formed to engage thepivot lnvention what V gageable by said bolt, the bottom of the receiver overlying and being closed by the cutting-blades of the clippers.
5. In combination With a hair clipper, having a pivot bolt for the cutting blades thereof, a. hair receiver having a top and depending end Walls carried by the top and supported on the cutter blades, and anrattaching ear having an opening therein engageable by said pivot bolt to secure the 10 same in position upon the clippers, the bottom of the receiver being closed by the cutting blades.
In testimony whereof I have signed my name to this specification.
GEORGE-H. FISHER.
