To all whom t may concern: i
Be it known that I, ANDREW A. WALSH, a`
citizen of the lUnited States-and. resident of Bayonne, in the county of ,Hudson and State of New Jersey, have linvented certaii-i new and useful Improvements in a Combination Plumbing Fixture, of which the following is a specification.
The object of this invention is the production of a combination plumbing fixture, the
essentialv portions of which are integral or v i 41 andY the trap 42 having the outlet end 43,
cast together.
The ob'ect of the invention is the produc-- tion of a combination fixture which can be easily installed inV place and is of low irst cost. v l
VIt is provided with a detachable extension platform and extension walls toform a housing suitable fora shower bath. The extension platform and extension walls can bel easily connected to the main portion ofthe fixture. tension platform and wallsnllows the xture to passthrough theordinary door openings of a kbuilding to install it in place. f
In the accompanying drawings ivhich- Fig. 2a'shows a fragmentary Aportion of Fig.' 2 on aV reduced scale with. a modification Fig. 3 is a top plan view of Fig. A11; 3? shows a fragmentary portionfofF ig. 3 on a reduced scale with the modification; Fig.
4 represents a'sectionof Fig. 3 on lthe'line 4, 4 and Fig. l5 indicates a section of Fig.'

An inclined" main platform 2O inclines toward itsrear` endv andf'has extending up therefrom the lside walls 2l, each with a groove 22 in its upper vend. Side gutters 23 formed in the platform adjacent toits side walls 21 inclineV toward the yrearportion thereof, and join with thefrear gutter 24y formed in the platform. inclined shower outlet and slop sink l25vinthe rear portion of the platform joins with the said rear gutter.
Side extension walls 26 each with the groove 27 in its upper edge extend from the side walls 21. A rea-r extension Wall 28 connects the walls 2.6 and has formed in itsupper edge the groove 29, which connects with The detachablefeature of the .ex-
the grooves 27. A front wall 30 with the taperedoupper portion 3l andthe central foot 32 extends from the lower face of the front portion of the platform 20. Openings 33, similar to 68 to be described, are preferably formed in the wall 3 0.l Feet 35'are formed at the ends of the wall 30 and similar feet 36 are formed at the junction ofthe rear wall andthe side walls of thesaid platform. I
A water closet 40 with the flushing ring A 'trap' 55 connects theinc-lined shower l outlet and slop sink 25-with the soil-and vent pipe 45. Astrainerjhead 56 is-secured'in a depressed portion yofi-the roof of said 'inclined .shower outlet and slop` sink and its openings lead to the trap 55. i
An inclined extension platform 6() hav- The platform 60 'hasgextending up therefrom the' side wall `62 which register with the Vside wallsy 21. Grooves (S3-in the walls (52 register with the grooves 22. ySide gutters 64 areformedin the platform 60 Vadjacent to its Asidewalls 62.'.jThe'gutters (i4-incline toward the rear portioriof the platform 60 and 'register with the :gutters 23. f A rear wall- 65 with the tapered' upper `port-ion 66', andthe central foot 67 extends 'from the lowerface of thev rear portion of `the platform ,60.1 Qpenings 68l are preferably formed in ythe wallf65.l The'vwallsi30 and 65 are connected by the bolts 69 and cement 70 secures afwaterjtight jointbetween the platforms120fand 60.'. Feet 73k are' formed at the ends of the wall y65 and similar feet 74 are formed at the front andl sides of said platform 60.
ing the frontwall'l, inelines toward lits `rear portion, and *registers I with A wash basin 75 is cast integral witn the extends to the gutter 24. A pair of faucets 82 for the wash basin 75 have connected thereto piping 83 in the usual way.
Referring to the modification indicated in Figs. 2a and 3a, the vent pipe is again shown at 45, the wash' basin at 75, the faucets at 82 with the piping 83. A trap for the outlet of the wash basin 75 is shown at 8O with its piping 81, in place of the pipe 79. The piping 8l connects with the vent pipe 45.
Detachable side extension walls SG with the offset portion 87 have respectively formed at their' lower edges the tenons 88- -89, that are engaged by the grooves 63 and 27. A rear detachable extension wall 90 has formed therewith the tenon 91 which is engaged by the groove 29. The walls 8G and 90 may be connected by knee-brackets 94 and form with the walls 25 a housing for the fixture.
A spray head 95 extends from the piping 96 and provides a shower bath for the fixture.
Various modifications may be made in the invention and the present exemplitication is to be taken as illustrative and not limitative thereof.
Having described my invention what I desire to secure by Letters Patentl and claim is l. In a combination plumbing fixture the combination of a platform, a closet integral with and extending up from the platform, a trap integral with the closet, a soil pipe for the closet and integral with the outlet end of said trap, a slop sink formed with said platform and a trap connecting said slop sink and the soil pipe and integral therewith.
2. In a combination plumbingV fixture the' combination of a main platform, a front extension platform detachably connected to the main platform, a closet integral with the main platform, a trap integral with the closet, a soil pipe for the closet integral with the outlet end of said trap, a slop sink formed with the main platform and a trap connecting the slop sink and said soil pipe and integral therewith.
3. In a combination plumbing fixture the combination of a main platform, a front extension platform detachably connected to the main platform, detachable extension walls for the fixture, a closet, a slop sink and a soil pipe formed integralv with the main platform.
4. A combination plumbing fixture comprising a main platform inclined toward its rear end, gutters formed at the sides of the platform, a gutter formed at the rear of the platform connecting with the gutters at the sides thereof, an inclinedvshower outlet yand slop sink formed in the platform ex- 'tending to its rear gutter, a water closet integral with said platform, a soil and vent pipe integral with the platform, a trap integral with the soil and vent pipe and said water closet and a trap integral with the said shower outlet and slop sink and said soil and vent pipe.
5. A combination plumbing fixture compri'sing a main platform inclined toward its rear end, an inclined shower outlet and slop sink formed with the platform, a water closet integral with said platform, a Isoil and vent pipe integral with the platform and said water closet, a trap integral with said shower outlet and slop sink and said soil and vent pipe, a housing' for the platform and a spray head for a showerbath for the fix'ture, the water discharged from the spray head escaping through said shower outlet and slop sink.
6. A'combination plumbing fixture comprising a main platform, a gutter at the rear portion of the platform, a water closet integral with said platform, a soil and vent pipe integral with said platform and said water closet, a shower outlet and slop sink integral with said platform, a rear wall extending from the platform, a wash basin integral with the said rear wall and piping extending from said wash basin to said gutter. y
7 A combination plumbing fixture comprising a main platform, side extension walls for the platform, a rear extension wall for the platform connected to said side extension walls, aninclined shower outlet and slop sink formed with said platform, a soil and vent pipe formed with the plat-form, a trap integral `with said pipe and said shower outlet and slop sink, an extension plat-form connected to the main platform, detachable side extension walls for the platforms, a rear detachable extension wall connected to the detachable side extension walls and to the rear extension wall, and a spray head for a. shower bath above said platforms, the water discharged from the spray head escaping through said showeroutlet and 'slop sink.
