Be it known that I, MALVTN LIGHTER, a citizen of the United States, residing in New York city, in the county of New York and State of New York, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Perpetual Calendars, of which the following is a full,

clear, and exact description.

My invention relates Ato perpetual calendars, my more particular purpose being to provide a calendar of this general type, having such form as to render it easily constructed of cardboard or heavy paper, and

so arranged as to enable the operator yto readily, quickly and accurately change the calendar so as to bring aboutthe requisite alterations peculiar to dili'erent months of the year as shown upon the calendar.

More particularly stated, I seek to make a cardboard calendar consisting of two cards, one being a wall card of large size and the other being an anchor card of smaller size, to be supported by the wall card and adjustable relatively thereto at the will of the operator, the anchor card being provided with legends indicating the aggregate days of dierent months, and so arranged that by a slight shifting movement ofthe anchor card relative lto the wallrcard, the changes desired in the calendar, incidental to the change in time from one month to the v I "slots Y9, 10, ldisposed substantially parallel with each other, as indicated in Figure 1,

My invention further contemplates an anchor card used in association with the wall card and provided with a minimum number of legends for indicating in the aggregate, the number of days in different months of the year; the idea being that the' anchor card displays a number of legends greater than the days of anyone month and yet considerably less than the number of days .of an entire year-the anchor' card serving, however, to indicate the days of slot'11 ofthe form shown in Figure 1 and each and every month in the entire year, allowance being made,4 of `course, for the fact that the anchor card isadjustable relatively to the `wall card as above stated.
