Be it knownthat I, Q -rAnnns A. Buses, a citizen of the United States, residing at Rice Lake, in the county of Barron and State of Wisconsin, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Hotdrir Furnaces; and I (lo-hereby: declare the following to be a full, clear, and exact description. of the invention such as will enable others skilled in the art to which it appertains to make and use the same.
The invention relates to heating appliances and more particularly to furnaces for supplying hot air and embodying a plurality of casings surrounding thefire pot.
The present invention provides a hot air fu'rnacehaving a direct draft and a circuitous passage for the smoke andgases and concentric hollow casings included 'inthe circuitous smoke and gas: passage, whereby a maximum amount of heat is available for eflective service in heating; 1-

While the drawings illustrate an embodiment of the invention it is to be understood .that in adapting the same to meet diffei ent conditions and requirements, various changes in the form, proportion and minor details of construction may be resorted to without departing from the nature of the invention.

The hot air furnace disclosed embodies a cast metal base 1 and aregister 2. The body of the furnace is mounted centrally upon the base 1 and comprises an ash pit 3 and a combined fire pot and combustion chamber 4. These parts may be of any approved construction. The outermost casing com-- H prises a cylindrical portion'5, mounted upon the outer portion of thebase 1, a conical or tapering portion 6 and an upper contracted rality of short radiating tubes 9.
