To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, MELBOURNE E. Vnziu, a citizen of vthe United States, residing at Cement, in the county of Caddo and State of Oklahoma, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Gas Burners, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawings.
This invention relates to gas burners and has for an important object thereof the provision of a burner which may be utilized for either high or low pressure gas.
A further object of the invention is to provide in combination with a pair of con centrically arranged burners, one of which is connected with a source of high pressure gas and the other of which is connected with a source of low pressure gas, a pair of concentrically arranged tubes through which the burning gases from the respective burners will pass.
A further object of the invention is to pro vide a device of this character which may be readily and cheaply constructed.
Other objects and advantages of the invention will become apparent throughout the course of the following description.
In the accompanying drawings, wherein for the purpose of illustration is shown a preferred embodiment of my invention and wherein like reference characters designate like parts throughout:

referring now more particularly to the drawings, the numeral 10 indicates an outer or main burner tube provided adjacent one end thereof with perforations 11, extending through the side walls. The lower or entrance end of the tube 10, as indicated at 10, has mounted therein a substantially cruciform burner 12 embodying the usual gas outlets and connected by a pipe 1.3 with a source of low pressure gas. This burner 12 is held in position in the tube 10 by means of set-screws 12 or the like in order that the burner may be readily removed.

the sidewall of the pipe 13 and is provided with an extension 15 concentric with the pipe 13. This extension likewise extends through the burner 12 and projects thereabove a sufficient distance that the end or site side of the perforations 11 of the tube 19 from the burner 12. The numeral 17 indicates a high pressure tube arranged within the main burner tube 10 and concentric therewith and held in position by means of set-screws 18 threaded through the side walls of the tube 10. The lower or intake end of the tube 17 substantially coincides with the burner 16 and the discharge end 17 thereof projects slightly beyond the discharge end 10 of the main burner tube 10. A sleeve 19 surrounds the tube 10 at the portion thereof provided with the openings 11, and is provided with openings 20 which may be caused to coincide with the openings 11 by rotating the sleeve. It will be obvious that by adjusting the sleeve 19 the amount of air admitted to the burner tube 10 may be regu lated.

1. In a gas burner, a main tube, concentric high and low pressure burners arranged within said tube, means for admitting air to said main tube, and a removable tube disposed within said main tube. and into which said high pressure burner discharges;
2. In a gas burner, a main tube. concentric high and low pressure burners arranged within said tube, said burners being spaced from one another longitudinally of the tube: means for admitting airto said main tube intermediate said burners, and a removable tube disposed within said main tube and into which said high pressure burner discharges.
