Be it known that I, THOMAS J. Him, a

citizen of th United States, residing at Bainbrid e, in the county of Decatur and State oi eorgia, have invented certain. new and useful Improvements in Cabinets, of which the followin is a specification.

The invention rsates to a cabinet and more particularly to the class of mechanics revoluble cabinets.

The primary object of the invention is the prov sion of a cabinet of this character mechanics,

wherein a revolving section is constructed and arranged to provide compartments adapted to accommodate various kinds of tools and implements ordinarily used by these compartments being accessible through a doorway formed in the body or casing of the cabinet, the tools and implements being held in assorted relation within the respective compartments, thereby making for use.

Another object of the invention is the provision of a cabinet of this character, wherein the revoluble section is not'only provided with compartments for the reception of tools and implements but is also constru'cted and arranged to accommodate overalls' or other working clothes; the body-or casing and also the revoluble section of saidcabinet being of novel construction, so that the articles carried within the revoluble section 'will be protected to prevent loss or theft thereof and the order of lacement of the toolsand implements in sald section assures selection of a particular tool or implement with despatch.

A further object of the invention is the provision of a cabinet of this character, which is extremely simple in'construction, compact, readily and easily portable, strong,

. thoroughly reliable and efiicient in its purpose, and inexpensive. tomanufacture.

With these and other objects in view, the invention consists in the features of construction, combination and arrangement of parts, as will be hereinafter fully described, illustrated in the accompanying drawing and pointed out in the claim hereunto appended.

Referring to the drawing in detail, the cabinet comprises a bodyor casing 5, preferably of cylindrical shape having a bottom 6 and top 7, the latter being preferably removable, while the bottom is permanently connected. The body or casing 5 including the top and bottom thereof is preferably made from sheet metal and in one side of the same is formed a doorway 8 so that access may be had to the interior thereof. Suitably mounted interiorly of the body or casing 5 above and below the doorway 8 and extending beyond one side edge of the same are upper and lower guides 9 and 10, respectively, which are held spaced from the inner surface of the body or casing through the medium of suitable fasteners 11 the same being spaced the required distance apart and carry anti-friction rollers 12 which are located between the said guide 10 and the body or casing 5. Slidably fitted within the body or casing 5 and contacting with the rollers 12 is a door 13 which is adapted to open and close the doorway 8, the door 13 being formed with an abutment flange 14 which is adapted to cooperate with a stop flange 15 carried at the inner side of the body or casing 5 so as to limit the sliding movement of the door in one direction.

Mounted in any suitable manner centrally upon the bottom 6 and top 7 are bearings 16 in which is adapted to be journaled the arbor or supporting axle 17 for the revoluble section hereinafter fully described.

The revoluble section is carried upon the arbor or axle 17 and is in the form of a rotor havin the top and bottom end disks 18 and 19, w ile extended vertically between said disks arbor or axle 17 are partitions 20, which divide the said revoluble section into independent compartments 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26

and disposed radially relative to the and 27 respectively. The compartments 26 and 27 being fitted with shelves 28 and 29, the shelves 28 being formed with front ledges 30, while the compartments 23, 24 and 25 have arranged therein suitable brackets 31 to accommodate various kinds of tools so that the same when engaged in the brackets will be held in assorted relation to each other, the compartments 21 and 22 being fitted with hooks or hangers 32 for the suspension of various articles therein. The

compartment 22 is fitted near its lower endportion with a single shelf 33 thereby dividing the same into two spaces independent of each other. The spaces formed by the shelves 28 in the compartment 26 are adapted to be closed through the medium of doors 34 for the respective spaces.

In the use of the cabinet when placing tools therein the same will be secure and the sharp edge tools will be protected to avoid damage thereto as would occur when thrown loosely together in a tool chest or the like. The tools within the cabinet are held in assorted relation and are readily accessible through the doorway in the body or casing.

From the foregoing it is thought that the construction and manner of use of the cabinet will be clearly understood and therefore a more extended explanation has been omitted.

.What is claimed is:

In a cabinet of the character described comprising a cylindrical body having a closed bottom and removable top, a doorway formed in said body, door guides one arranged above and the other below the said doorway, anti-friction rollers disposed between the lower guide and the wall adjacent thereto of the body, a slidable door correspondingly shaped to the body and movable upon the anti-friction rollers for opening and closing the doorway, raised spacing members constituting bearings formed concentrically of said top and bottom of the cabinet, a rotatable section vertically supported in said bearings, said section having a plurality of equal, triangular compartments and spaced top and bottom disks therefor and means for positioning and suspending various articles within said compartments.
