Referring to t e form of my invention shown in Figs. 1 to 4 inclusive, 15 represents the body portion of the box which is open at 1ts top 16 and front end 17 The box can be made of cardboard or other suitable material and is provided with a top cover 18 which is hinged at 19-to the top of the rear of the body portion 15. This cover 1 8 has a mirror 20 inserted therein and a hinged flap 21 adapted to fold over a front section 22 of the box which is hinged to the bottom edge of the front end 17. The front section 22, when moved into the position as shown in Fig. 3, serves to close the front end 17. The flap-21 and the front section 22 are, respectively, provided with parts of a snap-button 23 whereby the cover 18 closes the top 16 and the parts are locked in' their closed positions, as shown in Fig. 3.

Two trays 24 and 25 are positioned within the body portion 15; the tray 24 being hinged at its rear top edge'26 to the back of the body portion 15, so that said tray can be swung on its hinge 26 out of the body portion, for example, from i the position shown in Fig. 1 to the position shown in Fig. 2. The bottom of the tray 24 is provided with a mirror 27 so that when the tray is moved into the osition, as shown in Fig. 2, the mirror 27 wi 1 be exposed to view and the bottom tray'25 will be uncovered. This space 37 can be used for holding hair pins, safety pins or other small toilet articles.

It will be noted that when the powder 28 is being used, the puff 30 can be employed and the mirror 20 is in a position for use. On the other hand, when it is desired to use the rouge 29', the tray 24 is raised on 1ts hinge into the position shown in 'Fig. 2 and the mirror 27 on the bottom of the'tray24 can be readily seen and is in proper pos1t1on for the use of the rouge 29.

The eyebrow pencil, lip stick or perfume vial can be used as desired and can be readily lifted from the rack 32.

The form of my invention shown in Fi scribed in Figs.'1 to 4, inclusive, with the exception that the width of the trays is equal to the width of the interior of the body portion of the box, and the rack for holding the. eyebrow pencil, lip stick and perfume vial is of less width than that shown in the form of my invention shown in Figs. 1 to 4 inclusive. Therefore, in Figs. 5 and 6,1 have given corresponding parts reference numerals similar to those above described.

The form of my invention shown in Fig. 7 is substantially similar to that of Fig. 5 with the exception that, insteadof theyrack 32, I provide a. rack 39 in which the eyebrow pencil 40, perfume vial 41 and lip stick 42 are inserted within the side of the rack instead of through the top. In all other r'espects,.the parts are similar to those described in connection with Figs. 1 to 6, inclusive, and I have given corresponding parts similar reference numerals.

- In th'e form of my invention shown'in Figs. 8 to 10, inclusive, the rack is eliminated and the trays occupy the entire space within merals.

In Figs. 11 and 12, I have shown a modified .form of my improved box which includes a body portion 43 having a tray 44 secured therein above the bottom so as to provlde space for a slidable tray 45. These trays 44 and 45 contain cakes 46 and 47 of powder and rouge and also, respectively, contain pufi's 48 and 49. The cover 50 is hinged at 51 to the top edge of the back of the vertical position," as shown in Fig. 10, and thereby form an abutment for the front face of the slidable tray 45. shown in Fig. 12.- Thus the cover 50 serves to both cover the body portion 43 at the top and serves as a retaining means to hold the front section 52. in .its upright position.

The cover 50 contains a mirror 56 so that by 11 opening the box either the powder 46 or rouge 4.7.can be used. When it is desired to use the rouge 47, the tray 45 can be slid outwardly in the manner of a drawer and after being used can be slid within th'p body ortion 43. The mirror 56 is-in position to be seen while using either the powder or rouge.

Figs. 13 and 14 show a form of my invention substantially similar to that illustrated in Figs. 11 and 12 with the exception that instead of providing the front section with the shoulder for engagement with theto-p cover, the top cover 57 is provided with a flap 53 of similar construction to the flap 21 above described in connection with Figs. 1 to 4,

and the section 59 which is pivoted at its bottom at 60 is provided with a snap-button 61 so that the flap 58 and front section 59 can be secured together. In all other respects, the form of my invention shown in Figs. 13 and 14 is similar to that shown in Figs. 11 and 12, and I have, therefore, given corresponding parts similar reference numerals.

A toilet box made in accordance with my invention, can be made in compact form so that it can be held in an open position in one hand so that the other hand is free for the use of the puffs. In the use of the form of -my invention shown, for example. in Figs.

stood that the various parts of my invention may be changed without departing from the spirit thereof, and hence I do not limit myself to the precise construction set forth, but consider that I am at liberty to make suchchanges and alterations as fairly come'within the scope of the appended claims.

Having thus described my invention, what I claim as new and desire ters Patent is:

1. A toilet'box of the character described including two trays; one of said trays being movably connected-whereby it can be moved into a position so as to permit access to the other of said trays; said movably connected tray having a mirror visible'when said tray is moved to permit access to the other of said trays; substantially as described.

2. A toilet box of the character described, including two trays mounted one above the other; one of said trays being hinged whereby it canbe swung into a position so as to permit access to the other of said trays; said hinged trayhaving a mirror visible when said tray is moved to uncover the other of said trays; substantially as described.

3. A toilet box of the character described, including a body portion open at itsv top; a cover for closing said top; a mirror supported on said top; two trays mounted within said body portion and positioned one above the other; the upper one of said trays being hinged so as to swing upwardly clear of the other tray and toward said cover; said hinged tray having a mirror on its bottom; substantially as described.

4. A toilet box of the character described, including a body portion open at its top; a cover for closing said top; a mirror sup ported on said top; two trays mounted within said body portion and positioned one above the other; the upper one of said trays being hinged so as to swing clear'of the other tray and toward said cover; said hinged tray having a mirror on its bottom; and a front section hinged to the body portion and movable towardand from said trays; substantially as described.

5. A toilet box of the character described, including a body portion open at its top; a cover for closing said top; a mirror supported on said top; two trays mounted within said body portion and positioned one above the other; the upper one of said trays being hinged so as to swing clear of the other to secure by Lettray and toward said cover; said hinged tray having a mirror on its bottom; a front section hinged to the body portion and movable toward and from said trays; and a rack supported on said front section and adapted to retain various toilet articles; substantially as described.

6. A toilet box of the character described, including a body portion open at its top; a cover for closing said top; a mirror supported on said top; two trays mounted within said body portion and positioned one above the other; the upper one of said trays being hinged so as to swing clear of-the other tray and toward said cover; said hinged tray having a mirror on its bottom; and a front section hinged to the body portion and movable toward and from said trays; said trays being of less width than the Width of said body portion whereby a storage space is provided in which toilet articles can be carried; substantially as described.

7. A toilet. box of the character described, including a body portion open at its top; a cover for closing said top; a mirror supported on said top; two trays mounted within said body portion and positioned one above the other; the upper one of said trays being hinged so as to swing clear of the other tray and toward sald cover; said hinged tray having a mirror on its bottom;

-a front section hinged to the body portion and movable toward and from said trays;

and a rack supported on said front section and adapted to retain various toilet articles; said trays bein of less width than the width of said body portion whereby a storage space is provided in which toilet articles can be carried; substantially as described.

8. A toilet box of the character described, including a body portion open at its top; a cover for closing said top; a tray mounted within said body; a front section hinged to said body portion and movable toward and from said tray; and means on said front hinged section adapted to hold toilet articles, said body portion providing a space between said tray and front hinged section, whereby when said section is closed said toilet articles will occupy said space within the body portion and when the front scction is open the toilet articles will be lo catcd outside of said body portion; substantially as described.
