,The present inventionV relates 'to' games and has for its object, to provide a 'puzzle game for children, consisting oitY a :set ot rods or-rollsl each beaiing on its circumference portions ot differently colored designs or pictures so arranged that when the rolls or rods are placed in a certain 4positioirrelative to one another the portions ofone color will complementone another and' compose one complete picture or design, and when the rolls or rods are 'in a certain 'ditterent position then the portions of another 'color will complement one another and compose another picture.

Another object of our invention is to provide a suitable container for said rolls in which the latter will be held constantly in contact with one another to produce the desired eiiect but be allowed of beingv rotated around their longitudinal axes.

lVith these and other objects in vie-w. our invention consists in the construction, combination and arrangement of parts as will be hereinafter more fully described and set forth in the appended claims.

Reference is had to the accompanying drawing in which similar characters denote corresponding parts, and in which Figure l is a top plan view of the game showing the rods arranged in such a position that the portions of one' color make up one of the designs or pictures; Fig. 2 is a similar view showing the rods in a different` position in which the portions ot another color make up another design or picture; Fig. 3 is an enlarged section on line 3-3 of Fig. 1 and Figs. 4 and 5 denoteI an individual. rod in different positions showingportions of dit'- terently colored designs.

frods or rolls must be held constantlylin'close contact with one another and to this end we vprovide a' container Y; the-bottom blotwhich is provided with a. number of flutes or corrugations one vfor each rod or roll. These flutes or corrugations prevent the displacenient of the rods relative to one another, but permit the rotation thereof around their axes. c denotes a transparent cover which may be used for the box.

The differently colored portions or sections ot the designs on the rods may be arranged on different sides thereof so that a mere turning of the rods around their vaxes from one position to another may change the character vof the design or in order to render the solution of the puzzle more laborious the dierently colored sections on the rods may be so placed as to require not only the turning of the rods but also the change of the order in which the rods have been previously arranged in the boX.

What we claim and desire for Letters Patent is: l

1.A A puzzle game `consisting of a set of independent anddisconnected rods capable of being rotated around separate axes and each bearing on its circumference portions the said rods are rotatedv around their axes and brought to lie in a certain position will complement one vanother to complete one'of the designs or pictures and those of a difterent color when the rods are ina diiterent position will complement one another to present another design or picture.

2. A puzzle game comprising a set of independent and disconnected rolls capable of being rotated around separate axes and each having on its circumference portions or sections of differently colored designs or pictures of which those of one color When the rolls are rotated around their axes and brought to lie in one position complement one another producing one design and those of the other color when the rolls are turned into another position produce another design.

3. A puzzle game comprising a set of independent and disconnected rolls capable of being rotated around separate axes and cach bearing on its circumference portions of diiiierently colored designs, which portiens are arranged on diiierent sides of the circumtei'ene and oit which those of one color when the rods are rotated around their axes and brought to lie in one position produce one design and those of another color when the rods are in a different position produce a different design.

i. A puzzle game comprising a set of rolls having on their circumference portions or sections of differently colored designs, of which those of one color When properly placed are adapted to complete one design with their axes parallel to one another, and

to be capable of being rotated each around its individual axis, each roll bearing on its circumference portions of differently colored designs arranged on different sides of the circumference, and of which those of one color when the rolls are in onel position produce one design and those oi' another color when the rolls are in a different position produce a different design.
