invented certain new and useful Improvements in Bottle Holders and Pouring Devices, of which the following is a specification.

This inventionrelates to attachments for bottles, more especially milk bottles and combines a holding and pouring device and at one side.

It is simple and inexpensive in construction and when attached to bottles they can be easily and'conveniently used as substitutes for pitchers or similar vessels.

The various features of the invention will be more fully explained in connection with the accompanying drawing in which:

Figure 1 is a side elevation of a milk bottle showing the attachment applied thereto. Fig. 2 is a rear elevation of the attachment when applied to a milk bottle. Fig. 3 is a perspective view of the attachment.

Referring to the drawing, 1 indicates an ordinary milk bottle, 2 indicates the attachment made of spring metal having the ring or looped portion 3 adapted tofit closely within the mouth of the bottle l'having a spout or pouring device 4:.

5 indicates upturned portions or lugs on the attachment 2 at the top of the same'and adjacent to the ring portion 3. A pivot pin 6 passes through the lugs 5 and the circular section 7 of the top 8 thus acting as a hin e. The attachment is provided with the handle 9 and at its lower end it is depressed or bent as shown at 10 thus being ada ted to fit over the lower or bottom edge 0 the bottle.

The said attachment is divided into two members 11 and 12 having the upturned ends 13 and 14 adapted to press against the side of the bottle and exercise a gripping force. The members 11 and 12 have the depressed or bent parts 15 and 16 adapted to fit over the bottom edge of the will thus be seen that the depressed parts 10, 15 and 16 form the resting points of the attachment.

The device is held securely in'place by the tension between the top and bottom parts and the handle by the attachment.

Bottles cannot be dislodged from the at a tachment owing to the divided construction of the base and the lugs pressing against the side of the same exercising a gripping efiect. The ring or looped portion at the top of the attachment springs into the opening or niouth of a bottle and. is held securely in ace. p The attachment will fit bottles of various sizesof the same capacity owing to the tension of the device.

-The weight of the lid retains the same tle 1s prevented from being dislodged.

What'I claim as new and desire to secure by Letters Patent is 1. In a device of the class described, comprising a sprin handle ada ted to securely hold bottles 0 different diameters at the bottom, a ring on the opposite end of said handle adapted to fit closely within a neck of a bottle, a pouring device attached to said ring, the said ring and bottom holder held securely in place by the tension on said spring handle. 2'. In a device of the class described, a spring handle adap tles of difierent diameters at the bottom, a ring on the opposite end of said handle adapted to fit closely within a neck of a bottle, a pouring 'device attached to said ring, a cover pivotally secured to said handle adjacent to said ring, said ring and bottom holding member held securely in place by the tension of said siprin handle.
