- susrnnsoitv BANDAGE.
In the present embodiment of the inven tion, the testicle-sack is fashioned from a fiat strip of textile material, the construction being such that the sack may be removed easily and be washed, or be replaced by another unsoiled testicle-sack.
It is within the scope of the invention to provide novel means for assembling the testicle-sack with the supporting means, and
to provide novel means for shirring the normally flat strip into sack-like form.
It is within the province of the disclosure to improve generally. and to enhance the utility of devices of that type to which the present invention appertains.
With the above and other objects in view which will appear as the description proceeds, the invention resides in the combination and arrangement of parts and in the details of construction hereinafter described and claimed, it being understood that changes in the precise embodiment of the invention herein disclosed can be made within the scope of What is claimed without departing from the spirit of the invention.
In the accompanying drawings :Figure 1 shows the invention in perspective; Fig. 2 is a plan of the strip from which the testicle-sack is formed; Fig. dis a side elevation of the testicle-sack detached fromthe *supporting means.
, In carrying out the present invention there is provided a supporting means of any desired sort, the same preferably being in the form of a belt 1 in which a buckle 2 may be interposed.
The testicle-sack is denoted generally by the numeral 3 and is fashioned from a flat strip of textile material, the strip being denoted generally by the numeral &. Opposed, parallel edges of the strip 4 may be hemmed as shown at 5. The ends of the strip a from which the testicle-sack is made are turned over uponthemselves and stitched down as Specification of Letters Patent.
Application filed June 28, 1915, Serial No. 38,806.
{as shown in Fig. l, the shirring ribbons 9 are of loop-shape and at their upper ends, eyes 11 are formed. Through the eyes 11 are passed suspension straps 12. The suspension straps 12 are of loop-shape, one end of each strap 12, indicated at 14, being secured to the supporting belt 1 and the other end 15 of the suspension strap being'upheld by means of a buckle l6.
Owing to the fact that the strip 4: out of which the testicle-sack 3 is formed is normally flat, the same may be detached readily and washed as easily as a handkerchief. Since the ribbons 9 are attached to the testicle-sack 3 intermediate the ends of the guides 7 the testicle-sack will shir up evenly and symmetrically in the sack-like form shown in Figs. 1 and 3 and will not shift or alter its position longitudinally of the ribbons 9. Since the guides 7 are outwardly conveXed, away from each other, the testiclesack will shape itself properly and will be given a slight intermediate sag as shown at 17, when in use.
From the foregoing it will be observed that in this application there is disclosed a suspensory bandage, the testicle-sack of which may readily be removed and laundered without difliculty.
Having thus described the invention, what is claimed is Y 1. A suspensory combining with a supporting-means, a testicle-sack in the form of a flat strip; and shirring means forming an operative connection between the supporting means and the ends ofthe strip to hold the latter in sack-like form.
2. A 'suspensory combining with a supportingmeans, a testicle-sack in the form of a fiat strip having its ends outwardly convexed; grid shirring-means engaged with the supporting means and with the outwardly convexed portions of the strip to hold the latter in sack-like form.
3. A suspensory embodying a support; a testicle-sack in the form of a fiat strip having guides at its ends; and loop-shaped members connected With the support and threaded through the guides to hold the strip in sack-like form.
A. A suspensory embodying a support; a testicle-sackin the form of a fiat strip having oppositely convexed guides at its ends; and loop-shaped members connected with the support and threaded through theoppositely convexed guides to holdthe strip in sack-like form.
5; A suspensory embodying a support; a testicle-sack in the form ofa flat strip having guides at its ends; and loop-shaped members connected with the support and threaded h u th i si s t l he tr p in sack- Iike form; the loop-shaped members being Qopiles of this patent may be obtained for of the respective guides.
1 6. Asuspensory embodyinga support; a testicle-sack in the form of a flat strip having oppositely conveXed' guides at its ends; and loop-shaped members'connected with the support and threaded through the oppositely convexed guides to hold the strip in sacklike form,.thei1oop-shaped members being secured to the strip intermediate the ends of the respective guides.
In testimony that I cla mzthe foregoing as my own, I have hereto afiixed my. signa- 7 ture in the presence of two witnesses.
