Be it known that I, CARL H. EPPLE, a citil zen of the United States, residing at iOakland, in the county-of Alameda and State of California, have invented certain new and useful-Improvements in. Check-Protectors,

of which the following is a specification.

This invention relates to improvements in check protectors and hasfor its principal object the construction of a small device of this character which may be carried on or about the person of a user. l

Another object of my invention i's to so construct the device that the check is effectively protected against alterations, and, still a further object is to provide a device which is neat and simple, and may be sold at a nominal price.l

With these and other objects in view my invention consists in the novel construction, combination and arrangement of parts as set forth in the following specification and more partidularly pointed out in the appended claims.

Reference being had to the accompanying drawing forming a part of this specication, Figure 1 is a view in perspective showing the manner in which my improved device is used to protect checks.
