Abstract
The invention relates to mining industry and can be used for concentration of raw material presented by man-made deposits of stored sludge of the metallurgical works. A method includes loosening raw materials, screening, formation of a pulp, concentration with formation at the end of the process cycle of commercial iron ore concentrate and reject. As iron-containing raw material sludge of metallurgical works is used, which is sent to the first stage of gravity separation in the hydrocyclone, in which two flows are formed, one of which contains a product with useful components, which are directed to magnetic separation, and the other one - cyclone discharge - refuse - is sent to a dump. As a result of magnetic separation the product flow is obtained which has magnetic properties, and a flow of weakly magnetic and nonmagnetic products. The product with magnetic properties is subject to gravity separation in spiral separators while obtaining reject and iron-containing magnetic product, which is the iron ore concentrate, and the flow of weakly magnetic and nonmagnetic products is subject to gravity separation by density. The product of high-density is concentrated in the spiral separators obtaining non-magnetic iron ore and dumped refuse, and the product with a low density after concentration on the spiral separator is divided into non-magnetic iron ore and energy raw materials. The implementation of disclosed method allows to effectively concentrate the stockpiled sludge from metallurgical works and provides a high degree of useful component extraction.
