Винахід належить до галузі хімічної технології, а саме, до способу одержання йодсульфону, що є органічним сульфойодідним препаратом - дийодметил-п-толілсульфон. Спосіб включає одержання натрієвої солі п-толуолсульфітокислоти з п-толуолсульфохлориду, взаємодію натрієвої солі п-толуолсульфітокислоти з монохлороцтової кислотою з утворенням п-толілсульфонілоцтової кислоти та взаємодію останньої в лужному середовищі з молекулярним йодом при температурі +4...50C протягом 1...1,5 години з наступною витримкою при кімнатній температурі 1,5 години.
