The well-known drug "Glutasol" (report on the GDR "Development of manufacturing technology, production control and application of vaccines and a drug that normalizes metabolism in acute gastrointestinal diseases of newborn calves". State order Mo134-72-4zh, 1990, which is based on the method of author of St. USSR Mo1761098), accepted as a prototype. The composition of the drug, 9o: glutamic acid - 17.4; sodium chloride 70 - 10.4; sodium bicarbonate - 9.9; glucose - 62.3. The pharmacological action of the drug is aimed at normalizing acid-alkaline balance, water-electrolyte and energy exchanges in patients with acute gastrointestinal diseases of newborn calves.
The disadvantage of the method is that it does not sufficiently take into account the significant disorders of mineral metabolism that occur in the body of calves with gastrointestinal pathology and are manifested by its slow recovery during the period of 712 clinical recovery. As a result, in calves with dyspepsia, the normalization of metabolic processes in tissues is inhibited, which provokes the development of pathological hemolytic anemia and contributes to the reduction of the immune-resistant state of the body. In such animals, disturbances in the restoration of acid-alkaline balance, energy, protein and carbohydrate metabolism are noted, which negatively affects their growth and development, contributes to repeated relapses and the emergence of complications from other organs and systems.

Example. Testing the therapeutic effectiveness of the drug "Profzhektel-1" in the development of dyspepsia in newborn /o0 calves was carried out on 78 newborn calves in agricultural enterprises of different regions of Ukraine.
Кров для контролю за станом метаболічних процесів в організмі новонароджених телят дослідних груп відбирали на 5-6 добу (на момент їх клінічного одужання).To conduct the final experiment, two groups of newborn analog calves were formed, 12 heads each: the first experimental group (control) included clinically healthy animals, the second experimental group was formed from calves suffering from dyspepsia, which were treated with the drug "Profzektel-1" from the appearance of the first signs diseases and their disappearance by 7/5. The drug was used twice a day with colostrum at a dose of 0.5-0.7 g per kg of body weight. Blood was taken to monitor the state of metabolic processes in the body of newborn calves of the experimental groups on the 5th-6th day (at the time of their clinical recovery).
Це стосується показників кислотно-лужного стану крові, водно-електролітного, вуглеводного, білкового, азотового, ліпідного обмінів та активності специфічних для клініко-лабораторного аналізу ферментів крові (табл.).As a result of experimental tests of the drug "Profzektel-1" for dyspepsia in newborn calves, it was established that there is no probable difference between the majority of blood parameters in healthy and sick 2o Experimental animals. This refers to indicators of the acid-alkaline state of blood, water-electrolyte, carbohydrate, protein, nitrogen, lipid metabolism and the activity of blood enzymes specific for clinical and laboratory analysis (table).
The probably low content of the non-protein nitrogen-containing compound creatinine and the physiological level of total protein and albumin in the blood plasma of calves, after their treatment with the experimental drug, indicates the activation of various anabolic processes in the tissues of the test calves.
The positive effect of the drug on the hematopoietic function of specialized tissues and the development of i) regenerative processes in them is evident. The hematocrit value of blood in sick calves remains slightly elevated, which indicates a tendency to restore the water balance in their bodies.
On the 5th-6th day of life, the newborn calves of the second experimental group looked cheerful, had a good appetite, were active when drinking colostrum, and had no clinical signs of indigestion and dehydration. The use of the therapeutic drug "Profzektel-1" made it possible to reduce the duration of the disease to two or three days. For comparison, with the traditional scheme of treatment, calves get sick from four to seven Ge! days
