Disclosed is a method of electric submerged arc hard-facing on edges of cylindrical components, at which a flux is supported by an inclined forming element. For the purpose of improvement of the quality of shaping weld metal when using a consumable electrode and increase of the process output, the inclined forming element is made in the form of a bar. The bar is spring-loaded at the angle of 45-60° to the axis of electrode, and the length of bar is set equal to the length of weld pool at steady-state mode of hard-facing.
