Description
The invention belongs to ferrous metallurgy, in particular to the development of methods for manufacturing cast rolls of high quality.
There is a well-known method of casting rolled rolls (AS USSR Mo 692680, MKY B220 25/00, publ. 1979), according to which the modification of the cast iron melt is carried out with magnesium or ligatures containing magnesium in a foundry ladle and additionally provides for the introduction of current graphitizing modifiers, which also contain magnesium.
The disadvantage of this method is the presence of a large number of magnesium non-metallic inclusions in the working layer and core of such rolls, which reduces the strength properties of the material of the rolls.
України Мо 93800,The closest analog in terms of technical essence and the result that is achieved to the proposed method is the method of casting rolling rolls from cast iron with vermicular graphite, which includes primary and secondary modification of cast iron, in which the primary modification is carried out in a pouring ladle with a complex modifier based on rare earth elements, and the secondary involves the introduction of ferrosilicon on the jet (Ukrainian patent Mo 93800,
2011 р.).IPC (2011.01) B220 25/00, publ. 2011).
The disadvantage of this method is insufficiently high strength properties of the roll material.
The invention is based on the task of increasing the strength of rolled cast iron, which modern production requires.
The technical result is that, according to the proposed method, the secondary modification is carried out with a mechanical mixture of ferrosilicon, gadolinium oxide and dysprosium oxide and contributes to increasing the strength properties of cast iron by changing the shape of graphite inclusions and increasing the dispersion of the pearlite component in its structure.
This task is solved by developing a method of casting rolled rolls, which includes primary modification in a pouring ladle with a complex modifier based on rare earth elements 0.5-0.7 95 by mass of the melt and secondary modification, which is carried out by a mechanical mixture of ferrosilicon FS75, gadolinium oxide and dysprosium oxide in a ratio of 8:1:1 on a metal jet when pouring a roll form with cast iron at a consumption of the mixture in the amount of 0.24-0.48 95 from the mass of the melt.
Особливістю макроструктури прокатних валків по глибині бочки є наявність трьох макрозон: робочий (поверхневий) шар з білого або половинчастого чавуну - 20-35 мм, перехідна зона - 40-A feature of the macrostructure of rolling rolls along the depth of the barrel is the presence of three macrozones: the working (surface) layer of white or semi-cast iron - 20-35 mm, the transition zone - 40-
8:1:1.From 60 mm and the central part (cast iron of the perlite-graphite class). The quality of rolled rolls depends on the length of the working layer and the transition zone. The depth of the working layer in the proposed method is ensured by modification with rare earth metals. To increase the strength of the transition zone and the central part of the roll, it is recommended to carry out secondary modification with a mechanical mixture of ferrosilicon FS75, gadolinium oxide and dysprosium oxide. With additives, it is lower than 0.24 wt. 95 this leads to a decrease in the strength characteristics of the roll material and to its breakage. An increase in the mixture additive is higher than 0.48 wt. 96 can lead to peeling of the working layer during the operation of the roll. Thus, secondary modification must be carried out using 0.24-0.48 95 by weight of the melt of a mechanical mixture of ferrosilicon, gadolinium oxide and dysprosium oxide in a ratio of 8:1:1.
When establishing the necessary quantitative parameters of the method, the following was used.
The primary modification of cast iron was carried out according to the method described in the patent of Ukraine Mo 93800, that is, in a pouring ladle with a complex modifier based on rare earth elements 0.5-0.7 9o from the mass of the melt in order to obtain vermicular-shaped graphite inclusions. Increasing or decreasing the consumption of the complex modifier led to the production of spherical or plate-shaped graphite inclusions and therefore reduced the strength properties of the roll material.
Secondary modification on the cast iron jet when filling the roll mold with cast iron according to the proposed method must be carried out with a mechanical mixture of ferrosilicon FS75, gadolinium oxide and dysprosium oxide in a ratio of 8:1:1 using an additive of 0.24-0.48 95 by mass of the melt. Increasing or decreasing the consumption of the mechanical mixture did not lead to the necessary dispersion of the pearlite component in its structure and improvement of the shape of the vermicular graphite inclusions, and therefore reduced the bending strength of the rolled roll material.
A series of laboratory studies established that in order to obtain the necessary high level of bending strength of the material of the rolled roll, it is necessary to add to the alloy, wt. 905: 0.16-0.32 silicon, 0.02-0.04 gadolinium oxide and 0.02-0.04 dysprosium oxide. To ensure the introduction of the minimum recommended amounts of silicon, gadolinium oxide and dysprosium oxide into the melt, it is necessary to introduce individually 0.16 wt. 95 ferrosilicon, 0.02 wt. 95 gadolinium oxide and 0.02 wt. 95 dysprosium oxide. Based on this, in order to achieve the set goal, the amount of ferrosilicon, gadolinium oxide and dysprosium oxide in the mechanical mixture should be in the ratio of 8:1:1. These requirements are met by the components of the mixture containing, wt.
Fo: 1) ferrosilicon grade FS75 DSTU 4127:2002; 2) gadolinium oxide; 3) dysprosium oxide.
Since the proposed technical solution is post-bake processing, the value of the additive for the minimum consumption of the mixture will be 0.24 95 from the mass of the melt, and accordingly the maximum - 0.48 95 from the mass of the melt. Increasing or decreasing the proportion of ferrosilicon, or gadolinium oxide, or dysprosium oxide in the mixture will not allow obtaining the necessary concentrations of silicon and gadolinium oxides and dysprosium, and therefore will lead to failure to achieve the set goal.
75.The method is carried out as follows. The parameters of the proposed method of processing cast iron were established in laboratory and industrial conditions. Experimental batches of rolls with dimensions of 2,460 x 1,016 mm were cast using the method of the closest analogue and the proposed method. Melting was carried out in an industrial frequency induction furnace ICHT-6. The following materials were used as charge materials: rolled roll scrap, cast iron, steel scrap, ferroalloys. As modifiers, for the primary modification of the ligature based on rare earth metals of the SRZMZO brand, and for the secondary modification according to the proposed method, a mechanical mixture of ferrosilicon of the FS75 brand, ultradispersed gadolinium oxide and ultradispersed dysprosium oxide in a ratio of 8:1:1, and according to the closest analogue, only ferrosilicon of the brand FS75.
A ladle with a capacity of 10 tons was used for pouring the roll forms. Cast iron melt with a temperature of 1410250 was released from the furnace into a foundry ladle, at the bottom of which was loaded the necessary amount of crushed (fraction 70-90 mm) ligature containing RZM. After exposure for 5-10 min. the melt was poured into a stationary combined casting mold to the overflow and held for 3-4 minutes. Next, pouring was continued and the required amount of secondary modifier - ferrosilicon (fractions of 10-15 mm) according to the closest analogue or a mechanical mixture of ferrosilicon of the same fraction, ultradispersed gadolinium oxide and ultradispersed dysprosium oxide was introduced into the melt stream.
