Description
The invention belongs to ferrous metallurgy, in particular to the development of methods for manufacturing cast rolls of high quality.
There is a well-known method of casting rolled rolls (AS USSR Mo 692680, MPK B220 25/00, publ. 1979), according to which the modification of the cast iron melt is carried out with magnesium or ligatures containing magnesium in a casting ladle and additionally provides for the introduction of current graphitizing modifiers, which also contain magnesium.
The disadvantage of this method is the presence of a large number of magnesium non-metallic inclusions in the working layer and core of such rolls, which reduces the strength properties of the material of the rolls.
України Мо 93800,The closest analogue in terms of technical essence and the result achieved to the proposed method is the method of casting rolling rolls from cast iron with vermicular graphite, which includes primary and secondary modification of cast iron, in which the primary modification is carried out in a pouring ladle with a complex modifier based on rare earth elements, and the secondary involves the introduction of ferrosilicon on the jet (Ukrainian patent Mo 93800,
2011р.).IPC (2011.01) B220 25/00, publ. 2011).
The disadvantage of this method is insufficiently high strength properties of the roll material.
The invention is based on the task of increasing the strength of rolled iron and obtaining an optimal transition zone in the rolling roll.
The technical result is that, according to the proposed method, secondary modification with a mechanical mixture of ferrosilicon, a modifier for cast iron castings based on magnesium, silicon and iron and rare earth slag helps to increase the strength properties of rolled iron by changing the shape of graphite inclusions and increasing the dispersion of the pearlite component in its structure, as well as obtaining the optimal range of sizes of the transition zone of the rolled roll.
This problem is solved by developing a method of casting rolling rolls, which includes primary and secondary modification, in which the secondary modification is carried out by a mechanical mixture of ferrosilicon, a modifier for cast iron castings based on magnesium, silicon and iron and rare earth slag in the ratio of 4:4:1 on the jet of metal when pouring a roll form with cast iron at a consumption of the mixture in the amount of 0.45-0.9 9o from the mass of the melt.
A feature of the macrostructure of rolling rolls along the depth of the barrel is the presence of three macrozones:
4:4:1.From the working (surface) layer of white or semi-cast iron - 20-35 mm, the transition zone - 40-60 mm and the central part (cast iron of the perlite-graphite class). The quality of rolled rolls depends on the length of the working layer and the transition zone. The depth of the working layer in the proposed method is ensured by modification with rare earth metals. To adjust the depth of the transition zone, secondary modification is recommended with a mechanical mixture of ferrosilicon, a modifier for cast iron castings based on magnesium, silicon and iron (grade KMg2 DSTU 3362-96) and rare earth slag in a ratio of 4:4:1. When adding a mixture less than 0.45 95 of the mass of the melt, the transition zone increases, which in some cases leads to a decrease in the bending strength of the roll material and to its breakage. An increase in the mixture additive by more than 0.995 of the mass of the melt reduces the depth of the transition zone and can lead to its complete disappearance, which causes peeling of the working layer during the operation of the roll. Thus, based on the reliability of obtaining the depth of the transition zone of strictly regulated dimensions and the increased strength of the core and necks of the roll, secondary modification must be carried out using 0.45-0.995 of the mass of the melt of a mechanical mixture of ferrosilicon, a modifier for magnesium-based iron castings, silicon and iron and rare earth slag in a ratio of 4:4:1.
When establishing the necessary quantitative parameters of the method, the following was used.
The technology of primary modification of rolled iron was carried out according to the method outlined in the Ukrainian patent Mo 93800, that is, the primary modification was carried out in a pouring ladle with a complex modifier based on rare earth elements 0.5-0.7 96 from the mass of the melt in order to obtain vermicular-shaped graphite inclusions.
Increasing or decreasing the consumption of the complex modifier led to the production of spherical or plate-shaped graphite inclusions and therefore reduced the strength properties of the roll material.
Secondary modification on a cast iron jet when pouring a roll mold with cast iron according to the proposed method must be carried out with a mechanical mixture of ferrosilicon, a modifier for cast iron castings based on magnesium, silicon and iron and rare earth slag in a ratio of 4:4:1 on a metal jet when pouring a roll mold with cast iron at the consumption of the mixture in the amount of 0.45-0.9 Fo from the mass of the melt.
Серією лабораторних досліджень встановлено, що для одержання необхідного підвищеного 60 рівня міцності серцевини прокатного валка необхідно додати у сплав, мас. 95: кремнію 0,87-1,12;A series of laboratory studies established that in order to obtain the necessary increased 60 level of strength of the core of the rolled roll, it is necessary to add to the alloy, wt. 95: silicon 0.87-1.12;
All other ratios of chemical elements do not allow solving the problem set in the invention.
To ensure the introduction of the minimum recommended amounts of silicon and components of the modifier and rare earth slag into the melt, it is necessary to introduce individually - 0.20 95 ferrosilicon, 0.20 96 modifier for cast iron and 0.05 95 rare earth slag.
Based on this, in order to achieve the set task, the amount of ferrosilicon, modifier for magnesium, silicon and iron-based cast iron, as well as rare earth slag in the mixture should be in the ratio of 4:4:1. These requirements are met by the components of the mixture containing, wt. 90: 1) ferrosilicon grade FS75 DSTU 4127:2002; 2) modifier for cast iron KMg2 DSTU 3362-96; 3) rare earth slag: NgOz 5-7; 5IO" 3-9; Sao 40-45 and
Since the proposed technical solution is post-bake processing, the amount of additive should be minimal, and accordingly, the minimum consumption of the mixture will be 0.45 95, and accordingly, the maximum - 0.9 95 of the mass of the melt. Increasing or decreasing the proportion of ferrosilicon or modifier for castings from iron or rare earth slag in the mixture will not allow obtaining the required concentrations of chemical elements, and therefore will lead to failure to achieve the set task.
The method is carried out as follows.
Zo (fraction 70-90 mm) ligatures. After exposure for 5-10 min. the melt was poured into the mold to the overflow and held for 3-4 minutes. Further pouring was continued and the required amount of secondary modifier fraction (10-15 mm fractions) - ferrosilicon according to the closest analogue or a mechanical mixture of ferrosilicon, KMha2 modifier and rare earth slag of the same fraction - was introduced into the melt stream.
