Abstract
Винахід представляє спосіб одержання металу, причому спосіб включає стадії, в яких змішують оксид металу з відновником, що включає метал Групи II або його гідрид, в присутності води і/або органічного розчинника, нагрівають суміш оксиду металу і відновника, вимивають одержаний матеріал водою і промивають вимитий матеріал розбавленою водною кислотою. Як правило, метал являє собою перехідний або рідкоземельний метал, оксид металу являє собою оксид перехідного або рідкоземельного металу, і відновник вибирають із кальцію або магнію або гідридів кальцію і магнію. Як правило, метал виходить з чистотою близько 98,5-99,1 %, і спосіб є набагато швидшим, ніж способи згідно з прототипом, і дає набагато менші викиди вуглекислого газу, тим самим являючи собою варіант, який є більш екологічно стійким, сприятливим для навколишнього середовища і пристосовуваним для промисловості. Зокрема, хороші результати спостерігаються при одержанні перехідних металів, таких як титан, тантал і ніобій.
