Description

連續式超臨界發泡及混練押出設備
本新型是有關於一種押出設備,特別是指一種將超臨界流體與一原料進行混練後再押出的連續式超臨界發泡及混練押出設備。
已知的塑膠押出成型製程,將各類材料複合、細緻化,或進行改質的混練過程相當重要,而其中一種將塑膠改質的方式為連續押出方式,可形成發泡材料。參閱圖1,所述連續押出方式是藉由一押出設備9進行,該押出設備9包含一個形成有一進料口911的混練管91、一個可轉動地設置於該混練管91內的螺桿92、一個進氣管93,以及一個押出模頭94。進行連續式押出製程時,將一熔融態的原料自該進料口911輸入該混練管91內,該螺桿92可以轉動推進該原料,而該進氣管93用於注入二氧化碳、氮氣等超臨界流體至該混練管91中,利用超臨界流體作為連續式押出發泡製程的發泡劑,藉由其對高分子塑膠原料的高擴散性與溶解性,可形成高分子與發泡氣體的單相溶液態,最後再由該押出模頭94押出成型發泡材料。
然而實務上發現,所使用的原料有一定的含水量,而押出製程的高溫會使原料中的部分水分蒸發形成水蒸氣,水蒸氣沿著該混練管91流動,並且有往該進料口911流出的趨勢,如此就會於該進料口911形成向外方向的阻力,使得持續自該進料口911進入的原料的進料過程不順暢,因此已知押出設備9無法用於押出含水率過高的原料,通常使用於含水率小於20%左右的原料。由上述說明可知,該押出設備9的應用受到限制,有待改良。
因此,本新型之目的,即在提供一種能克服先前技術的缺點的連續式超臨界發泡及混練押出設備。
於是,本新型連續式超臨界發泡及混練押出設備,適用於將一熔融態的原料押出成型,並包含一個第一混練單元、一個第一進氣單元,以及一個押出單元。
該第一混練單元包括一個適用於供該原料輸入的第一管、一個可轉動地設置於該第一管內並用於推進該原料的第一螺桿,以及一個與該第一螺桿並排且用於與該第一螺桿配合擠壓並推進該原料的輔助螺桿,該輔助螺桿的轉速為該第一螺桿的轉速的兩倍以上,該輔助螺桿與該第一螺桿的轉動方向相反。該第一進氣單元連接該第一混練單元,並用於將氣體注入該第一管內。該押出單元位於該第一混練單元下游,並且用於押出該原料。
本新型之功效在於:藉由設置該輔助螺桿來配合該第一螺桿,且該輔助螺桿的轉速為該第一螺桿的兩倍以上,能產生良好的攪拌、擠壓、推進效果,可避免原料產生的水蒸氣朝進料處流動,因此進料過程順暢,並使注入的氣體與原料充分且均勻的混合,混練效果佳,可製成品質佳的成品。
在本新型被詳細描述之前,應當注意在以下的說明內容中,類似的元件是以相同的編號來表示。
參閱圖2、3,本新型連續式超臨界發泡及混練押出設備之一第一實施例,適用於將一熔融態的原料押出成型,該原料例如塑膠材料、生物可分解性材料(例如聚乳酸),或至少兩種材料的混合,該原料能通過本新型製成發泡材料、橡塑共融材料等等。本第一實施例的連續式超臨界發泡及混練押出設備包含一個第一混練單元1、一個第二混練單元2、一個第一進氣單元3、一個第二進氣單元4、一個冷卻單元5,以及一個押出單元6。
該第一混練單元1包括一個適用於供該原料輸入的第一管11、一個用於將該原料輸入至該第一管11內的進料筒12、一個可轉動地設置於該第一管11內並用於推進該原料的第一螺桿13、一個與該第一螺桿13並排的輔助螺桿14、一個用於驅動該第一螺桿13轉動的第一動力源15,以及一個用於驅動該輔助螺桿14轉動的輔助動力源16。
該第一管11為一中空管體並沿一輸送方向T長向延伸,並具有一連通該進料筒12的進料口111。該第一螺桿13沿該輸送方向T長向延伸,並具有一個位於該輔助螺桿14旁的第一桿段131,以及一個連接該第一桿段131且相對於該第一桿段131遠離該輔助螺桿14的第二桿段132。該第一桿段131形成有一連續式的第一螺紋133,所述連續式是指該第一螺紋133為連續未間斷地螺旋盤繞。該第一螺紋133具有數個第一螺紋段135與數個第二螺紋段136,該等第二螺紋段136的螺距S2小於該等第一螺紋段135的螺距S1。該第二桿段132形成有一非連續式的第二螺紋134,以及數個彼此間隔地位於該第二螺紋134的延伸路徑上的第一缺口137,藉由該等第一缺口137使該第二螺紋134並非連續,而是有局部斷開。
本實施例的輔助螺桿14的位置大致對應該進料口111,且其螺紋為連續式。該輔助螺桿14沿該輸送方向T長向延伸,用於與該第一螺桿13配合擠壓與推進原料。該輔助螺桿14的長度小於該第一螺桿13的長度,該輔助螺桿14的轉速為該第一螺桿13的轉速的兩倍以上,且該輔助螺桿14與該第一螺桿13的轉動方向相反。該輔助螺桿14與該第一螺桿13分別以該輔助動力源16與第一動力源15來驅動,而非用單一個動力源驅動。該第一動力源15及該輔助動力源16例如馬達。
該第二混練單元2位於該第一混練單元1與該押出單元6間,並包括一個第二管21、一個可轉動地設置於該第二管21內並用於推進該原料的第二螺桿22、一個用於驅動該第二螺桿22轉動的第二動力源23,以及一個銜接該第一管11與該第二管21的連接管24。該第二管21為一中空管體,並沿該輸送方向T長向延伸。該第二螺桿22也沿該輸送方向T長向延伸,並形成有一非連續的第三螺紋221,以及數個彼此間隔地位於該第三螺紋221的延伸路徑上的第二缺口222。藉由該等第二缺口222使該第三螺紋221並非連續,而是有局部斷開。本實施例的連接管24沿一垂直於該輸送方向T的方向長向延伸,該連接管24不平行於該第一管11與該第二管21。藉由該連接管24使該第一管11與該第二管21間形成轉折連接的結構。
該第一進氣單元3連接該第一混練單元1,並用於將氣體注入該第一管11內。該第一進氣單元3包括圖未示的一管路、一閥門等元件。所述氣體例如二氧化碳、氮氣,並以超臨界流體的狀態注入該第一管11。
該第二進氣單元4連接該連接管24,並用於將氣體注入該連接管24內,且氣體也會順著流入該第二管21內,因此該第二進氣單元4也相當於用於將氣體注入該第二管21內。該第二進氣單元4包括圖未示的一管路、一閥門等元件。所述氣體例如二氧化碳、氮氣,並以超臨界流體的狀態注入該連接管24。
該冷卻單元5位於該第一混練單元1與該押出單元6間,並用於冷卻該原料。具體來說,本實施例的冷卻單元5靠近該第二混練單元2的末段區域,並且利用溫控系統來控制達到所需要的冷卻溫度。
該押出單元6位於該第一混練單元1下游,也位於該第二混練單元2下游,並且適用於輸出該原料。該押出單元6包括一個位於該第二管21下游的齒輪組61,以及一個位於該齒輪組61下游的押出模頭62。該齒輪組61包括數個相互嚙合的齒輪(圖未示),藉由齒輪轉動產生泵浦的效果,用於將該第二混練單元2輸送而來的原料推進到該押出模頭62,再由該押出模頭62押出具有預定型態的成品。該押出模頭62押出的成品可以為膠粒、管材、棒材、異型材等等。
本新型使用時,該進料筒12將熔融態的原料注入該第一管11內,該第一進氣單元3將氣體注入該第一管11內,該第一螺桿13與該輔助螺桿14之雙桿配合攪拌、擠壓該原料,可以加速推進該原料,並將原料與氣體混練。而且透過該輔助螺桿14的轉速為該第一螺桿13轉速的兩倍以上,使其輔助攪拌、擠壓、推進的效果佳,該輔助螺桿14轉動與該第一螺桿13轉動配合形成強力且朝該輸送方向T的推進力量,具有良好屏障作用,可避免該第一管11內因高溫而產生的水蒸氣往該進料口111的方向回推。其中,該第一螺桿13的第一螺紋133,藉由該等第二螺紋段136的螺距S2相對於第一螺紋段135的螺距S1小,使該等第二螺紋段136排列較密集,因此原料被推送到第二螺紋段136時,能受到較大的壓縮、推擠力量,進而受到充分攪拌與擠壓,有助於使原料與氣體混合均勻,但於實施時,該第一螺紋133所有部位的螺距也可以相等,不以螺距有變化為必要。
此外,透過該第二桿段132之非連續的第二螺紋134設計,該等第一缺口137一方面可以形成剪切原料的效果,另一方面可以使原本被往前推進的部分原料再通過第一缺口137往回流,因此在第二桿段132處,被推動前進的原料與回流的原料就可相互擠壓,並且與氣體一起被充分攪拌混合,再搭配第一進氣單元3的注氣部位也是位於該第二桿段132處,因此氣體與原料的混練效果佳。需要說明的是,上述部分原料回流主要是發生於該第二桿段132處,且回流的量少於往前推進的量,因此整體而言原料還是順暢地往前輸送,而且發生在第二桿段132處的剪切與攪拌效果,並不會影響該第一桿段131處推進原料的效果。此外,本新型不以設置該非連續的第二螺紋134為必要,也就是說,該第一螺桿13上的螺紋也可以整體呈連續式。
接著,原料自該第一混練單元1輸入至該第二混練單元2,由於該連接管24轉折連接該第一管11與該第二管21,透過管體間的轉折可提升原料被擠壓的效果,使混練更均勻,而且於此處透過該第二進氣單元4注入氣體,可確保氣體量足夠,並且再進一步地使原料與氣體充分混練。接著原料受到該第二螺桿22的轉動而往前推進,其中,該第二螺桿22形成有非連續的該第三螺紋221與該等第二缺口222,其功能與作用相同於該第二螺紋134與該等第一缺口137,因此,原料於該第二管21內,同樣可因該等第二缺口222所產生的剪切以及供原料回流的作用,使原料在該第二螺桿22處可被剪切、充分攪拌,並與氣體充分混練,達到均相效果。最後,已充分混練的原料受到該冷卻單元5冷卻至適合後續步驟進行的溫度,再通過該押出單元6,由該押出單元6的押出模頭62押出成型預定型態,即完成押出製程。
其中,在本第一實施例,於第一混練單元1與第二混練單元2中的加工溫度範圍為 60℃~300℃,壓力大於10Bar,該第一螺桿13與第二螺桿22的長徑比(長度與直徑的比)皆為 6:1~58:1,該輔助螺桿14的長徑比為6:1~32:1,藉由各螺桿上述長徑比,達到良好的送料、推進效果,且長徑比可依據原料擠出量多寡、製品的截面大小等因素來作適當調整。原料在第一管11與第二管21中的流速大於5克/秒,氣體流速大於0.5克/秒,藉由適當的原料流速與氣體流速,使原料與氣體於單位時間內的提供量適當,兩者間的比例適當,注入速度、前進速度也適當,達到充分混練效果。
綜上所述,本新型藉由上述元件設計,可以配合超臨界流體達成連續式押出製程。而該輔助螺桿14配合該第一螺桿13,且該輔助螺桿14的轉速為該第一螺桿13的兩倍以上,能產生良好的攪拌、擠壓、推進效果,可使氣體與原料充分且均勻的混合,混練效果佳,以製成品質佳的成品。也因為該輔助螺桿14的設計,使本新型的螺桿推進力道強,可在第一時間於該進料口111處就以較強力道推送原料,避免原料產生的水蒸氣或各管道內的水蒸氣往該進料口111流動,使進料過程順暢。因此本新型也能適用於押出高含水率的原料,例如含水率為70%左右的原料仍能使用,故本新型可押出的原料種類較多,應用性廣。
參閱圖4,本新型連續式超臨界發泡及混練押出設備之一第二實施例,與該第一實施例的結構大致相同,不同處在於:本第二實施例的連接管24的長度方向平行該輸送方向T,該連接管24、該第一管11與該第二管21的長度方向平行。本第二實施例的該第二進氣單元4連接該第二管21,並將氣體直接注入該第二管21內。
參閱圖5,本新型連續式超臨界發泡及混練押出設備之一第三實施例,與該第一實施例的結構大致相同,不同處在於:本第三實施例的押出設備包含該第一混練單元1、該第一進氣單元3、該冷卻單元5,以及該押出單元6。由於本新型透過該第一混練單元1就可以達到良好的混練效果,因此實施時可以省略該第二混練單元2(圖1)與該第二進氣單元4(圖1)。本第三實施例的該押出單元6連接該第一混練單元1。該冷卻單元5位於該第一混練單元1末段區域。當原料與氣體在該第一混練單元1混練完成後,該冷卻單元5冷卻原料,並由該押出單元6押出成型。
惟以上所述者,僅為本新型之實施例而已,當不能以此限定本新型實施之範圍,凡是依本新型申請專利範圍及專利說明書內容所作之簡單的等效變化與修飾,皆仍屬本新型專利涵蓋之範圍內。

Claims (8)

  1. 一種連續式超臨界發泡及混練押出設備,適用於將一熔融態的原料押出成型,並包含: 一個第一混練單元,包括一個適用於供該原料輸入的第一管、一個可轉動地設置於該第一管內並用於推進該原料的第一螺桿,以及一個與該第一螺桿並排且用於與該第一螺桿配合擠壓並推進該原料的輔助螺桿,該輔助螺桿的轉速為該第一螺桿的轉速的兩倍以上,該輔助螺桿與該第一螺桿的轉動方向相反; 一個第一進氣單元,連接該第一混練單元,並用於將氣體注入該第一管內;及 一個押出單元,位於該第一混練單元下游,並且用於押出該原料。
  2. 如請求項1所述的連續式超臨界發泡及混練押出設備,其中,該第一螺桿具有一個位於該輔助螺桿旁的第一桿段,以及一個連接該第一桿段的第二桿段,該第一桿段形成有一連續式的第一螺紋,該第二桿段形成有一非連續式的第二螺紋,以及數個彼此間隔地位於該第二螺紋的延伸路徑上的第一缺口。
  3. 如請求項1所述的連續式超臨界發泡及混練押出設備,還包含一個位於該第一混練單元與該押出單元間的第二混練單元,該第二混練單元包括一個第二管,以及一個可轉動地設置於該第二管內並用於推進該原料的第二螺桿。
  4. 如請求項3所述的連續式超臨界發泡及混練押出設備,其中,該第二混練單元還包括一個銜接該第一管與該第二管的連接管,該連接管不平行於該第一管與該第二管,該連續式超臨界發泡及混練押出設備還包含一個用於將氣體注入該連接管內的第二進氣單元。
  5. 如請求項3所述的連續式超臨界發泡及混練押出設備,還包含一個用於將氣體注入該第二管內的第二進氣單元。
  6. 如請求項3所述的連續式超臨界發泡及混練押出設備,其中,該第二螺桿形成有一非連續的第三螺紋,以及數個彼此間隔地位於該第三螺紋的延伸路徑上的第二缺口。
  7. 如請求項1所述的連續式超臨界發泡及混練押出設備,其中,該第一螺桿形成有一第一螺紋,該第一螺紋具有數個第一螺紋段與數個第二螺紋段,該等第二螺紋段的螺距小於該等第一螺紋段的螺距。
  8. 如請求項1所述的連續式超臨界發泡及混練押出設備,其中,該第一螺桿的長徑比為 6:1~58:1,該輔助螺桿的長徑比為6:1~32:1。
