Abstract

Description

一種將第一部分燙印箔幅材與第二部分燙印箔幅材連接的方法及一種燙印箔幅材
本發明揭示了一種將一第部分燙印箔幅材與第二部分燙印箔幅材連接的方法與裝置,其中上述兩部分燙印箔幅材可以是熱轉印箔或者層壓箔並且包含有載體箔和轉印層,其中上述轉印層由整面的金屬鍍層或是顏料層構成,本發明亦揭示了一種可以通過該工藝形成的燙印箔幅材整體。
在對熱轉印箔和層壓箔的加工和應用時往往需要將幅材進行黏合連接已獲得一個總長更長的幅材並且優先通過複卷機,將期望的長度無停頓的纏繞在輥輪上。
其中燙印箔幅材的長度越長,在使用過程中所可以獲得的生產效率也就越高。不僅如此,在由於更換輥輪所一併產生的調整與停工的時間也會一併減少。一種常見的黏合燙印箔幅材的方法被稱為拼接法,其中通過自黏型的膠帶將兩個燙印箔幅材黏合在一起。其黏合面通常是熱轉印箔或者層壓箔(其中一層是鍍有可以脫落的轉印層的薄膜)的非鍍層面。該膠帶的寬度一般介於2cm~5cm之間。此類膠帶的厚度通常在30μm~130μm之間。此外在黏合面兩側皆使用膠帶的方式也同樣得到使用。
此種通過膠帶將燙印箔幅材拼接的方法成本合適並且可以以相對較高的精準度讓燙印箔幅材相互連接,且其拼接部(即其連接縫合部)擁有很好的抗拉性,尤其是在燙印箔幅材傳動的方向具有較好的抗拉 性。而薄膜在其傳動方向具有較好抗拉性之所以關鍵是因為:在比如印刷機、層壓機、覆膜機、熱燙印機、冷燙印機等對燙印箔幅材進行加工處理時產生的力尤其是俾使燙印箔幅材快速傳輸而產生的沿幅材傳動方向的的牽引力。
在燙印圖案花紋時,圖案花紋或者主題通常通過一特定設計排佈于燙印箔幅材之上,其排佈的行列及軌跡遵循特定規律。其中相鄰的被燙印的花紋圖案通常極其靠近,以至於所使用的連接燙印箔幅材的膠帶也位於燙印的區域,即位于燙印的圖案花紋之中。因此被膠帶覆蓋的薄膜區域也因此無法燙印而失去用途。為了防止錯誤的燙印以及由於膠帶或者膠帶邊緣溢出的黏合劑對燙印***的污染,通常黏合部必須被甄別出並且必須對幅材進行繼續進給,如此一來也造成了原材料的耗損和生產效率的下降。為了使黏合部易於檢測,通常會使用有色的黏膠,其中絕大多數情況下使用非透明的黏膠。
此種幅材拼接的方法的缺點在於,在通常使用的歸屬於常用黏膠的冷黏膠在較高的壓力下,比如在幅材輥輪中幅材拼接的部位可能被擠壓出來,以至於輥輪的兩個相鄰的捲繞層黏合在一起而使得薄膜無法展開。除此之外在輥輪內被擠壓出的冷黏膠還可能污染大量的燙印箔幅材並導致其失去用途,從而增加了耗材。其另一缺點在於到目前為止使用的黏膠相對較厚,此種黏膠的使用會給燙印箔幅材輥輪內的繞卷層帶來讓人困擾的標記或者印痕,從而額外導致位於拼接部旁的燙印箔幅材無法繼續加工使用。
本專利的目的在於提供一種改良的方法以及一種改良的裝置,以此避免或者削弱上述缺點所造成的影響。
根據本發明所述,上述之任務通過一個使第一部分燙印箔幅 材與第二部分燙印箔幅材的連接方法來解決。其中第一部分與第二部分燙印箔幅材皆為熱轉印箔或者層壓箔並且包含有載體箔和熱轉印層(尤其是以金屬鍍層或者一顏料層)。其中兩薄膜的連接通過一種黏合劑來實現,該黏合劑在室溫穩定狀態下(20℃,標準大氣壓1013mbar)處於非活化狀態(即不具黏合性),而通過熱量或者輻射的輸入可以活化該黏合劑,即在此方法中該黏合劑可以相應被活化。該熱轉印層亦可以包含光學有效微觀結構,如衍射或折射的結構,如光學防偽技術Kinegram®、全息圖、啞光結構、零階衍射結構或者微棱鏡以及微透鏡結構。該熱轉印層的可見性尤其可以通過金屬箔、金屬連接或者所謂高折射率膜等反射膜得以加強。而熱轉印層可以由多層系統、單色或者多色印刷塗層以及攙和有可變磁性色素材料的塗層構成。
在此由於熱黏合劑或者反應型熱熔膠,尤其是通過一種通過輻射而可以硬化的黏合劑的使用,可以使在先前技術包含的通過壓力而使黏合劑擠壓出去的缺點得以避免。上述之熱熔膠的使用也可以保證很好的牢固性,並保證在燙印箔幅材黏合部以相對較少的材料便能達到所需要的幅材抗拉性。而在通過輻射硬化型黏合劑中一般首選由紫外線輻射硬化膠,原則上通過如藍光或者離子輻射而硬化的黏合劑也可以相應使用。而反應型黏合劑又包含單組份和多組分反應型黏合劑,其也可以在此使用。此類熱熔膠或者紫外線輻射硬化型黏合劑在室溫下呈固態並且不具黏合性,因而可以最大限度避免前文提及的黏合劑被擠壓而溢出的情況,即使有少量黏合劑殘餘也不會具有黏合性也不會在繞卷的燙印箔幅材中並且/或者在燙印箔幅材的加工作業(熱燙印、冷燙印)時而造成污染。
與此同時該發明的發明人也認識到,在本發明中第一與第二部分燙印箔幅材的連接即使是在使用熱燙印箔時也不會產生對兩部分燙印箔幅材的損害。尤其必須保證在最底部的燙印箔幅材末尾部分的連接部或 者兩個燙印箔幅材的銜接處也可以進行燙印作業,並且保證在燙印的花紋圖案上不能明顯的識別出燙印箔幅材銜接處的存在。事實證明,通常在燙印箔幅材銜接處燙印的產品品質滿足相當多數實際運用領域中的要求,即使與不在幅材銜接處燙印的產品品質相比,上述產品亦足夠令人滿意。

在本發明首選的具體實施形式中該黏合劑通過一種特殊的(不同于燙印箔幅材的)帶狀或者其他任何適宜的方式構成的載體予以提供。在此即使是使用了熱熔膠或者輻射硬化黏合劑時,使用膠帶的技術依然被沿用。其中通過載體提供黏合劑是一種非常適宜的方式,因為如此一來黏合劑就可以與載體一起儲存使用。
此種帶狀載體通常為透明載體,尤其是該透明載體所用材料由包含有聚對苯甲酸乙二酯(PET)或者聚酯。除此之外,能夠用作帶狀 載體或者幅材的材料還包括:聚對苯甲酸乙二酯(PET,以下皆簡寫為PET)、雙軸取向聚丙烯幅材(BOPP)、PET-G、PVC、PC、PP、PS、PEN、ABS、合成紙或者有以上所述材料兩種或兩種以上材料層壓而形成的組合體材料(PET-G=聚對苯二甲酸乙二醇酯-1.4-環己烷二甲醇酯;PVC=聚氯乙烯;PC=聚碳酸酯;PP=聚丙烯;PS=聚苯乙烯;PEN=聚萘二甲酸乙二酯;ABS=ABS樹脂)。由於帶狀載體的透明性,即使在當載體處於燙印箔幅材重疊區域時,也可以透過載體辨識出圖案,由此便可以精準的在燙印箔幅材連接部位進行燙印作業。當燙印箔幅材為冷燙印箔並且相互連接時,比如可以在冷燙印作業時用足夠強度的紫外線照射法透過透明的帶狀載體進行照射。
由於幅材通常也包含有PET材質的載體層,而使得PET材料尤其適合使用在帶狀載體之上。
此特性亦可以解釋為:為達到較好的抗拉性,在連接部位被固定于燙印箔幅材之間的載體與其對應幅材的熱膨脹係數差距不應該大於50%,而不大於20%則為較佳,最適宜為不大於10%。而在另一種較為適宜的具體實施方法中,上述的帶狀載體的厚度在5μm~50μm之間,而在8μm~20μm則為更佳,而最優值在10μm~15μm之間。而其中的黏膠層的厚度在1~5μm之間,而2~3μm則為更佳。
上述極低厚度的帶狀載體(載體的厚度在12μm左右,附加黏膠層3μm的厚度總共15μm)在燙印時或者即使在帶狀載體成為幅材成品的一部分時也不會對燙印產品產生任何影響。
將黏膠塗覆於載體上的工藝也分為以下幾種:
在第一種方式中,在將帶狀載體固定之前,會對兩個燙印箔幅材進行相應的切割和定位,以使得兩燙印箔幅材相互緊挨,而帶狀載體將被相互緊挨的幅材末端處疊加放置,並且活化黏合劑,從而使得帶狀載 體黏合於兩幅材之間。
此處使用的黏合技術亦是和傳統的膠帶和黏合劑技術相類似,而在此處使用的熱熔膠或者輻射硬化性黏膠的使用,可以保證更好的黏合效果以及相對更低的耗材。比如即使在帶狀載體厚度極其低的情況下(請參閱上文提及的燙印箔幅材的極低厚度值),也可以保證更好的黏合牢固性。
在此種實施方法中,更傾向於先將兩幅材重疊放置,緊接著在重疊的部位通過兩燙印箔幅材進行切割的作業(其中該切割作業一般通過刀具、剃鬚刀片、切割滾、剪刀、衝壓刀具或者通過雷射以及超聲波來完成),而切割作業之後所形成的幅材末端殘餘即被清除。
通過在幅材固定之前的切割作業可以製作出或多或少無縫銜接的預定連接部。必要時甚至可以通過操作,使得此連接部達到更好的套准精度,從而是此類連接部難以被察覺。在此處套准精度可以被理解為尤其是連接部之間的相對的位置精準度。其中位置精準度只允許在很窄的誤差範圍內浮動,通常為幾百,至多幾千μm的範圍。(在德文中套准精度(Passergenauigkeit)一詞源自於“Passer”或者“Passermarke”,可以被理解為一種光學標靶,通過該光學標靶可以允許誤差範圍進行光學識別。例如光學標靶可以為兩個相互重疊的圓形圖案、十字、三角形或者以上的組合。在德文中“Passermarke”(光學標靶)亦被稱作“Registermarke”。
在第一種實施方法的一種變換形式中,可以在固定帶狀載體之前並在對幅材切割作業之後將兩燙印箔幅材定位,以使其在很小部位重疊,一般重疊部位在幾個毫米的範圍(比如在0.5~4mm之間)。在此時,帶狀載體將在疊加放置於相互重疊放置的燙印箔幅材末端之中,並活化黏合劑。在通過熱燙印帶狀載體而使黏合劑活化的方法中往往不僅帶狀載體的黏合劑被活化,在必要時其底部幅材的熱熔膠也被活化。此種方式的優 點在於:重疊部位底部幅材的黏膠層可以和重疊部位上層幅材的黏膠層黏合。在第一種實施方式的變換形式中還可以在切割作業之後和兩燙印箔幅材定位之前於兩層幅材的底部優先放置一有矽膠鍍層的且具有很少表面黏力的葉狀塊件尤其是矽膠鍍層的鍍層紙。在使用熱熔膠進行黏合時,必須通過壓力和熱量的輸入而活化熱熔膠,此時加裝有矽膠鍍層的葉狀塊件的優點就得以體現。此時鍍有矽膠的塊件或者鍍層紙可以阻止相互黏合的幅材與工作臺的黏合。對於以上所述的具體實施方法(同樣對於以下將被介紹的實施方法),在通過使用熱熔膠進行黏合時,往往傾向於使用線性移動方式運作的上下升降式平燙機,或者旋轉運動的轉輪燙印機,亦或是結合線性移動與旋轉運動的滾燙機來進行熱熔膠的活化。此類機械的使用在此尤為有利。
在第二種具體實施方法中,使用了帶有黏合劑的載體帶,該帶狀載體的雙面都帶有黏合劑。兩燙印箔幅材的末端將被重疊放置,而帶狀載體放置于兩燙印箔幅材末端重疊部位。在特定情況下將在帶狀載體定位之前從載體上剝離處於燙印箔幅材末端之間的保護層,該保護層,例如矽膠層,往往用於保護幅材內部的黏合劑層。
緊接著,位於載體兩面的黏合劑將被活化,而使得帶狀載體黏合與兩燙印箔幅材末端之間,而以此使兩燙印箔幅材的末端黏合在一起。此技術可以保證可靠的牢固性和較高的抗拉強度。
在第三種具體實施方法中的載體帶僅在其下層塗覆有黏合劑,其中兩燙印箔幅材的末端亦被重疊放置,而帶狀載體則被放于兩燙印箔幅材末端重疊區域之間。如此一來可以通過熱燙印機器(平燙機 熱輥燙印機、滾燙機等)的使用,使得第一部分燙印箔幅材的轉印層傳遞到帶狀載體之上,尤其是帶狀載體的上層之上,與此同時帶狀載體的黏合劑從帶狀載體的底層分離並覆蓋到第二部分燙印箔幅材之上。緊接著,該帶狀載 體則被從重疊部位抽離。此後將通過再次使用熱燙印機器(或者可以選擇紫外線照射以及其他高能量的輻射)而使得燙印箔幅材末端在重疊部位相互黏黏而進而牢固連接。上層燙印箔幅材中被剝離轉印層的一面正對著下層燙印箔幅材中具有黏合劑的一面。傳遞到第二部分燙印箔幅材的的黏合劑被活化,而第一部分燙印箔幅材在重疊處的轉印層被剝離,並通過黏合劑在於第二部分燙印箔幅材的重疊部位牢固黏貼。
通過此種方式獲得的連接部位僅包含一個轉印層,即屬於底層燙印箔幅材的轉印層。如此時的燙印箔幅材為冷燙印箔時,由於輻射(如紫外線輻射)不需穿過上層的轉印層,從而使輻射的強度不會有太大的損耗,從而簡化冷燙印工藝的操作。
茲發明亦包括不使用帶有黏合劑的載體帶的具體實施方法。此時通過刮刀工藝、噴塗工藝、塗抹、壓印或者其他的方式以液態或者固態的形式將黏合劑附著於第二部分燙印箔幅材的末端處,優先選擇的方式是,將第一部分燙印箔幅在幅材的末端處的轉印層剝離,緊接著則將第一部分幅材末端重疊放置于燙印箔幅材的重疊部位並活化黏合劑。由此兩層燙印箔幅材得以黏合固定。其中,第一部分燙印箔幅材除去了顏料層的一面與第二部分燙印箔幅材中附著有黏合劑的一面緊貼並黏合。
在茲發明的再一種等效的具體實施方法中,燙印箔幅材的最外層即為提供黏合劑的黏膠層。第一及第二部分燙印箔幅材的末端處重疊放置,從而使第一部分幅材帶有黏合劑的黏膠層與第二部分幅材轉印層的背面重疊。通過燙印機(平燙機、熱輪滾、滾燙機)將第一部分燙印箔幅材的黏合劑活化,從而讓燙印箔末端在重疊處相互黏合。而第二部分燙印箔的轉印層則成為黏合後燙印箔的真正可用轉印層。
此種方式的優點在於,在燙印箔幅材之上,尤其是第一部分燙印箔之上,反正已經存在膠黏層。由此一來,便不再需要任何額外的原 件,如載體帶等。在外觀上,僅僅可以通過燙印箔末端的重疊部位來辨識出連接部位的存在。
如上所述,在將熱燙印箔或者冷燙印箔黏合固結時,該發明所揭示所有方法的具體實施方式尤其適合。
在上述所有優先選擇的具體實施方法的工藝流程中,在燙印箔的連接操作時,都將顧及兩部分燙印箔中一部分燙印箔的花紋圖案或者標記,以便兩燙印箔的相對應的花紋圖案或者標記位置精準的排佈在一起,並具有較高的套准精度。以此可以保證在連接位置在兩燙印箔之間的圖案花紋和標記具有連續性。在此可以採用一致的技術及工藝來對位元此類圖案花紋及標記,例如通過光學感測器和相機,或者可以通過圖案直接定位技術,如靶標定位系統。
在茲發明中,相關的對燙印箔的加工和使用,如在燙印箔加工機械或者燙印箔製作機械中,可以通過全自動化、半自動化或者手動的方式完成相關操作。為完成本發明闡述的燙印箔的連接,加工燙印箔的相關機械運轉速度會被降低,然而卻要避免機械的完全停機,而使得,儘管在進行燙印箔連接作業,燙印箔的加工作業還可以連續進行。在完成燙印箔連接之後則又可以讓機械加速到額定運轉速度。在其他的操作方式中,也可以在機械停機的狀態或者在機械不減速,即全速運轉狀態下進行本發明相關的幅材連接作業。
此操作可通過一執行上述工藝的設備得以解決。該設備包含一控制裝置,該裝置通過控制元件對燙印箔幅材末端至少一部分燙印箔進行移動、拉伸和/或者切割的操作。此外該設備還包括一獲取圖案花紋及標記位置座標的裝置,根據預先設定,對燙印箔的移動、拉伸和/或者切割操作皆依據獲取的座標位置得以實現。其中可以通過光學手段進行位置座標的獲取。
借助該發明的相關設備可以通過優先的實施方式完成該工藝的具體執行,並保證在燙印箔連接部位良好的套准精度。
該相關裝置可以優先安裝於薄膜開卷裝置中,如在印刷機、層壓機、覆膜機、熱燙印機、冷燙印機的相應位置,此時燙印箔幅材被添加到相關機械中以便進一步加工。一種較有優勢的方式是,在此處進行燙印箔幅材的連接作業,從而盡可能小的影響緊接著的加工過程或者竟可能小的干涉緊接著的加工過程。在薄膜複卷機的轉速控制也是尤其簡單可行,因此可以通過簡單的方式使開卷機減速或者停止,以簡化燙印箔連接的操作,而當連接操作完成以後也可以簡單地對燙印箔進行加速或者啟動。上述轉速控制可以通過本已安裝的電機驅動控制來實現,該電機驅動控制在必要情況下還可以對其他驅動系統或者相應電機的加工模組進行調控,以同步時時變化的加工速率。
同樣,該相關裝置也可以安裝于燙印箔材料的製造機械中,從而讓生產出的燙印箔幅材在長度上匹配特定的要求。比如,獨立的歸屬於不同製造流程的燙印箔幅材可以製成一塊燙印箔幅材,並收卷於同一輪滾之上,如此可以簡化燙印箔幅材的進一步加工。
除此以外,該目標通過提供一種燙印箔幅材而得以實現,一方面,該燙印箔包含一基膜層和一轉印層(尤其包含一金屬箔和/或色料層),並包含至少兩個部分幅材。該兩個相對應的部分幅材末端則通過輸入熱量或者光輻射(紫外線、藍色光、離子射線等)可被活化的黏合劑進行連接。
該種燙印箔幅材可以通過使用該專利揭示的工藝方法流程來獲得。
另一方面,該問題可以通過一種燙印箔幅材的使用得以解決,其中該燙印箔幅材包含一基膜層和一轉印層(尤其包含一金屬箔和/ 或顏料層),並由至少兩部分幅材組合而成,在兩部分幅材的末端處通過一膠帶(尤其是透明膠帶)以固結,該膠帶優先使用包含聚對苯二甲酸乙二酯(PET)的材料,其厚度在5~100μm,優先選擇10~15μm。此處提及的燙印箔幅材尤其可以包含以上所述燙印箔幅材所有之特性。
上述第二方面所述的燙印箔幅材在介於兩層幅材之間的連接部位具有一相對較薄的透明帶。正是由於在此處採用了該發明所揭示的工藝的具體實施方法,才使得上述得以實現。尤其是結合了第一點中的熱熔膠或者輻射硬化黏膠的使用,得以在連接部位提供足夠的抗拉性。
在本篇中所有以1標注的燙印箔幅材需於緊接著以2標注的相同的燙印箔幅材黏合成為一燙印箔幅材組合體。
燙印箔幅材的結構組成,如圖1所示:
位於該燙印箔最上層的為基膜層11,如聚對苯二甲酸乙二酯材料(PET),其厚度在5~500μm。在基膜層11之上的是脫離層12,其作用是使剩餘的塗層13、14、15更容易從基膜層11上脫離。該脫離層可以由石蠟組成。塗層13為保護層,例如可以由丙烯酸清漆或者攙和有丙烯酸清漆的塗料構成,該清漆遇熱乾燥並且/或者遇紫外線固化。緊接著保護層13的是一金屬鍍層14,例如由鋁、鉻或銅構成。最外面一層,亦即最底層15為一黏膠層,若該燙印箔為熱燙印箔時,該黏膠層優先選用熱熔膠。若該燙印箔為冷燙印箔時,該層則為一所謂附著力促進層或者底漆層,並優先有熱敏型黏膠構成,該熱敏膠可與紫外線固化膠(UV膠)共同作用。
在該工藝的第一種具體實施方法中,燙印箔幅材1和2在末端處被重疊放置(圖2a)。在幅材末端重疊處底部放置有一鍍有矽膠的矽膠紙,並且鍍有矽膠的一層位置朝上,以此防止幅材末端處與工作臺底板黏連(圖2b)(此步驟為最優步驟)。
緊接著,幅材的末端被牽引拉伸並固定於工作臺4。此步驟可由真空抽氣法來實現。在工作臺4上預設有微小的穿孔(未在圖中繪示),由此進行抽氣操作,由此使幅材吸附於工作臺上。該幅材亦可以在其縱向兩側的拐角或者邊沿通過夾具,如水準拉杆,進行固定牽引。除此之外還可以通過靜電作用力來實現幅材的牽引和固定。不僅如此,上述的真空抽氣法、夾具法和靜電作用力法還可以結合使用。
在此處的關鍵是,在如圖2b所示的構造中幅材末端被固定,並且在外力作用下(如下文所示),其位置不發生改變或者不發生實質性改變。在緊接著的下一步中(圖2c)通過燙印機(由前文所示以平燙機、熱轉輪燙印或者滾燙機)對上層的幅材2進行燙壓作業。如同一般的燙印作業,會將燙印機加熱並將熱量傳遞給第二部分燙印箔幅材的最上層,以使黏膠層15活化(當幅材為冷燙印箔時,底漆層活化),以使其具備黏合性。從而使第一部分和第二部分燙印箔幅材末端相互黏貼並黏附。
該燙印機在作業時溫度上升到80~140℃,例如在110℃時作業1~2秒。此處的關鍵是,僅僅黏膠層15被活化,而基膜層11並不熔化或者收縮。在燙印機作業之前還可以對燙印部位進行預熱,如通過熱鼓風機或者散熱器,從而使得在很短的作業時間內完成燙印作業。此處通過對上層燙印箔壓印膜的屬性,來實現上層于下層燙印箔的黏合操作。
緊接著進行的是移除矽膠紙3的操作,此時在第一二層幅材之間一具有較好的黏連。此處的抗拉強度尤其是在足夠厚的基膜層11(在12~20μm,例如19μm)和黏膠層足夠黏膠的前提條件下可以得到保證。例如黏膠層15的厚度可以超過5μm(例如8μm)。若以g/m2為單位,此厚度相當於8g/m2
此工藝的第一種具體實施方法具有的優點是,在緊接著的燙印作業時印模不會被污染。
如圖3a所繪示,在該工藝的第二種具體實施方式中,燙印箔幅材1和2的末端在疊加部位重疊放置。緊接著按照上文所述的方式對幅材末端進行拉伸和固定操作。如圖3b所示,通過一裁剪工具,如刀具、刀片、模切輥、剪刀或者衝壓刀具進行裁剪作業。或者通過激光束或者超聲波完成上述作業。同時可以在裁剪作業時在裁剪刀具或者雷射光束處使用預設的切割角,而使其與平面的夾角不等於90°,以使切割處形成一斜切割面。
第一二層幅材末端尤其需要同時進行切割,以使幅材末端緊密連接。剩餘的幅材末端殘餘16和26則被移除,請參考附圖3c。在切面是斜切割面時,兩個斜面相互連鎖。
緊接著,將在此後用作底層幅材使用的燙印箔幅材1上通過噴塗機7噴塗黏合劑8。其他的附著黏膠的工藝有:刮刀塗布機塗覆、直接塗覆、壓印塗覆等塗覆工藝。幅材2的底部塗層可以通過膠帶清除,即剝離(最優方法)。此時可以,如圖3e所繪示,將幅材2的末端處放置於幅材1對應之末端,並通過燙印機5的使用(如圖3f所繪示),使噴塗的黏合劑8活化,從而使得幅材1於幅材2相互黏合。
尤其是,在當燙印箔幅材2末端處的轉印膜被手動清除以後,在幅材連接處部位僅僅具有一金屬鍍層(作為燙印箔幅材轉印層的一部分),從而尤其使得在使用紫外線照射的冷燙印作業更佳容易實施。
在該工藝的第三種具體實施方法中的初始步驟與第二種具體實施方式中的步驟完全相同,附圖4a~4c即對應附圖3a~3c。在此處黏合劑並非以液態形式塗抹到幅材上,而是通過一載體層9並以固態形式實施,如圖4d所繪示。該載體層9包含有一個底板91,在底板的兩面各附著有厚度在1~6μm的黏膠層92和93。黏膠層本身亦可以由保護層覆蓋保護,此保護層在圖4d中已被剝離。該保護層可以由一超薄的矽膠紙層構 成。
如附圖4b所繪示之情況,由於黏膠層93的存在,使得載體層9黏貼在燙印箔幅材1之上,而上層的黏膠層92則是暴露於外界。由圖4e所示,幅材2的末端處可以放置於載體層9之上,如此可以使幅材2的末端處通過上黏膠層92黏連在載體層9繼而黏連在幅材1之上。此工藝的實現以讓通過燙印機5的使用,而對黏膠層92和93裡的黏膠進行活化,請複參考圖4f所示之箭頭標示。
在本發明的第四種具體實施方法為圖4a~4f所示方法的一種變化形式,其初始步驟亦如同圖3a~3f所示。然而此處使用了一載體層9',該載體層包括一底板91,在底板之上設有一下黏膠層93,由此使得載體層9'與幅材1黏合。此時在底板91之上亦在載體層9'與黏膠層93之間設有一矽膠鍍層94。請參照附圖5e所示,幅材2的末端處放置於載體層9'之上。緊接著通過燙印機5作業(圖5f),一方面可以活化黏膠層93上的黏合劑,請參考向下標示的箭頭,與此同時,第二部分燙印箔幅材的轉印層14、15則被燙印到載體層9'的上層,此處請參考向上標示的箭頭。由圖5g可以辨識出,在緊接的步驟中載體層9'可以被移除。此時黏膠層93的黏膠從載體層9'之上脫離,而第二部分燙印箔幅材末端處的轉印層95卻保留在載體層9'的上層。
在載體層9'分離之後可以將燙印箔幅材2的末端放置于燙印箔幅材1的末端位置,如圖5g所示,緊接著通過燙印機5的作業活化黏膠層93(圖5h),如此使得重疊處黏合固結,參照附圖5k。
在此種具體實施方法中可以更大程度的保證,在連接處(黏合部位)部位僅存在一層金屬鍍層,即底部燙印箔幅材1轉印層的金屬鍍層。由此可以在冷燙印作業時,紫外線透過底部幅材1的金屬層並活化紫外線固化膠。而在對底部幅材1熱燙印作業時,可以保證底部幅材1的熱 熔膠不會污染燙印機的燙印版。
在本發明的第五種具體實施方法中,由附圖6a~6c所示初始實施步驟亦如圖3a~3c所繪示。此時在剪切過的燙印箔幅材1、2末端處放置一附著有矽膠的矽膠紙3'。由此可以保證幅材1、2的末端不黏附於底板之上。或者可以,如圖6e所示,參照圖中標示出的箭頭61、62可見,幅材1與2被重新定位,並使其中間間隔的狹縫達到最小,大約小於1毫米。與之前所述所有具體實施方法不同之處在於,在該第五種具體實施方法中並不存在在兩燙印箔幅材末端之間的重疊部位,而是兩燙印箔幅材末端相互接觸,即緊挨在一起。
如附圖6f所示,此時熱熔膠膠帶63被放置於介面即接觸位置之上。
該熱熔膠膠帶包括了一PET聚酯載體64和一黏膠層65。該PET聚酯載體64呈透明狀,其厚度在5~20μm之間,例如12μm。黏膠層65包括一厚度約3μm(2.5~3.5μm)的熱敏黏合劑。由此該熱熔膠膠帶的中厚度約15μm。緊接著通過燙印機的作業(圖6g)使黏膠層65活化。由此確保熱熔膠膠帶63牢固的黏合幅材1和2。在剝離矽膠紙3'之後可獲得一通過熱熔膠膠帶63而形成的黏合幅材1和2的連接機構。而熱熔膠膠帶則成為整個幅材連接機構的組成成分。
通過避免一幅材重疊部位可以更大程度的使在連接處(黏合部位)的燙印作業成為可能。此尤其適用于冷燙印作業。由於熱熔膠膠帶63極其小的厚度,以及在幅材1和2沒有重疊的情況下通過定位使得連接部位緊挨連接,如此一來,該黏合部位在燙印完成後的幅材之上難以被察覺並不會影響視覺美觀。
在本發明的第六種具體實施方法中,其初始步驟與前文所述的第五種具體實施方法相同,然而此處在底板捨去了矽膠紙3'。如圖7d 所繪示,在沒有矽膠紙的情況下已經完成了對幅材的重新定位,請參照幅材1和2被剪切之後圖中所繪示的箭頭標記71和72。
如附圖7e所示,在此處亦在交接處放有黏膠膠帶63',此處的黏膠膠帶亦包含同黏膠膠帶63一樣的PET聚酯載體64,然而此處的黏合劑為紫外線固化膠65'
相較於之前所用的燙印機,如圖中箭頭標示73所示,在此處步驟7f所使用的為紫外線輻射的照射。如此生成一在幅材1和2之間的連線性的固結機構,參照附圖7g。
在所有提及的工藝實施方法中,皆可以通過適當的位置座標捕捉裝置,如相機等光學位置捕捉裝置來確保幅材1和2相互之間精準的連接。從而使得在幅材1和2上的花紋圖案在通過黏合部位時依然保有一定程度的連續性。
在此處既可以通過對在幅材之上的圖案花紋進行直接捕捉,如通過光學位置捕捉裝置等。並通過合適的重疊部位,而在第二~第六種實施方法中尤其是對切割部位的設定,來確保剩餘的幅材1和2精準的排列。此處的精準指的是,相關的圖案區域相互之間等距離排佈,該等距離排佈亦包括黏合部位以外的區域。
除了對幅材上圖案的直接捕捉定位之外,還可以通過安放標靶來實現,此處所涉及的標靶為特意設定的標記,用於說明在對加工步驟中對幅材進行定位,而在此也被採用以連接兩幅材1和2。
標靶亦可以由衝壓穿孔的形式存在,而在此衝壓穿孔可以通過機械裝置或者通過光學儀器捕捉。
在本發明相應裝置中,該捕捉裝置可傳輸測量信號給控制裝置,而該控制裝置可對其他裝置或者其他元件進行自動控制,而使幅材1和2在黏合操作之後能夠相互精準排列。例如此處裝置可為平移幅材末端 的裝置,而該平移操作受控於裝置所捕獲的幅材的位置資訊。同樣還可以替代性地或者額外增加對幅材的牽引機構而對幅材末端處進行適當的牽引操作。最終幅材末端還可以通過切割裝置,並依據所獲得的測量資料值,對幅材末端進行切割作業,從而使幅材之上的圖案花紋精準的依次排列。
除第六種具體實施方法之外,所有本發明中的黏合作業皆可以通過熱熔膠完成。
在該熱熔膠的組成成分上可以有各種不同的實施方案(Fp:閃點;Tg:玻璃轉化溫度):

所有上述工藝的具體實施方法的共同特點是:幅材其轉印層在幅材形成連接之後即使在黏合部位也沒有或者只是微不足道的受到損壞,因此即使在黏合部位也可以進行燙印作業。

Claims (17)

  1. 一種連接第一部分燙印箔幅材(1)與第二部分燙印箔幅材(2)的方法,其中兩燙印箔幅材為一熱轉印箔並且包含一載體箔(11)和一轉印層,該轉印層包括一金屬鍍層並且/或者一顏料層(14),其特徵在於:連接通過黏著劑(15、8、92、93、65、65')完成,該黏著劑在基本狀態及室溫下處於未被活化狀態,而通過熱量或者輻射的輸入可被活化。
  2. 如申請專利範圍第1項中所述之連接第一部分燙印箔幅材(1)與第二部分燙印箔幅材(2)之方法,其中,該黏著劑另外通過一帶狀載體(9、9'、63、63')進行提供。
  3. 如申請專利範圍第2項中所述之連接第一部分燙印箔幅材(1)與第二部分燙印箔幅材(2)之方法,其中,該帶狀載體呈透明狀,並由包含PET的材料組成。
  4. 如申請專利範圍第2或3項中所述之連接第一部分燙印箔幅材(1)與第二部分燙印箔幅材(2)之方法,其中,該帶狀載體之厚度在5~100μm之間。
  5. 如申請專利範圍第2項中所述之連接第一部分燙印箔幅材(1)與第二部分燙印箔幅材(2)之方法,其中兩燙印箔幅材在放置帶狀載體(63、63')之前先被切割和定位,使其緊貼相連,而該帶狀載體(63、63')則被放置於幅材(1、2)緊貼相連的連接處,緊接著,黏合劑(65、65')被活化,使得帶狀載體(63、63')與兩燙印箔幅材(1、2)黏合。
  6. 如申請專利範圍第5項中所述之連接第一部分燙印箔幅材(1)與第二部分燙印箔幅材(2)之方法,其中該兩燙印箔幅材(1、2)被重疊放置,並且在重疊部位進行切割作業,該作業尤其可以通過一刀具、刀片、切割滾、剪刀、衝壓刀具或者通過雷射以及超音波來完成,而通過切割作業後形成的幅材末端殘餘(16、26)將被移除。
  7. 如申請專利範圍第5項中所述之連接第一部分燙印箔幅材(1)與第二部分燙印箔幅材(2)之方法,其中,一鍍有矽膠的葉狀塊件(3'),尤其是一鍍有矽膠的矽膠紙(3'),在完成切割作業之後、在定位作業之前將該矽膠紙放置於幅材末端底部。
  8. 如申請專利範圍第2項中所述之連接第一部分燙印箔幅材(1)與第二部分燙印箔幅材(2)之方法,其中,帶狀載體(9')的正反面皆塗有黏合劑(92、93),而在燙印箔幅材的末端重疊放置,且該帶狀載體(9')則被放置於燙印箔幅材重疊部位之間,緊接著黏合劑被活化,使帶狀載體(9)與其兩側的燙印箔幅材末端黏合。
  9. 如申請專利範圍第2項中所述之連接第一部分燙印箔幅材(1)與第二部分燙印箔幅材(2)之方法,其中燙印箔幅材末端重疊放置,且帶狀載體(9')安插於兩幅材末端之間的重疊部位,並且通過燙印機(5)的作業使得第一部分燙印箔幅材轉印層(14)轉移到帶狀載體之上(9'),而黏合劑(93)從帶狀載體(9')上脫離並轉移至第二部分燙印箔幅材(1)之上,而緊接著,該帶狀載體(9')被從幅材之中抽離,並通過燙印機(5)的再次使用或輻射的運用,使燙印箔幅材末端在疊加部位相互黏合。
  10. 如申請專利範圍第1項中所述之連接第一部分燙印箔幅材(1)與第二部分燙印箔幅材(2)之方法,其中,黏合劑(8)通過刮刀工藝、噴塗工藝、塗抹、壓印或者其他的方式將黏合劑以液態或者固態的形式將黏合劑附著於第二部分燙印箔幅材(1)的末端處,從而使得第一部分燙印箔幅材(2)末端于第二部分燙印箔幅材(1)末端重疊放置,並使黏合劑活化,從而使得燙印箔幅材末端在重疊部位相互黏合。
  11. 如申請專利範圍第1項中所述之連接第一部分燙印箔幅材(1)與第二部分燙印箔幅材(2)之方法,其中,該黏合劑提供第一部分燙印箔幅 材(2)的最外層(15),而第一部分(2)於第二部分燙印箔幅材(1)的末端處重疊放置,從而使帶有黏合劑(15)的塗層於第二部分幅材(1)相對應,並通過燙印機(5)的作業使得黏合劑(15)活化,使幅材末端在連接部位相互黏合。
  12. 如申請專利範圍第1項所述之連接第一部分燙印箔幅材(1)與第二部分燙印箔幅材(2)之方法,其中對黏合劑的活化通過線性運動的上下平升降式平燙機,或者旋轉運轉的熱輥滾燙機,或者一結合線性運轉與旋轉運轉的壓輥滾動式燙印機完成。
  13. 如申請專利範圍第12項中所述之連接第一部分燙印箔幅材(1)與第二部分燙印箔幅材(2)之方法,其中,在黏合劑活化之前,該燙印機與/或者燙印箔幅材上預設給燙印機的燙印部位事先通過熱鼓風機或者散熱器進行預熱作業。
  14. 如申請專利範圍第1項所述之連接第一部分燙印箔幅材(1)與第二部分燙印箔幅材(2)之方法,其中,該燙印箔幅材(1、2)提供一熱燙印箔或者一冷燙印箔。
  15. 如申請專利範圍第1項所述之連接第一部分燙印箔幅材(1)與第二部分燙印箔幅材(2)之方法,其中,在幅材連接中,至少分別顧及在兩燙印箔幅材上一個圖案花紋或者標記,以使得各自的圖案花紋或者標記精準的排佈。
  16. 一種燙印箔幅材,其包括一中間載體箔(11)與一由金屬鍍層和/或者顏料層(14)構成的轉移層,而該燙印箔幅材至少由兩個部分燙印箔幅材(1、2)構成,且各該部分燙印箔幅材(1、2)均為一熱轉印箔,該至少兩個部分燙印箔幅材通過連接機構並通過熱量或者通過輻射的輸入而使其黏合劑(15、8、92、93、65、65')活化,從而使分燙印箔幅材牢固黏合。
  17. 一種由申請專利範圍第16項所述之燙印箔幅材,其包括一中間載體箔(11)和一由金屬鍍層和/或者顏料層(14)構成的轉移層,而該燙印箔幅材至少由兩個部分燙印箔幅材(1、2)構成,其中燙印箔幅材在末端處尤其通過一透明膠帶(63')來連接固定,該透明膠帶首選由包含聚乙烯的材料,其厚度在8~20μm。
