Description

Printing method

The present invention relates to a printing method in which an ink is coated on a tape to form an ink-coated surface, and the relief is pressed against the ink-coated surface to remove the ink contacting the portion of the relief, and then remains on the adhesive tape. The ink is transferred onto the object to be printed (in the present specification, the printing method is also a letterpress reverse printing method).

In the conventional printing method, the ink is attached to a printing plate made of a lithographic plate, a gravure, a relief, or the like, and an ink layer is formed on the line portion, and the ink layer is transferred to form a printed image.

Therefore, the quality of the printed image is determined by whether or not the ink is adhered only to the line portion, and in any case, whether or not the transfer rate of the ink to the object to be printed can be increased.

On the other hand, in the letterpress reverse printing method (see Patent Document 1) developed in recent years, as shown in Fig. 6, the tape 22 attached to the surface of the cylinder 21 is uniformly coated from the ink application device 23. The ink application surface 1 is formed by ink, and the relief 24 is pressed against the ink application surface 1 to remove the ink 2 contacting the portion of the relief 24 from the adhesive tape 22, and then the ink 3 remaining on the adhesive tape 22 is transferred to the ink. It is printed on the body 4.

According to this letterpress reverse printing method, the ink 2 of the non-line portion is transferred from the tape 22 to the relief 24 by using a tape 22 having a high mold release property such as ruthenium rubber, and the ink of the line portion 3 is When the tape 22 is transferred to the to-be-printed body 4, a transfer rate of 100% or close thereto can be obtained, so that a printed image can be formed on the to-be-printed body 4, and the printed image has the convex portion 25 of the relief plate 24. The pattern correctly reverses the image pattern.

Further, as a printing method in which a printing plate is not used, an ink jet method is known. Patent Document 2 discloses a plateless transfer printing method in which an image is formed on a transfer body composed of a ruthenium rubber or a material having a certain releasability using an inkjet, and the ink on the transfer body is further used. Transfer to the printed object to obtain the image of the purpose.

[Patent Document 1] Japanese Patent No. 3689536 (Patent Document 2) Japanese Laid-Open Patent Publication No. 2004-42584

However, in the case where the area of the line portion is small with respect to the non-line portion, according to the letterpress reverse printing method, it is necessary to remove most of the ink applied to the object to be printed by the relief, and to use it for turning. The amount printed and printed on the printed object is only a small part. In the case where the composition changes due to evaporation of the ink component, the sinking of the component, or solidification, etc., the reuse of the ink removed by the relief is difficult, so that it is necessary to use much more than the amount transferred to the printed body. The amount of ink, which in turn causes an increase in the cost of the ink, and an increase in the environmental burden caused by disposal.

In the case where an inkjet device is used as described in Patent Document 2, since the inkjet image is formed by the collection of the droplets, the droplet diameter is not negligible as compared with the size of the line portion. The edge of the image becomes a wavy shape depending on the outer shape of the droplet, and a fine and clear image cannot be obtained.

The present invention has been made in view of the above circumstances, and an object of the invention is to provide a printing method which can reduce the waste of ink usage and achieve cost reduction, and can form a high-definition image.

In order to solve the above problems, the present invention provides a printing method comprising: an ink coating step of coating an ink onto a tape to form an ink application surface; and pressing the relief onto the ink application surface to contact an ink contacting the portion of the relief. An image forming step of removing the adhesive tape and a transfer step of transferring the ink remaining on the adhesive tape onto the printed object, wherein the ink coated surface is formed on the adhesive tape by an inkjet method. It is in a region formed by a portion corresponding to the image pattern formed on the object to be printed and its vicinity.

According to the present invention, the amount of ink removed from the tape by the relief can be reduced, and waste of the amount of ink used can be eliminated to achieve cost reduction. Since the shape of the edge of the ink on the tape (the boundary portion between the image portion and the non-image portion) can be finished by the relief, a high-definition image can be formed.

Hereinafter, the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings in accordance with the preferred embodiments. 1a to 1c are explanatory views illustrating the steps of the first embodiment of the printing method of the present invention, and FIGS. 2a to 2c are explanatory views illustrating the respective steps of the second embodiment of the printing method of the present invention. Further, each of the drawings of the present specification is a step diagram for mode display for explaining the printing procedure, and the proportional relationship of the dimensions and the like does not particularly reflect the actual form.

15。As shown in Fig. 1, the apparatus used in the first embodiment of the printing method of the present invention is the same as the apparatus used in the conventional letterpress reverse printing method, and must be provided with a tape 12 attached to the surface of the cylinder 11, The ink application device 13 for applying the ink to the adhesive tape 12 and the relief plate 14 having the convex portion 15 on the pattern in which the image pattern formed on the object to be printed 4 is reversed is formed. The relief 14 having a pattern in which the target image pattern is reversed has a concave portion 16 corresponding to a line portion forming a printed image on the object 4, and a region other than the line portion (ie, a non-line) The portion has a convex portion 15.

In the present invention, an ink jet type apparatus is used as the ink application apparatus 13. Further, the tape 12 is preferably a material having a certain mold release property such as ruthenium rubber.

The ink used in the present invention is required to be suitable for a letterpress reverse printing method, and can be suitably applied to a tape by ejecting it by an inkjet. The above-mentioned suitable ones are not particularly limited, and examples thereof include an ink mainly composed of a resin (polymer), a solvent, and the like, and various components are arbitrarily added. For example, in the case of a black ink or a colored ink, a color material such as a dye or a pigment is blended, and in the case of a conductive ink, a conductive material such as a metal powder is blended. For the ink used in the present invention, various additives may be added as needed. The green ink is exemplified by a color index (CI) No. 36 as a pigment, a melamine resin, or a fluorine-based surfactant, and an Isopropyl Acetate as a quick-drying solvent, as a late drying property. Diethylene Glycol Monoethyl Ether Acetate and Propylene Glycol Monomethyl An ink composed of a mixed solvent of Propylene Glycol Monomethyl Ether Acetate and other auxiliary agents. Further, the mass ratio of the quick-drying solvent to the late-drying solvent is preferably from 1:18 to 22, particularly preferably 1:20.

The printed body is not particularly limited, and examples thereof include plastic, paper, glass, ceramics, and metal.

(Ink coating step)

1。In order to carry out the printing method of the present invention, first, as shown in Fig. 1a, an ink is applied onto the tape 12 to form an ink-coated surface 1. In the present invention, the ink-coated surface 1 on the adhesive tape 12 is formed only by the portion corresponding to the image pattern (line portion) formed on the object to be printed 4 and its vicinity by the ink-jet method. For example, in the case where a linear pattern is to be formed, the ink-coated surface 1 can be formed with a line width slightly larger than the line width of the intended pattern.

In the conventional letterpress reverse printing method, since the ink 2 corresponding to the portion of the non-line portion is removed by the relief even if it is applied to the tape 12, waste of the ink is caused. On the other hand, in the present invention, the portion 5 to which the ink is not applied is provided in the region corresponding to the non-line portion, and the amount of the ink 2 removed by the relief 14 can be reduced. Thereby, waste of the amount of ink used can be eliminated, and cost reduction can be achieved.

Next, as shown in Fig. 1b, the relief 14 is pressed against the ink application surface 1 to remove the ink 2 contacting the portion of the relief 14 from the adhesive tape 12. In this step, although the ink 2 of the non-image portion is transferred to the relief 14 and removed, in the ink application step, the ink application surface 1 is formed only on the portion corresponding to the image pattern formed on the object 4 to be printed, The area formed in the vicinity thereof is such that the ink transferred to the relief 14 is only in the vicinity of the image pattern.

Thereby, waste of the amount of ink used can be eliminated. Further, the ink 2 of the non-image portion is removed from the ink application surface 1 of the adhesive tape 12 by the relief 14, and the edge of the ink 3 (the boundary portion between the image portion and the non-image portion) which is formed on the adhesive tape 12 to form the image portion can be arranged. Therefore, even if the edge of the ink-coated surface 1 formed by the ink-jet is formed into a wavy shape according to the outer peripheral shape of the droplet, it does not cause a problem in printing accuracy, and can be formed finely. Clear image.

Next, as shown in Fig. 1c, the ink 3 remaining on the tape 12 is transferred onto the object 4 to be printed. In this step, the same as the conventional letterpress reverse printing method, since the ink 3 remains on the tape 12 only in the line portion, the image having the desired line portion can be formed on the object 4 to be printed. .

The ink 3 remaining on the tape 12 is dried by a part of the solvent before the transfer, so that the pattern of the ink is not easily collapsed at the time of transfer, and the pattern reproducibility of the printing plate can be made good.

As a modification of the printing method of the present invention, FIG. 2 shows an example in which the concave portion 17 is included in the non-line portion as the relief 14. That is, according to the present invention, in the image forming step, since it is not necessary to bring the convex portion 15 of the relief 14 into contact with the uncoated ink portion 5 of the adhesive tape 12, as shown in Fig. 2b, on the relief 14, even if When a part or all of the portion of the portion of the adhesive tape 12 on which the ink is not applied is used as the concave portion 17, no obstacle is formed in the formation of the image.

Method of forming an image of the plurality of different image patterns from a relief sheet>

Further, in the present invention, an image of a plurality of different image patterns (two or more types) may be formed by one relief. Therefore, a one-piece relief formed by using a plurality of different image patterns as recesses is used.

First, any one of the plurality of different image patterns formed as a concave portion on one of the relief plates is arbitrarily selected, and in the ink application step, the application position of the ink application device is controlled, corresponding to the selected image. The portion of the pattern and the area formed in the vicinity thereof form an ink-coated surface on the tape. In the image forming step, a piece of relief formed by using a plurality of different image patterns as concave portions is pressed against the ink coating surface, and the ink contacting the portion of the relief is removed from the adhesive tape to form a selected one. An image of an image pattern. Then, by transferring the ink remaining on the tape onto the object to be printed, an arbitrarily selected image pattern can be printed.

In order to use a plurality of different image patterns formed as recesses on a relief (not necessarily using all of the image patterns that can be formed on the relief), each image pattern is selected in any order, in each selected image pattern The printing is carried out by the steps of ink coating, image formation and transfer. In such a sequence of printing, the tape may be used in a plurality of different types of tape, or the same tape may be used in plural times. Thereby, an image of a plurality of different image patterns can be formed by one relief. Therefore, the cost of producing the relief can be reduced, and the step of cleaning the relief at each printing can be reduced, and the overall size of the printing apparatus can be reduced and the installation space of the printing apparatus can be reduced.

For example, Fig. 3 shows a case where a plurality of different image patterns have different parallel thin line patterns. In the drawings 3b and 3e, the relief 14 in which the concave portion 16 is formed by the pitch a can be regarded as a parallel thin line pattern including a pitch a, a parallel thin line pattern having a pitch 2a, a parallel thin line pattern at a pitch 3a, a parallel thin line pattern at a pitch 4a, and the like. A plurality of patterns. That is, the relief 14 is an image of a parallel thin line pattern of a plurality of pitches at intervals of a, 2a, 3a, 4a, .

Referring to Fig. 3, a method of printing a parallel thin line pattern of the pitch a and a parallel thin line pattern of the pitch 2a using the relief 14 in which the concave portion 16 is formed by the pitch a will be specifically exemplified.

In order to print the parallel thin line pattern of the pitch a, in the ink application step, as shown in Fig. 3a, the ink application surface 1 is formed at a pitch a in a region composed of the line width of the parallel thin line pattern and its vicinity. In the image coating step, as shown in Fig. 3b, the ink-coated surface 1 coated on the tape 12 at a pitch a is brought into contact with the convex portion 15 of the relief 14, thereby removing the vicinity of the line width from the tape 12. Excess ink 2. Thereby, an image of a parallel thin line pattern of the pitch a is formed on the blanket 12. In the transfer step, as shown in Fig. 3c, the ink 3 remaining on the tape 12 is transferred onto the object 4 to be printed. Thereby, the parallel thin line pattern of the pitch a is printed on the to-be-printed body 4.

Further, in order to print the parallel thin line pattern of the pitch 2a, in the ink application step, as shown in Fig. 3d, the ink application surface 1 is formed at a pitch 2a in a region composed of a line width portion of the parallel thin line pattern and its vicinity. In the image coating step, as shown in Fig. 3e, the ink-coated surface 1 coated on the tape 12 at the pitch 2a is brought into contact with the convex portion 15 of the relief 14, thereby removing the vicinity of the line width from the tape 12. Excess ink 2. Thereby, an image of a parallel thin line pattern of the pitch 2a is formed on the tape 12. In the transfer step, as shown in Fig. 3f, the ink 3 remaining on the tape 12 is transferred onto the object 4A to be printed. Thereby, the parallel thin line pattern of the pitch 2a is printed on the to-be-printed body 4A.

Similarly, the printing of the parallel thin line patterns of the pitches 3a, 4a, ... can also be easily carried out by controlling the ink coating pitch of the ink jet method. Further, in Fig. 3, the object 4 to be printed on which the parallel thin line pattern of the pitch a is printed and the object to be printed 4A on which the parallel thin line pattern of the pitch 2a is printed are distinguished by a change of symbols for convenience of explanation. In the present invention, the present invention is not limited to the case where a plurality of different image patterns are printed on a plurality of different printed objects, and may be applied to a case where a plurality of different image patterns are printed on one printed object.

In a method of forming an image of a plurality of different image patterns from a relief, a plurality of image patterns may exist at any place on the relief. For example, as in the example shown in FIG. 3, in the case of forming a plurality of parallel thin line patterns of different pitches, a relief having a concave portion is formed by using a distance between the greatest common divisors of the distance between the parallel thin line patterns (that is, to become parallel thin lines). When the number of pieces per unit length of the smallest common multiple of the number of strips per unit length of the pattern is to form a relief of the concave portion, the distance between the parallel thin line patterns becomes a multiple of the pitch of the concave portion of the relief, and the image can be formed by one relief.

In other examples, there is a rectangular pattern and a triangular pattern in a relief, and sometimes only a rectangular portion may be used, and sometimes only a triangular portion may be used, or sometimes a rectangular portion and a triangle may be used at the same time. Part of both sides.

Further, in the case where an image of a plurality of different image patterns is formed by one relief, a method of printing a plurality of image patterns on one printed object as described below may be applied. For example, in a relief, there is a rectangular pattern and a triangular pattern. When both the rectangular portion and the triangular portion are used for printing, a red ink can be used on the rectangular pattern, and a blue ink can be used on the triangular pattern. And the two-color printing. In another case, in the case of forming a parallel thin line pattern, the color of each thin line can be changed according to a desired combination. For example, it is also possible to form a pattern in which red thin lines and blue thin lines are alternately staggered.

Method of printing a plurality of image patterns on one printed object>

Further, in the present invention, the ink-coated surface on the tape is formed in an area formed by a portion corresponding to the image pattern formed on the object to be printed and the vicinity thereof by the ink-jet method, and therefore, a tape is formed. A plurality of ink-coated surfaces are formed on the plurality of ink-coated surfaces, and the plurality of ink-coated surfaces are transferred onto the object to be printed from the one tape. Since a plurality of (two or more) image patterns are printed on one object to be printed by each ink, a tape on which a plurality of ink heads are mounted can be used. In this case, a method of mounting a plurality of ink heads on one tape includes a method of attaching one ink coating device having a plurality of ink heads, and mounting two or more ink heads having one or two or more ink heads. The ink application device (the ink heads of the respective ink application devices may be the same number or different numbers) to configure the desired ink head.

Each of the inks applied by the respective ink heads can be printed by a plurality of types of inks by using a different type of ink to achieve printing of a plurality of types of inks.

For example, Fig. 4 shows that red (R), green (G), and blue (B) of the color filter are formed on the printed object formed on the printed surface in the black matrix BM (the lattice black line pattern). An example of a method of three-color patterns. According to this method, the pattern for the color filter of three colors can be formed at a time, and the step shortening and the productivity can be improved.

In the ink application step, as shown in FIG. 4a, an ink head 13R coated with a red ink, an ink head 13G coated with a green ink, and a blanket 12 coated with an ink head 13B of a blue ink are used, corresponding to each image. The ink-coated surface 1R, 1G, 1B is formed at a different position of a blanket 12 from the respective ink heads 13R, 13G, 13B in the portion of the pattern and the region formed in the vicinity thereof.

3R,3G,3B。In the image forming step, as shown in FIG. 4b, a concave portion 16R corresponding to the red image pattern, a concave portion 16G corresponding to the green image pattern, a concave portion 16B corresponding to the blue image pattern, and the like are formed. The relief plate 14 of the convex portion 15 between the recesses 16R, 16G, 16B, and by contacting the three-color ink-coated surface 1R, 1G, 1B coated on the adhesive tape 12 with the convex portion 15 of the relief plate 14 from the adhesive tape The excess ink 2R, 2G, 2B between the image patterns is removed on the 12th. Thereby, three-color image patterns 3R, 3G, 3B are formed on one tape 12.

In the transfer step, as shown in Fig. 4c, the inks 3R, 3G, 3B remaining on the tape 12 are transferred onto the object 4 to be printed. Thereby, the three-color image pattern is transferred onto the to-be-printed body 4. In the example of Fig. 4c, the black matrix BM is formed in advance at the boundary portion of the three-color image pattern, and the three-color inks 3R, 3G, and 3B on the blanket 12 are transferred to the portion including the black matrix BM. On the printed body 4. A method of forming the black matrix BM on the object to be printed 4 includes, for example, a letterpress reverse printing method of the present invention and a conventional letterpress reverse printing method.

3R,3G,3B。As described above, with reference to FIG. 4, a printing method is specifically exemplified by a method of printing a plurality of image patterns 3R, 3G, and 3B by ink of respective colors on a to-be-printed body 4, in order to apply the inks of the respective colors, One of the ink portions 12 of the ink heads 13R, 13G, and 13B to which the plurality of ink heads 13R, 13G, and 13B have been mounted is used to coat the respective ink-coated surfaces from the respective ink heads 13R, 13G, and 13B in a region composed of a portion corresponding to each image pattern and its vicinity. After 1R, 1G, and 1B are formed at different positions of one of the adhesive tapes 12, a plurality of image patterns are formed as recesses 16R, 16G, and 16B to form a single relief 14 which is pressed against each of the ink-coated surfaces 1R, 1G, and 1B. The ink 2R, 2G, 2B which is in contact with the portion of the relief 14 is removed from the tape 12, whereby a plurality of image patterns 3R, 3G, 3B are formed on a single tape 14 by a relief 14 at a time.

In the fourth drawing, a case where the coating pattern of the three-color R, G, and B inks applied to the tape 12 is a parallel linear pattern in the longitudinal direction of the cylindrical cylinder 11 is taken as an example. This is merely an example. In other examples, the pattern is applied to the circumferential direction of the cylinder 11 in an annular shape (see FIG. 5a), or two-dimensionally arranged in the longitudinal direction and the circumferential direction of the cylinder 11. A mosaic-like application pattern of the rectangular ink application portion (see FIG. 5b) may be formed by using a relief corresponding to each application pattern, and the pattern of the color filter is formed by the method shown in FIGS. 4a to 4c. Printed on the body.

Further, the relief formed for the images of the plurality of image patterns 3R, 3G, and 3B is not limited to one sheet, and two or more relief plates may be used in combination. For example, a plurality of reliefs having recesses corresponding to the respective image patterns 3R, 3G, and 3B are used, and each of the reliefs is pressed against the ink-coated surfaces 1R, 1G, and 1B to remove the portion contacting the relief from the adhesive tape 12. The ink can form a plurality of image patterns 3R, 3G, 3B images on a blanket 12.

For example, as a group of reliefs forming the three-color image patterns 3R, 3G, and 3B, the following groups can be exemplified. In the case where the number of types of image patterns is different, it is also possible to prepare a suitable number of reliefs by imitating the example.

(1) A red relief plate formed by using the red image pattern 3R as the concave portion 16R, a green relief plate formed by using the green image pattern 3G as the concave portion 16G, and a blue formed by the blue image pattern 3B as the concave portion 16B a set of three reliefs of a relief plate; (2) a red-green relief formed by using the red image pattern 3R and the green image pattern 3G as the recesses 16R, 16G, and a blue image pattern 3B as a recess 16B is formed by a group of two reliefs of a relief plate; (3) a red and blue relief plate formed by using the red image pattern 3R and the blue image pattern 3B as the recesses 16R, 16B, and green The image pattern 3G is a group of two reliefs of a green relief formed by the recess 16G; (4) a red relief formed by using the red image pattern 3R as the recess 16R, and a green image pattern 3G and blue The color image pattern 3B is a group of green and blue relief plates formed by the concave portions 16G and 16B.

The convex portion from which the excess ink is removed in each of the reliefs is required to be formed at a position including the vicinity of the image pattern formed by the relief and not including the image of all the image patterns formed on one of the adhesive portions.

For example, when the red image pattern 3R is used as the recessed portion 16R to form a red relief (green and blue do not form an image), the convex portion 15 needs to include a position near the red image pattern 3R, and one side The red image pattern 3R remains on the tape 12, and the excess red ink 2R is removed while being in contact with the green and blue image patterns 3B, 3G. However, the convex portion 15 of the red relief plate includes the green and blue image patterns 3G and 3B in the vicinity of the position, and the contact between the inks 2G and 2B which are removed by contact with the green and blue colors is not hindered.

As described above, according to the printing method of the present invention, the amount of ink removed from the relief 12 by the relief 14 can be reduced, and the amount of ink used can be saved, and the cost can be reduced. Further, since the shape of the edge (the boundary portion between the image portion and the non-image portion) of the ink on the tape 12 can be finished by the relief 14, a high-definition image can be formed.

In addition, by forming a plurality of different image patterns with one relief, the number of editions can be reduced, and a variety of image patterns can be produced by a single tape and a plate unit, thereby realizing miniaturization of the printing device and printing device. Set space reduction, etc.

In addition, by applying a plurality of ink types on one tape at a time, the number of sheets and the number of tapes can be reduced, and the multi-color printing can be performed once by one unit of the tape and the plate, thereby realizing miniaturization of the printing device and printing device. The reduction of the setting space, etc.
