Description

光纖連接器
本發明係關於一種光纖連接器,尤其指一種具有透鏡之光纖連接器。
現有光纖連接器一般包括塑膠本體、與塑膠體一體成型的透鏡及固定於本體內的光纖,透鏡位於塑膠本體前端,而光纖自塑膠本體的後端***塑膠本體內的細長孔以鄰近且對準上述透鏡,如此可完成光信號的傳輸,美國專利第4,534,616號及第6,736,550號均揭示了這樣的光纖連接器。惟,在目前大量生產及成本不斷降低之現實情況下,研發人員針對該等光纖連接器不斷研究,希望在現有的技術及產品上做出更節省成本的結構設計。
本發明的目的在於提供一種降低成本的光纖連接器。
為了實現上述目的,本創作採用的一種技術方案:一種光纖連接器,其包括透鏡、本體及光纖,透鏡之前端具有弧形前端面的光穿透部,本體係組裝於透鏡的後端面,該本體具有與光穿透部對齊的細長孔,光纖係收容於該細長孔內中。
相較先前技術,本創作之分開成型的本體可採用低價格材料製成 ,可節省光纖連接器的成本。

第五圖係第二實施例的光纖連接器的立體圖;第六圖係第二實施例的光纖連接器另一角度的立體圖,其中扣持臂向內變形。
下面結合圖面詳細描述本發明。
本發明揭示了兩個實施例。第一圖至第四圖顯示了第一實施例之光纖連接器100,第五圖至第六圖顯示了第二實施例之光纖連接器200。
參閱第一圖至第四圖所示,光纖連接器100包括組裝於一起的透鏡1及基部2。透鏡1係由高導光材料製成(價格較貴),其前端面設有向前突出的兩對成圓弧突面的光穿透部10,在光穿透部10的兩外側則分別向前突設有導引柱11,該導引柱11較光穿透部10向前突伸。透鏡1的後端面101呈平面狀,在大致對應導引柱11的位置,該後端面101向後延伸出圓柱定位柱12,兩定位柱之間設有細孔13。本體2係由價格較便宜的LPC等塑膠材料一體成型,其前 端面201係平面,用以跟透鏡1的後端面101相互抵接。本體2設有自前端面201向後凹陷的兩定位口22,該定位口22係貫穿本體的上下表面及前端面201,具有左右相對的內側面221、222,內側面221位於相對內側且為垂直面,另一內側面222位於外側且由兩相交的平面組成,透鏡1的定位柱12***該定位口22而將透鏡1及本體2組合於一起,兩者固定的方式可以為膠合、干涉或其他方式;當然,也可將定位柱12設置在本體2上而將定位口相對的設置在透鏡的後端面101上。分開成型的本體與透鏡也有助於對透鏡製造公差的控制。兩定位口22的內側設有向後貫穿的細長孔21,該等細長孔與透鏡的細孔13及光穿透部10對齊,用以收容光纖6(第一、二圖中僅顯示一根,本實施例具有4根光纖),來完成光信號的傳輸。本體2設有分別貫穿上下表面的通孔23a、23b,該等通孔係在利用模仁對靠方法行成細長孔21時供模仁的退出。
本體2的兩側設有兩扣持臂24,該兩扣持臂前端連接於本體2,後端則與本體2間隔一定距離,扣持臂24的外側面240設有兩向外突出的扣持部241、242,第一扣持部241具有向後的扣持面,第二扣持部242具有向前的扣持面且與第一扣持部241的扣持面間隔一定距離。本體的後端面的中間向後延伸有一柱狀部。
請參閱第五圖及第六圖,光纖連接器200之透鏡31與本體32係一體成型,當然該連接器亦可參照第一實施例的結構由兩部分形成(於此不再贅述)。該光纖連接器200的本體32兩側設有向後延伸且超出本體後端面321的扣持臂4,扣持臂4的外側面41設有向外突出的兩扣持部42、43,第一扣持部42位於前端,且具有面朝前 的導引面422及與導引面成一定角度且面朝後的扣持面421;第二扣持部具有面朝前的扣持面431,第二扣持部的扣持面431與側面41的角度Q小於90度。該光纖連接器係組裝於外部連接器(未圖示)中,該扣持臂用於將光纖連接器鎖扣在外部連接器中,小於90度的第二扣持面有助於光纖連接器拔出時較不容易鬆脫。
綜上所述,本創作確已符合發明專利之要件,爰依法提出申請專利。惟,以上所述者僅係本發明之較佳實施方式,本發明之範圍並不以上述實施方式為限,舉凡熟習本案技藝之人士援依本發明之精神所作之等效修飾或變化,皆應涵蓋於以下申請專利範圍內。

Claims (8)

  1. 一種光纖連接器,其包括:透鏡,其前端具有弧形前端面的光穿透部;本體,係組裝於該透鏡的後端面,該本體具有與光穿透部對齊的細長孔;及光纖,係收容於該細長孔內中;其中該透鏡與本體之其中之一設有定位柱,另一個則設有定位口,上述定位口貫穿具有相對的內側面且貫穿鄰接於內側面之其他面,其中一內側面為垂直面,另一內側面由兩相交的平面組成。
  2. 如申請專利範圍第1項所述之光纖連接器,其中該透鏡由高導光材料成型,本體由普通塑膠材料成型。
  3. 如申請專利範圍第2項所述之光纖連接器,其中該透鏡之後端面設有與光穿透部對齊的細孔,該細孔與該本體的細長孔亦對齊。
  4. 如申請專利範圍第1項所述之光纖連接器,其中該透鏡在光穿透部的兩側分別設有導引柱,該導引柱較光穿透部向前突出。
  5. 如申請專利範圍第1項、第3項及第4項之其中任何一項之光纖連接器,其中該本體的兩側設有向後延伸的扣持臂。
  6. 如申請專利範圍第5項所述之光纖連接器,其中該扣持臂之外側面在其鄰近末端處凸設有扣持部,該扣持部設有面朝前的扣持面,該扣持面與外側面的角度小於90度。
  7. 如申請專利範圍第6項之光纖連接器,其中該扣持臂之外側面在上述扣持部的前端設有另一扣持部,該另一扣持部設有面朝前的 導引面及面朝後的另一扣持面。
  8. 如申請專利範圍第7項之光纖連接器,其中該透鏡的後端面與本體的前端面為平面。
