藉由網際網路以及其他網路的大眾化，其漸漸造成了各式的互動及任務由實體世界轉向數位世界。例如，在過去的年頭中將文件以及檔案透過一群組中之各成員分享彼此的實體拷貝，而現今已通常透過一網路藉由電子式處理及數位傳送來分享各文件及檔案。在該一群組中各成員間的交換中，其首重在維護各式群組成員存取上的一控制程度，由其係當該群組彼此相互合作時。
隨著數位時代的來臨，一未被強烈自實體世界轉移至數位世界的活動也已開始具有群組互動。在每天的生活中，我們規律地與他人進行互動，並且隨著時間在參與各式活動的同時形成我們所屬的社交群組。然而，在任何社交群組內，資訊經常僅在該群組內少數成員中分享或者維持私秘狀態。該社交群組中的每者知道每一者並且該等群組會隨著時間成長並改變。在我們日常生活中所存在的這類現象(metaphor)尚未被轉移至數位世界中。
雖然現今存在有許多數位通訊的機制及形式，供彼此相隔一段距離的各方之間進行通訊，但這些機制及形式均未能提供一令人信服且能夠廣泛使用的解決方式。現存的通訊機制不能提供一種直覺式且容易使用的使用者介面。例如，該等技術不能提供一真實群組空間，而在該空間內各群組成員可迅速的知悉其他群組成員是否在線、存取分享檔案以及從事其他群組的活動。取而代之，許多現存的技術企圖焦注在一單一的活動或焦注努力於例如遊戲或檔案分享，而非焦注在該群組以及其活動與通訊上。其他技術允許群組交談但卻無群組的真實感、需要企圖每次開始一群組交談時進行群組的安裝，以及無提供用於將該群組轉變至一活動的機制，而不是單純的進行交談毋須再下一次活動時再次手動設定該群組。
因此，仍然存在一需求，以能夠透過其一期望之使用者的群組在一安全的環境下彼此進行互動以促進群組互動，且透過其能讓使用者能夠存取及維持與分享在他們與另一者所共享的關係中之檔案相關的控制。
本發明係關於一種用於透過一圖形介面提交一社交網路予一使用者的方法及系統。本發明呈現出與該社交網路相關的群組活動，以致使用戶可促動各任務及項目的管理。上述的動作尤其更包含執行與該網路中群組活動相關的各式操作。基於該社交網路的建立，其他使用者能夠存取和/或接收各相關於群組活動的通知，以及執行其他社交互動(例如加入互動的集會或在所分享之資料檔案上的共同合作)。其提供了一清晰且有用於群組活動的使用者操作，藉以建立一易於使用的群組空間。

一般來說，本發明係關於一分享的社交網路，其致使能在一群組內所定義的各成員中進行具安全性的互動。在一態樣中，本發明提供一使用者介面以尤其將一進入點(entry points)顯露給其他應用程式來允許即時文字、聲音和/或視聽通訊、分享的檔案操作、或在群組成員或活動內之一改變的通知。本發明允許在該社交網路內與各關聯之維護及形成相關的增強功能性。
如下在一社交網路或分享空間的背景中描述出本發明之一具體實施例，其中該社交網路或分享空間中係包含可透過一電腦網路進行通訊之多重個別使用者。典型上，該等使用者可在一社交環境或分享工作環境中形成一社交網路。然而，本發明並不僅侷限於此。相對來說，一社交網路或分享空間可指稱為一裝置空間，例如一家庭網路。也就是說，一社交網路或分享空間可意指一個人空間，例如一定義一社交空間(或分享空間)的一個別使用者來致使能夠存取分享的檔案、資源或其他來自多重裝置和/或位置的項目。
本發明可按由一電腦裝置可執行之電腦可執行指令(例如程式模組或物件)來描述。一般來說，程式模組或物件可被實施成常式(routines)、程式、部件、資料結構以及其他類似者以執行特定任務或實行特定抽象資料型態。
本發明亦可被實施在各式的電腦裝置設置。例如本發明可在手持裝置、行動電話、多處理系統、微處理式系統或可程式化消費者電子裝置、網路個人電腦、小型電腦、大型電腦以及其他類似者、可穿戴裝置或通訊裝置以及任何其他能夠視覺化顯示及直接或間接與其他裝置通信的裝置。本發明也可實施在分散式系統，其中各任務可透過一通訊網路由所鏈結的遠端處理裝置來執行。在一分散式的計算環境中，程式模組可被放置在本地以及遠端記憶體儲存裝置中。因此吾人應可瞭解到本發明係較佳應被併入許多如上所建議的各式計算環境中。在本發明所操作示範性的計算環境中，該環境係被描述在專利申請號10/692,501，名為「用於在點對點群組分享空間中做檔案分享的方法及系統」以及第10/639,228號，名為「群組分享空間」中，上述該兩者於2003年10月24日於專利及商標事務所中提出申請，並且在此將併入做為參考。

雖然本發明未加以描述，但亦可將使用在本發明之一具體實施例中所描述之環境的一或多個使用者機器實施成在如下所指之應用程式中所描述的計算裝置。本發明亦可附加地或另外地被使用於任何數量的其他通訊裝置類型上，該等通訊裝置包含(但不限制於)可穿戴式的通訊裝置、行動電話及個人數位助理(PDAs)。
根據本發明，一社交網路係以現存作業系統使用者介面特徵之外觀及感覺透過一圖形使用者介面來呈現。例如，本發明可使用瀏覽視窗以允許該使用者來瀏覽該社交網路或其各自所屬的各網路。在一具體實施例中，係藉由在該視窗之一社交空間部份中呈現該社交網路之圖示的表示來實作本發明。該瀏覽器致使能夠存取各種應用程式以及其他項目之關於駐存在該社交網路中的資料。
為了促進群組成員間之互動以及通訊，本發明利用一現存作業系統基礎建設來允許欲在一分散式環境傳遞的一大量應用程式和或事態(scenario)。上述的基礎建設可提供以下功能性，包含(但不限制於)可由此領域中具有通常知識者所體會之分散式連接、名稱解析(Name Resolution)、有效率的多點通訊以及合作、安全性群組(secure groups)及分散的資料管理等等。
當可在許多方式下完成時，本發明之一具體實施例係被實施成一合作架構的部分，其中該架構包含各種合作物件(collaboration objects)，如下將有更詳盡的說明。該等合作物件一般定義一使用者介面內之各式元件。在一較佳具體實施例中，該等合作物件被包含在一呈現層(presentation layer)以存取適當的合作服務以及控制經定義的應用程式介面。

一社交網路勘探者(explorer)係由圖形使用者介面表示及控制來呈現，其中該表示及控制可被包含成一作業系統的部分，或者至少一作業系統操作的直覺擴充。就像極該真實的世界，建立一社交網路以形成一或許多實體中的一關係。由該相同實體所使用及創建之該社交網路係較佳顯示在一單一介殼資料夾(shell folder)以定義一社交空間。該瀏覽器則提供一可同等在該社交網路中使用之應用程式及項目的進入點。
在一具體實施例中，可將在一社交網路中經各成員存取的各種活動實施成各種活動物件。該等物件一般提供一具有一相關性活動之描述以及一與活動相關之進入點的使用者介面。可使用該等資訊的活動物件來呈現在一特定社交網路內所傳導之目前各固定性以及短暫性活動的概觀。固定性活動物件(persistent activity objects)呈現與不隨著時間改變之資料相關的活動以及關於該社交網路內之各成員的活動。短暫性活動物件則呈現在一給定點及時被傳導的各活動以及相關資料。
因為在一真實社交中之一社交網路內的各互動可為同步以及非同步兩者，則該等活動亦可支持同步及非同步的互動。例如，某些活動僅牽涉一個體或者牽涉一個體之呈現未顯露給其他成員的情況。
在第2圖上則顯示出根據本發明之一具體實施例的一整體使用者介面。一“我的社交網路，My Social Networks”瀏覽器視窗202的螢幕顯示包含一或舵個數目的元件，該等元件係設計來簡易存取、建立以及管理一社交網路的能力。該瀏覽器視窗202具有一含各種區域(例如一資料夾區域204)直覺性的佈局，並且在此佈局中可駐存一或多個社交網路。此外，該視窗202包含一頂部區域206用以呈現經由使用者所選擇之某些動作的一列表208。

一特定使用者可具有其所屬超過一個以上的群組，並且一群組中之每一成員可屬於一或多個其他成員所不屬於的一群組或者各群組。因此，雖然該相關社交群組圖示210顯露出每一群組成員以及同一顯露在每一機器上，對應於該圖示210之一社交空間的部分可不與其他群組成員進行分享。
在一具體實施例中，將一社交網路狀態在一邊緣列使用者介面部分上提供給該使用者，例如可在一視窗介殼(Windows Shell)上顯示。第3圖則描述了一邊緣列302的一例示性實施，而該邊緣列302係用以呈現關於該社交網路狀態的資訊。該邊緣列302包含一社交網路邊緣列部分304，且其較佳可透過使用一般結合該邊緣列302的對話框來存取。在一具體實施例中，一或多個使用者選擇圖示306、308呈現出關於與社交網路相關聯之狀態的資訊。例如，在“College Friend”網路中八個群組成員中之三者目前正活動於此網路中，在“Soccer Buds”網路中六個群組成員中之一者正活動於此網路中。同樣地，當該使用者使用指標盤旋於一圖示上時，其可顯示在該社交網路中現存的活動成員。在此方式中，則便利地顯示關於該社交網路之狀態及活動的資訊給該使用者，而毋需導覽第2圖所示之該瀏覽器視窗或導覽至一社交空間，如下所描述。
由於該所提供至邊緣列302之限制的不動資產(real estate)，在許多案例中並非所有社交網路在一給定的時間被呈現給該使用者。為了限制該所呈現之社交網路的數目，本發明可允許使用者設置以顯示其將展示何者社交網路。另外或此外，該系統可提供具人工智慧的的過濾器以基於一給定之準則集來展示社交網路。因此，呈現在該邊緣列302內之網路的表列可以是靜態的，例如可由使用者設置，或者可以基於一活動過濾器而為動態的。例如，當基於活動而動態地改變其他社交網路圖示時，該使用者可“釘，pin”上該可用的社交網路之一子集合至該邊緣列部分304。
為了提供關於在活動中之改變或者在一社交網路中之其他狀態的改變，一較佳具體實施例的特徵係呈現各種通知予該使用者。例如，該使用者可當在一給定之社交網路中線上進來一新成員時接收通知。上述之通知可僅當該使用者從事於一社交網路活動中時才呈現。另外，可無論何時該使用者正操作他或她計算裝置時呈現該等通知。

如上所說明，本發明並不限定在包含複數個透過一電腦網路彼此進行互動之群組的社交網路。例如，一使用者可定義一社交網路成一裝置空間來致始各裝置間資料的存取。也就是說，可使用一分享空間來提供不同計算裝置間的互動，例如在一家庭網路。由於一分享空間之拓樸獨立性(topology independence)，一使用者可另外定義一社交網路為一個人空間來致使能夠存取來自不同計算裝置及/或位置所分享的檔案、資源或其他項目。在此例子中，儘管網路拓樸中的改變，該社交網路維持恆定。

Claims (21)

  1. 一種包含一處理單元的運算裝置，該處理單元係根據電腦可執行指令、一記憶體及一群組互動應用程式而配置，該群組互動應用程式包含電腦可執行指令，該等電腦可執行指令係在該記憶體中維持(maintain)、並在該處理器上執行以呈現一圖形使用者介面，使在社交網路中所定義的各成員間能夠進行互動，該介面至少包含：一第一顯示區域，該第一顯示區域包含：一第一區(section)及一第二區，該第一區包含可由一第一成員來選擇的至少一動作圖像，該至少一動作圖像包含一啟動社交空間圖像、一啟動群組活動圖像及一邀請新成員圖像，該第二區包含：至少一社交空間圖像，每一至少一社交空間圖像係對應至該第一成員所屬的一社交網路，且該每一至少一社交空間圖像提供針對對應至該至少一社交空間圖像之一社交空間的一鏈結，該針對該社交空間之鏈結包含針對一社交空間視窗的一鏈結；一第二顯示區域，該第二顯示區域包含一邊緣列以用於提供社交網路狀態，該邊緣列具有對應於每一至少一社交空間圖像的一使用者可選圖像，該使用者可選圖像係呈現該每一至少一社交空間圖像的狀態資訊，該狀態資訊包含所有群組成員之一部分(fraction)活動於該每 一至少一社交空間中的一數字指示，其中若該第一成員將一游標盤旋於該使用者可選圖像上時，即提供於該每一至少一社交空間中活動的群組成員之一呈現指示；及一第三顯示區域，該第三顯示區域係用於提供與該至少一社交空間之一者相關之一改變的一通知，該通知包含：該至少一社交空間之該者的一圖像表示、該改變之一文字描述、針對一活動或一與該改變相關之一檔案的一使用者可選進入點及一可擴充選項選單，其中，該第二顯示區域係為可視而與該第一或該第三顯示區域之一可視呈現無關，且當與該至少一社交空間之該者相關之該改變發生及下列之一種情況時，該第三顯示區域係為可視：該至少一社交空間之該者的一新成員促動；該第一成員活動於該至少一社交空間之該者中；或該第一成員正開啟一運算裝置以用於存取該至少一社交空間之該者。
