Description

燃燒室噴嘴
本發明係關於可用於燃燒渦輪中之燃燒室。更具體而言,本發明係關於一種用於將燃料噴射至一燃燒室中之噴嘴系統。
燃氣渦輪在許多應用(亦即,在飛機推進、船舶推進、發電及驅動過程中)中起主要作用,諸如幫浦及壓縮機。通常,一燃氣渦輪包含一壓縮機、一燃燒室及一渦輪。在運作中,將空氣餵入至其中空氣由一壓縮機壓縮且該空氣之一部分進一步與燃料混合之系統中。然後,使經壓縮之空氣及燃料混合物燃燒以引起一膨脹,該膨脹負責驅動該渦輪。
為了努力減少排放物,已將燃燒室設計為在點火之前預混合燃料及空氣。經預混合之燃料及空氣在一低於化學計量燃燒(其發生於傳統擴散燃燒期間)之溫度下燃燒。因此,經預混合之燃燒導致較低NOx排放物。
一典型燃燒室包含環繞一中心二級噴嘴之複數個一級燃料噴嘴。傳統二級噴嘴可包含用於同一細長管狀結構內之所有擴散燃料及預混合燃料之若干通路。此類型之噴嘴通常包含一複雜通路結構,該等通路含納於一單個管狀外殼中。用於產生擴散火焰之該等通路延伸穿過該噴嘴之長度。將預混合燃料分配至擴散尖端之上游以允許燃料在到達火焰區域(其位於噴嘴之下游)之前與流經燃燒室之經壓縮之空氣混合。因此,用於預混合燃料之通路通常比用於擴散燃料之通路短。
另外,預混合燃料可與擴散尖端上游、且更重要地二級噴嘴結構之徑向外側之空氣混合。在此類型之二級噴嘴中,僅沿該噴嘴長度之一部分載攜預混合燃料直至在徑向上將預混合燃料自噴嘴本體向外傳遞至一預混合噴射器尖端為止。在該噴射器尖端處,將預混合燃料分配至空氣流路徑中。由於燃料及空氣繼續沿二級噴嘴長度之剩餘部分向下游行進,因此其發生混合,從而允許噴嘴尖端下游之火焰區域內之更多有效燃燒。
儘管經壓縮之空氣係熱的,但相比之下燃料通常係涼的。流經二級噴嘴中之不同通路之溫差可導致用於構造噴嘴之材料之不同位準之熱膨脹。預期簡化二級噴嘴以降低由噴嘴結構內部複雜性、極端運作條件及熱膨脹差產生之對噴嘴結構之高應力將係有益的。
本發明提供一種包含於用於一燃燒渦輪之一燃燒室內之二級噴嘴。該二級噴嘴包括一凸緣及一自該凸緣延伸之細長噴嘴本體。至少一個預混合燃料噴射器在徑向上與該噴嘴本體間隔開且在軸向上自該凸緣延伸、大體平行於該噴嘴本體。
該二級噴嘴包括一燃料源、一凸緣及一自該凸緣在軸向上延伸之第一噴嘴管。至少一個第二噴嘴管在徑向上向外與該第一噴嘴管間隔開且具有一固定至該凸緣之近端。該第二噴嘴管以流體方式連接至該燃料源。該第二噴嘴管具有一遠端,其在軸向上與該第二噴嘴之近端間隔開且其中具有至少一個孔。一通路在該第二噴嘴管之近端與該第二噴嘴管之遠端之間延伸,該通路以流體方式連接該燃料源及該至少一個孔。
本文闡述一種供在一燃燒渦輪中使用之示例性燃燒室。所圖解說明類型之燃燒室係通常於燃燒渦輪內之壓縮機級之後定位的複數種燃燒室中的一種。
現參照圖且首先參照圖1,燃燒室由編號10表示且如所圖解說明係一雙級雙模式燃燒室,其具有一燃燒室流套管12、一後壁總成14及一燃燒室壁13。給燃燒室壁13之徑向內側提供複數個一級燃料噴嘴16及一二級燃料噴嘴18。噴嘴16、18用於將燃料噴射至燃燒室10中。
藉由渦輪壓縮機(未顯示)向用於燃燒(以及冷卻)之入口空氣加壓且然後經由燃燒室流套管12及一過渡導管(未顯示)將其引導至燃燒室10中。至燃燒室10中之空氣流係用於燃燒及用以冷卻燃燒室10兩者。該空氣於燃燒室流套管12與燃燒室壁13之間沿方向「A」流動。一般而言,所圖解說明之空氣流稱為反向流,因為方向「A」相對於經由渦輪及燃燒室之正常空氣流係在一上游方向上。
燃燒室10包含一一級燃燒室42及一二級燃燒室44,二級燃燒室44位於一級燃燒室42之下游。一文氏喉區域46係位於一級與二級燃燒室42、44之間。如圖2及3中所示,一級噴嘴16係配置成圍繞二級噴嘴18之一環形環。在圖1中,一襯墊40將一中心體38界定於燃燒室10之中心。
現參照圖1-3,一級噴嘴16中之每一者係安裝於一後壁總成14上。一級噴嘴16自後壁14突出且將燃料提供至一級燃燒室42。燃料經由一一級燃料源20而被遞送至一級噴嘴16。通常由火星塞或交叉火管(未顯示)提供一級燃燒室42中之用於燃燒點火之火花或火焰。
可結合一級噴嘴16提供空氣旋流器以促進燃燒空氣與燃料之混合以提供燃料及空氣之一可點火混合物。如上所述,燃燒空氣係自壓縮機導出且於燃燒室流套管12與燃燒室壁13之間沿「A」方向投送。在到達後壁總成14之後,經加壓之空氣於燃燒室壁13與後壁14之間在徑向上向內流至一級燃燒室42中。另外,出於冷卻目的,燃燒室壁13在一級及二級燃燒室42、44兩者中可具備槽或百葉窗(未顯示)。該等槽或百葉窗亦可將稀釋空氣提供至燃燒室10中以調節一級或二級燃燒室42、44內之火焰溫度。
現參照圖1至圖4,二級噴嘴18自一凸緣22經由後壁14而延伸至燃燒室10中。二級噴嘴18延伸至文氏管喉頸區域46上游之一點以將燃料引入至二級燃燒室44中。凸緣22可具備用於將二級噴嘴18安裝於燃燒室10之後壁14上之構件(未顯示)。該安裝構件可係一機械鏈接(諸如螺栓),其用於將凸緣22固定至後壁14且其促進噴嘴18之移除(諸如)以供修復或替換。亦涵蓋用於附接之其他構件。
用於一級噴嘴16之燃料係由一一級燃料源20供應且經引導而穿過後壁14。經由凸緣22將二級傳送及預混合燃料源24、25提供至二級噴嘴18。雖然此處未顯示,但二級噴嘴18亦可具有一用於將燃料噴射至燃燒室10中之擴散迴路或導引迴路。
二級噴嘴18包括一噴嘴本體30及至少一個預混合燃料噴射器32。二級噴嘴18位於中心體38內且由襯墊40環繞,如圖1中所示。預混合燃料噴射器32於凸緣22上配置成一圍繞噴嘴本體30之大體環形構形,如圖3中之最佳所見。當自頂部觀察時,預混合燃料噴射器32中之每一者具有一大體橢圓形或細長剖面形狀。如圖3中之最佳所見,噴射器32之一第一側或端34係接近噴嘴本體30而設置。噴射器32之一第二側或端36係設置於第一端34之徑向外側。
預混合燃料噴射器32被顯示為在一級噴嘴16與噴嘴本體30之間直接對準以促進經由中心體38及圍繞噴嘴本體30之空氣流。在此一配置中,預混合燃料噴射器32之第二端36係接近一級噴嘴16而設置。至燃燒室10中之空氣流「A」自燃燒室壁13外側徑向向內行進。此空氣之一部分向下游行進至一級燃燒室42中且穿過一級燃燒室42。該空氣之另一部分(舉例而言,流經燃燒室之整個空氣流之5%至20%)徑向向內經過一級噴嘴16及一級燃燒室42行進至中心體38中,然後其經由該中心體而向下游行進。沿凸緣22及後壁14之空氣流之此第二部分之方向由圖3中之字母「B」表示。雖然可使用其他構形,但在一級噴嘴16與二級噴嘴18之間使預混合燃料噴射器32對準於一級噴嘴16之徑向內側允許至中心體38中之最大空氣流。同樣,雖然所顯示之預混合燃料噴射器32具有一細長剖面,但亦可使用其他形狀,諸如圓形、矩形、三角形等等。
現參照圖5至圖7且繼續參照圖1至圖4,二級噴嘴18被顯示為包含一噴嘴本體30及若干預混合燃料噴射器32。如上所述,二級噴嘴18位於中心體38中且由襯墊40環繞(圖1)。噴嘴本體30沿中心體38之縱向軸延伸。噴嘴本體30具有一大體細長圓柱形外部套管部分52,其將一腔31界定於其中。如圖所示,傳送燃料通道64位於腔31之外部部分內。傳送燃料通道64自凸緣22向遠端延伸且在經間隔位置處配置成一環形構形。已知且亦可利用不傳送變體。
傳送燃料通道64以流體方式連接至傳送歧管51,傳送歧管51係由傳送燃料源24餵入。傳送燃料通道64包含一縱向管66及至少一個徑向通路68。通路68自管66被徑向向外引導且與噴嘴本體30之壁中之一孔71對準。通路68經由開口71將燃料噴射至套管52之外側以與沿壁52流動之空氣混合。一第二開口70被顯示於開口71之上游且提供一供空氣進入至腔31中環繞定位於導管本體30內之中心管之部分之入口。空氣中移動經過開口70之一部分被引導至腔31中以冷卻噴嘴本體30。腔31中之空氣自噴嘴之端54上之開口58排出。該中心管將燃料餵入至噴嘴端54以用於支援二級燃燒室44中之一火焰。(參見圖1及圖9至圖11。)。開口70係與由通路68提供之燃料及由噴射器32提供之額外燃料分離。應注意,可提供額外開口以混合噴嘴本體30外側之燃料流或將空氣流引導至噴嘴腔31中。此外,若需要,則可去除燃料通道64。
噴嘴本體30之外部套管部分52自凸緣22延伸至一遠尖端54。噴嘴本體30之尖端54具有至少一個孔58以允許來自環繞中心管部分之通路31之內側之經加壓空氣之通過。
如上所述,經由傳送燃料源24及預混合燃料源25將燃料供應至二級噴嘴18。如圖6中之最佳所見,傳送燃料源24延伸至凸緣22中,從而將燃料提供至傳送歧管51,歧管51以流體方式連接至傳送燃料通道64。預混合燃料源25延伸至凸緣22中且與預混合歧管室50流體連通,歧管室50以流體方式連接至預混合燃料噴射器32。
預混合燃料噴射器32自凸緣22向遠端延伸,其具有一小於噴嘴本體30之長度之長度。預混合燃料噴射器32之一遠端60包含預混合孔62,該等孔用於將燃料分配至噴嘴本體30外側之中心體38之區域中。預混合燃料與在襯墊40內流動之空氣混合。當該混合物到達二級燃燒室44時,最佳化該混合物以實現二級燃燒室44(參見圖1)中之有效燃燒。
與典型二級噴嘴(其中經由自一凸緣延伸之一單個結構排放擴散及預混合燃料)不同,使用一獨立預混合燃料噴射器32允許噴嘴本體30之一簡化。所顯示之噴射器32允許少於典型噴嘴之噴嘴本體30內側之內部通路。此簡化降低對二級噴嘴18之應力,該應力可能由因燃料及經加壓空氣之溫度之變化而造成之噴嘴結構18、32內之溫差引起。另外,所涵蓋之設計易於維持且允許傳統二級噴嘴內不可能達成之一模組化程度。
除所顯示之結構以外,預混合燃料噴射器32可具有一分配環,該分配環以流體方式連接至一或多組預混合孔62。其他分配器尖端結構亦可與所特別顯示之類型之預混合燃料噴射器32一起使用。
現參照圖8,在一典型「一級」運作中,首先在二級燃燒室44上游之一級燃燒室42中建立火焰72。僅經由一級噴嘴16提供用於此初始火焰之燃料。在圖9中,在二級燃燒室44中建立一火焰72,同時火焰72亦保持在一級燃燒室42中。為在二級燃燒室44中建立火焰72,經由二級噴嘴18噴射一部分燃料,同時經由一級噴嘴16傳送大部分燃料。舉例而言,總燃料排放量之30%經由二級噴嘴來噴射,同時該燃料之70%經由一級噴嘴16來傳送。此火焰圖案指示一「貧-貧」類型運作。
在圖10中,引導整個燃料流穿過二級噴嘴18之噴嘴本體30,從而在二級燃燒室44內建立一穩定火焰。藉由切斷至一級噴嘴16之燃料流而在一級燃燒室42中熄滅火焰。在此「第二級」燃燒運作期間,先前經由一級噴嘴16噴射之燃料經由傳送燃料通道64而轉向至二級噴嘴18。將傳送及預混合燃料噴射至火焰72之上游。經由二級噴嘴18之燃料及空氣流在此級處被視為相對「富」,因為100%的燃料流經二級噴嘴18而其中僅一部分空氣既定用於燃燒。
現參照圖11,一旦在二級燃燒室44中建立一穩定火焰且在一級燃燒室42中熄滅該火焰,則可將燃料流恢復至一級噴嘴16且減小至二級噴嘴18之燃料流。由於火焰已自一級燃燒室42中熄滅,因此一級噴嘴16擔當一預混合器。在此「預混合」運作模式期間,由於文氏喉區域46,火焰被維持在二級燃燒室44中。舉例而言,總燃料排放量之83%可經由一級噴嘴16來傳送,同時剩餘之17%之燃料經由二級噴嘴18來噴射。亦可能有其他相關百分比。

Claims (13)

  1. 一種用於一燃氣渦輪之二級噴嘴,其包括:一凸緣;一細長噴嘴本體,其自該凸緣延伸;及至少一個預混合燃料噴射器,其在徑向上與該噴嘴本體間隔開,該噴射器自該凸緣在軸向上延伸且大體平行於該噴嘴本體達該噴嘴本體之長度之一部分,該噴射器獨立於該噴嘴本體。
  2. 如請求項1之二級噴嘴,其中該噴嘴本體具有一第一長度且該預混合燃料噴射器具有一小於該第一長度之第二長度。
