經濟部智慧財產局員工消費合作社印製 發明背景 發明領域 本發明有關一種液晶顯示器(LCD),尤其有關一種下 述的液晶顯示器,其中至少兩個或更多個光導板呈平行配 置、且一個燈單元配置於光導板一側上或光導板之間,因 此加強大螢幕尺寸LCD的照度,使得此LCD具有均勻照度 並達成小型尺寸及較輕的LCD。 相關技藝之描沭 LCD—般係為最常用的平板顯示器類型,尤其,lcd 由於小尺寸、輕重量及較低功率消耗而取代習知的陰極射 線管(CRT)。 為了在LCD板上顯示影像,LCD需要一個稱為背光總 成之光源。 $光總成包含:一個燈單元,用以產生光束、一個漫 射層,配置於LCD板下方以漫射從燈單元產生之光束、一 個光導板,具有楔形或平坦形以將燈單元產生的光束導入 光導板的全體表面、一個反射板,配置於光導板下方以將 光導板所洩漏光線導向LCD板、以及稱為模架之一個接收 容器,該接收容器係收納燈單元、漫射層、光導板及反射 板。 近來已發展出桌上型電腦及筆記型電腦用之14吋對角 尺寸或更大的LCD板,且幾乎已在所有產業中普遍作為顯 示器之用。 LCD技術的發展雖針對大尺寸螢幕,lcd板的厚度並 本紙張尺度適用中國國家標準(CNS)A4規格(210 X 297公蓳) 4 J 一 --------^— 先閱讀,背面之注意事項再填寫本頁) 1224702 經濟部智慧財產局員工消費合作社印製 A7 B7 五、發明說明(2 ) 未大幅增加。但背光總成的尺寸與厚度係與螢幕尺寸增加 成正比大幅增加,這也是增大光導板尺寸之因素。 為了防止LCD技術對大尺寸螢幕演進造成之難以避免 的LCD尺寸與厚度增加,自然地增大光導板的入射面厚度 ,因此亦增加光導板之總面積及重量,導致LCD的整體尺 寸與厚度增加,而不符合LCD追求超薄及輕重量之趨勢。 發明概論 本發明可使LCD具有大螢幕尺寸、超薄厚度及輕重量 為了如實施方式及廣泛說明般地達成根據本發明目的 之以上及其他優點,液晶顯示器包含:一個光供應單元組 ,具有平行排列之至少兩個光導板及耦合至該光導板一側 之至少一個燈單元;一光控制元件安裝在該光供應單元組 之一上表面上,以均勻地控制光導板與該燈單元之間的照 度;一反射板配置於光供應單元組之一後表面上且具有與 該光供應單元組的後表面相對應的形狀;一個背光總成係 包括個接收容器,以收納該光供應單元組、該光控制元 件及該反射板;及一顯示單元,安裝在該光控制元件上並 由該接收容器所固定。 根據本發明另一型態,為了達成目的及優點,提供一 種液晶顯示器,包含:一個光供應單元組,具有平行排列 之至少兩個平坦的光導板及耦合至該平坦的光導板一側之 至v個燈單元,一光控制元件安裝在該光供應單元組之 一上表面上,以均勻地控制該平坦的光導板與該燈單元之 本紙張尺度適用中關家標準(CNS)A4規格⑵〇 χ 297公爱)
