This motorcycle (10) is assembled by installing a swing unit (16) with built-in rear wheel power transmission mechanism swingably and vertically on a body frame, extending the swing unit (16) rearward, extending a swing arm (70) from a longitudinally mid-point of the swing unit (16) rearward, pivotally supporting a rear wheel (17) between the rear part of the swing unit (16) and the rear part of the swing arm (70), and installing a caliper (92) of a hydraulic rear disk brake (90) on the swing arm (70). Then, a muffler (82) for engine exhaust is passed through the swing arm (70) in the outer side direction thereof, and the caliper (92) is disposed on the underside of the swing arm (70).
