Abstract

A working method and a working apparatus which enable supply of a sufficient amount of grinding fluid to a grinding point on an inner surface of a cup-type grinding wheel, which are suitable for high-precision grinding, and which enable efficient use of a space around the cup-type grinding wheel as well as maintenance of the working environment around a grinding machine in a clean condition. A working fluid supply nozzle portion is provided on the inner surface side of the cup-type grinding wheel, and a working fluid is supplied from the working fluid supply nozzle portion to a grinding point on the inner surface of the cup-type grinding wheel. The working fluid supply nozzle portion can be formed as a nozzle hole formed by boring a bottom portion of the cup-type grinding wheel. In this case, one end of the nozzle hole opens to a working fluid supply channel formed through the wheel spindle, and the other end has a nozzle end orifice facing in a direction from a bottom portion toward an inner wall of the cup-type grinding wheel.
