Abstract
The purpose of this invention is to provide the sealing plate for the opening portion of airtight battery container and its fabricating method. In this invention, simple constitution is used to surely rupture the sealing, which is connected to outside portion, when pressure inside the container is too high. The solving means is described as follows. The sealing plate 2 fixed at the container 1 is composed of metal plate, in which slot 22 is formed by following the contours of surrounded and confined range on the surface of sealing plate. The expanding portion is formed inside the slot 22. The rupturing pressure of the slot 22 on the sealing plate 2 can be adjusted by suitably setting the wall thickness for the metal plate of slot 22. In the fabricating method of sealing plate 2, compressing method is used to process and compress metal plate to form slot 22 such that the expanding portion 23 is formed at the same time. Therefore, rupturing pressure can be easily adjusted by only performing the annealing process onto the metal plate. In addition, the recess portion 21 is formed at the range including slot 22 and expanding portion 23. Moreover, slot 22 and expanding portion can be formed on the bottom face, in which the recess portion 21 is formed.
