Abstract

The invention provides a coil winding device for a static electromagnetic inductor which can reduce the mounting space thereof, has no concern of damaging the coil and can obtain an increased reliability. The invented device uses a sliding device 41 to slide a material supply barrel 20, and a wiring frame sliding device 71 to slide the wiring frame 81. Therefore, when the position of the wire material W lead from the material supply barrel 20 varies up and down, the wire material can be wound up by the wiring frame 81 in approximately horizontally. When the wiring frame 81 is winding or the wire material is wound back to the material supply barrel 20, a powder clutch 55 controls the torque supplied to the material supply barrel 20 and the winding tension becomes a predetermined value (thereby the wire material W between the supply barrel 20 and the wiring frame 81 approximately becomes horizontal) without generating a curve tendency thereby reducing the distance between the material supply barrel and the wiring frame and reducing the mounting space. Furthermore, the brake supply barrel supplies a predetermined lead-out tension to the wire material such that the wire material will not be damaged.
