Abstract

A double-head swash plate type compressor, which comprises the press plates formed at the boss of the swash plate rotating with the driving shaft and the thrust bearings formed between the press plates of the cylinder body and separately clamped thereby, which is characterized in that: the two pressed plates, which clamp at least one of the thrust bearings interposed at the press plates, have a pressed surface including track center circles on one side of the thrust bearing, and form into a jetty shape the outer diameter of which is smaller than that of the race confronted with one of the pressed plates; said at least one pressed plate has a clearance in the radial direction on the side contacting the swash plate corresponding to the force applied on the swash plate by the rotation of the compressor in the gap through the inclination of the swash plate by the bearing.
