Abstract

A laser remelt process for plasma-sprayed zirconia coating to enhance theanti-oxidation and anti-corrosion properties of the surface layer of metalobject, which comprises the following steps: (a) pre-heating the plasma-sprayed heat-insulated object and undergoing first laser remelt; (b) preparing slurry of ceramic powder and uniformly coating the slurry on the area of the object which has been treated by first laser remelt and undergoing vacuum drawing so as to enable the slurry uniformly permeating into the voids generated by the first laser remelt; repeat the step (b) two to three times and drying the object; (c) pre-heating the treated object to undergo second laser remelt and controlling the depth of the remelt so as to let the depth of the second laser remelt being smaller than the first laser remelt.
