本文所用之“膳食性丁酸化物(dietary butyrate)”係指丁酸化物(butyrate)及丁酸化物衍生物(butyrate derivative)。膳食性丁酸化物之非限制性實例包括丁酸、丁酸鹽、以及丁酸之甘油酯。

本揭示內容之營養組成物可提供最少的、部分的或全部的營養支持。組成物可為營養補充品(nutritional supplement)或是膳食取代物(meal replacement)。組成物可為但非必須是營養完整的。於一實施態樣中,本揭示內容之營養組成物係營養完整的(nutritionally complete)且包含
合適種類與合適量的脂質、碳水化合物、蛋白質、維生素與礦物質。脂質或脂肪的量通常可自約1至約25g/100Kcal變化。蛋白質的量通常可自約1至約7g/100Kcal變化。碳水化合物的量通常可自約6至約22g/100Kcal變化。
於一實施態樣中,兒童營養組成物可含有(每份)任何給定國家之最大飲食建議量(maximum dietary recommendation)之約10至約50%、或是一群國家的平均飲食建議量(average dietary recommendation)之約10至約50%的維生素A、C與E、鋅、鐵、碘、硒與膽鹼。於另一實施態樣中,兒童營養組成物可供應(每份)任何給定國家之最大飲食建議量之約10-30%、或是一群國家的平均飲食建議量之約10-30%的維生素B。在又另一實施態樣中,兒童營養產品中的維生素D、鈣、鎂、磷與鉀之量可相當於在乳(milk)中所發現的平均量。於其他實施態樣中,其他營養素(nutrient)在兒童營養組成物中之存在量(每份)可為任何給定國家之最大飲食建議量之約20%、或是一群國家的平均飲食建議量之約20%。
於一些實施態樣中,營養組成物為嬰兒配方。嬰兒配方為嬰兒之強化營養組成物。嬰兒配方的內容係規定於聯邦法規(federal regulation),其定義多量養分(macronutrient)、維生素、礦物質以及其他成分量,用以模擬人類母乳的營養與其他性質。嬰兒配方係設計以支持小兒人類個體(例如嬰兒或兒童)之整體健康與發育。
於一些實施態樣中,本揭示內容之營養組成物為成長乳(growing-up milk)。成長乳係加強之乳類(milk-based)飲品,用於超過一歲的兒童(通常為1-3歲、為4-6歲或是為1-6歲)。它們不是醫療食物,並非意欲作為膳食取代物或是解決特定營養缺乏的補充品。而是,成長乳的設計係意欲作為多樣化飲食之補足品,提供額外的保證使兒童達成持續的每日攝取所有必需的維生素與礦物質、多量養分(macronutrient)加上其他功能性飲食成分,例如已稱具有促進健康性質的非必需營養素。
依據本揭示內容成長乳或其他營養組成物之確切組成可依市場不同而變化,取決於當地法規以及目標人口飲食攝取資訊。於一些實施態樣中,依據本揭示內容的營養組成物係由乳蛋白來源組成,例如全脂乳或是去脂乳,加上所添加之糖與甜味劑以達到所欲之感受性質,及所添加之維生素與礦物質。脂肪組成包括源自乳之富含脂質部分(enriched lipid fraction derived from milk)。總蛋白質之目標可為符合人乳、牛乳者,或為較低值。總碳水化合物通常目標為提供盡量少量之添加糖,例如蔗糖或果糖,以達到可接受的口味。典型地,維生素A、鈣與維生素D的添加量係符合區域性牛乳營養素貢獻(nutrient contribution)。另外,於一些實施態樣中,維生素與礦物質可添加的量為每份係提供膳食參考攝取量(dietary reference intake,DRI)之約20%或是每日攝取量(Daily Value,DV)的20%。再者,在不同市場可改變營養素量,

所揭示的營養組成物可用本領域所知的任何形式提供,例如粉末、膠體、懸浮物、糊狀物、固體、液體、液體濃縮物、重組粉狀乳替代物(reconstituteable powdered milk substitute)或是即用產品。在某些實施態樣中,營養組成物可包括營養補充品、兒童營養產品、嬰兒配方、人乳強化品(human milk fortifier)、成長乳、或是任何其他設計用於嬰兒或小兒個體的營養組成物。例如,本揭示內容的營養組成物包含口服攝食的促進健康物質,其包括例如食物、飲料、片劑(tablet)、膠囊與粉末。再者,可將本揭示內容的營養組成物標準化成特定的卡路里含量,其可作為即用(ready-to-use)產品,或是其可為濃縮形式。於一些實施態樣中,粉末形式的營養組成物之顆粒大小為5微米(μm)至1500微米的範圍,較佳為10μm至300μm的範圍。
於一些實施態樣中,本揭示內容係關於製造包含膳食性丁酸化物之營養組成物(其具有改善的的官能性質)的方法。例如,於一些實施態樣中,營養組成物包含已包封或塗覆(根據本文提供之揭示內容)之膳食性丁酸化物。

Claims (20)
- 一種營養組成物,其包含:碳水化合物來源;蛋白質來源;脂肪來源;以及,膳食性丁酸化物,其中,該膳食性丁酸化物係選自由丁酸、丁酸鹽、丁酸之甘油酯、以及彼等之組合所組成之群組。
- 如申請專利範圍第1項之營養組成物,其中,該膳食性丁酸化物存在於營養組成物中的量為約0.2g/100g脂肪酸至約1.8g/100g脂肪酸。
- 如申請專利範圍第2項之營養組成物,其中,該膳食性丁酸化物係包封於由下列者所構成之基質(matrix)中:乳化劑諸如甘油酯(glyceride)之單酯(mono-ester)、二酯(di-ester)及有機酯(organic ester),碳水化合物水膠體(carbohydrate hydrocolloid)諸如天然澱粉(natural starch)、物理修飾澱粉(physical-modified starch)、化學修飾澱粉(chemical-modified starch)、果膠、葡聚糖、環糊精、麥芽糊精,以及蛋白質諸如來自於酪蛋白、乳清或大豆,以改善其官能性質(organoleptic property)。
- 如申請專利範圍第2項之營養組成物,其中,該膳食性丁酸化物係以由下列者所構成之基質塗覆:乳化劑諸如甘油酯(glyceride)之單酯(mono-ester)、二酯(di-ester)及有機酯(organic ester),碳水化合物水膠體(carbohydrate hydrocolloid)諸如天然澱粉(natural starch)、物理修飾澱粉(physical-modified starch)、化學修飾澱粉(chemical-modified starch)、果膠、葡聚糖、環糊精、麥芽糊精,以及蛋白質諸如來自於酪蛋白、乳清或大豆,以改善其官能性質。
- 如申請專利範圍第1項之營養組成物,其中,該膳食性丁酸化物包括丁酸之甘油酯(glycerol ester)。
- 如申請專利範圍第1項之營養組成物,其中,該膳食性丁酸化物包括丁酸鈉(sodium butyrate)、丁酸鉀(potassium butyrate)、丁酸鈣(calcium butyrate)、丁酸鎂(magnesium butyrate)、或彼等之組合。
- 如申請專利範圍第1項之營養組成物,其中,該膳食性丁酸化物係調製為與幾丁聚醣(chitosan)或者一或更多環糊精之複合物形式。
- 如申請專利範圍第1項之營養組成物,其進一步包含一或更多長鏈多不飽和脂肪酸。
- 如申請專利範圍第8項之營養組成物,其中,一或更多長鏈多不飽和脂肪酸包括下列選自由二十二碳六烯酸(docosahexaenoic acid)、二十碳四烯酸(arachidonic acid)、以及彼等之組合所組成之群組中之一者。
- 如申請專利範圍第8項之營養組成物,其中,長鏈多不飽和脂肪酸的存在量為約5mg/100Kcal至約100mg/100Kcal。
- 如申請專利範圍第1項之營養組成物,其進一步 包含一或更多益生菌(probiotic)。
- 如申請專利範圍第11項之營養組成物,其中,該益生菌包括雷曼氏乳酸桿菌GG(Lactobacillus rhamnosus GG)。
