Abstract

一種發光二極體燈管,包括中空柱形導光管和複數發光二極體光源,該發光二極體燈管的所述發光二極體光源位於該導光管至少一環形的端面上,該中空圓柱導光管的內壁或外壁的至少其中之一上設複數出光網點。

Description

發光二極體燈管
本發明涉及半導體照明領域,尤其涉及一種發光二極體燈管。
習知的螢光燈管藉由在燈管兩端施加一高電壓,使得電子在電場中加速並撞擊燈管內部的汞蒸氣產生紫外線,該等紫外線會被塗佈在燈管壁上的螢光粉吸收,進而產生可見光。但重金屬汞會對環境產生嚴重污染,已經逐漸被各國禁止使用在燈具產品中。
發光二極體(light emitting diode,LED)作為一種高效的發光源,具有環保、省電、壽命長等諸多特點已經被廣泛的運用於各種領域,係替代習知螢光燈管的理想光源。
然而,發光二極體光源的出射光線具有較強的指向性,出光角度通常小於120度,照射範圍有限。因此,當發光二極體作為燈管的光源時則會造成整個燈管照射範圍有限。
有鑒於此,有必要提供一種照射範圍廣的發光二極體燈管以替代習知螢光燈管。
一種發光二極體燈管,包括中空柱形導光管和複數發光二極體光源,該發光二極體燈管的所述發光二極體光源位於該導光管至少一環形端面上,該中空圓柱導光管的內壁或外壁的至少其中之一上設複數出光網點。
本發明中該發光二極體光源貼設於中空柱形導光管的環形端面上,光線從側面折射進入導光管後,在導光管內形成大角度的光場分佈,該等光線最後被位於導光管內壁或外壁上的出光網點散射出該導光管外,散射光線沿垂直於導光管的周面射出,從而在空間形成接近全角度的出光分佈。
下面參照附圖,結合實施例對本發明作進一步描述。

圖1係本發明一實施例的發光二極體燈管的立體結構示意圖。

圖5係本發明另一實施例的發光二極體燈管的橫向截面示意圖。
請參閱圖1至圖4,本發明一實施例的發光二極體燈管1包括一中空圓柱導光管3、位於該導光管3端面33、34上的複數發光二極體光源4以及將導光管3嵌套於內的中空圓柱透光罩2。
該導光管3的內壁31上開設有複數破壞光線全反射的出光網點32。該導光管3的外壁30上開設有複數破壞光線全反射的出光網點32。
該導光管3兩端的端面33、34分別係一環形面。該複數發光二極體光源4對應貼設於該導光管3的端面33、34上。該複數發光二極體光源4均勻分佈於端面33、34上,即每一端面33、34上的複數發光二極體光源4等角度排列,相鄰發光二極體光源4與對應端面33、34中心的連線所構成的夾角θ均相等。本實施例中該端面33上排列八個發光二極體光源4,相鄰發光二極體光源4與端面33中心連線所構成的夾角θ係45度(請參閱圖4)。
請同時參閱圖3,該導光管3的圓柱形內壁31、圓柱形外壁30以及位於導光管3兩端的端面33、34構成一波導層35。該複數發光二極體光源4發出的光線經過導光管3的端面33、34折射進入波導層35中。
該導光管3的折射率較空氣大,由發光二極體光源4發出的光線在波導層35中傳播時,當光線達到導光管3的內壁31或外壁30(內壁31和外壁30均係波導層35的邊界)上時,那些入射角度α大於導光管3的全反射臨界角度α0的光線將會在導光管3的內壁31或外壁30上發生全反射。在本實施例中,該導光管3的材質係玻璃,折射率係1.51,經過計算得出該導光管3的臨界角α0=41.47°,即發光二極體光源4發出的光線達到導光管3的內壁31或外壁30上時,那些入射角度α大於導光管3的全反射臨界角度α0的光線將會在導光管3的內壁31或外壁30上發生全反射而被限制於波導層35內並沿該導光管3的軸向傳播。
為了破壞光線的全反射,可以選擇在導光管3的內壁31或外壁30上設置出光網點32。在本發明實施例中,複數出光網點32同時設置於該導光管3的內壁31和外壁30上。每個出光網點32均係凹槽。較佳地,該出光網點32的尺寸大小在幾個微米至幾百個微米之間以增加光線散射效果。在其他實施例中,該出光網點32亦可以係微米尺寸大小的凸點。
該發光二極體光源4射向該導光管3的外壁30上的光線m,即使該光線m的入射角度α大於全反射臨界角α0=41.47°,則光線m仍然能藉由設置於該外壁30上的出光網點32散射出該導光管3的波導層35。該發光二極體光源4射向該導光管3的內壁31上的光線n,在導光管3的波導層35中經過全反射之後從該導光管3的內壁31上的出光網點32折射進入到導光管3內壁31圍設的空腔311中,散射後的光線穿過空腔311後達到該導光管3的另一側,由於光線n經過該出光網點32散射後改變了光線的傳播方向,故當散射後的光線n到達導光管3的另一側時,散射後的光線n的入射角度改變了,使得散射後的光線n可以穿透該導光管3的波導層35射出。
該複數出光網點32構成一網點陣列,該網點陣列包括沿導光管3的軸向間隔排列的複數陣列單元321。每一陣列單元321包括環繞導光管排列的複數出光網點32。每一陣列單元321的複數出光網點32沿垂直於該導光管3的同一圓周面均勻排列。相鄰陣列單元321之間的間距自該導光管3貼設有發光二極體光源4的兩端面33、34朝向該導光管3的中央逐漸減小,即自導光管3兩端面33、34朝嚮導光管3中央,該出光網點32的排佈密度逐漸增加。
可以理解地,在其他實施例中該發光二極體光源4僅排佈於導光管3的端面33或者端面34上,此時該網點陣列包括沿導光管3的軸向間隔排列的複數陣列單元321。每一陣列單元321的複數出光網點32沿垂直於導光管3的同一圓周面排列。兩相鄰陣列單元321之間的間距自該導光管3貼設有發光二極體光源4的端面33(或端面34)朝向該導光管3的另一端面34(或端面33)的方向逐漸減小。
請參閱圖5,可以理解地,該複數出光網點32的排列形狀和排列位置可以根據實際的出光需求作出調整,比如為了使得經過該出光網點32散射後的光線混合的更加均勻,該複數出光網點32可以任意排佈於該導光管3的內壁31或外壁30上;該複數出光網點32也可以僅排列於該導光管3的外壁30上,此時該導光管3的內壁31上可以設置一反射層36;該反射層36用以反射該發光二極體光源4射向該導光管3的內壁31且與該內壁31的入射角度小於全反射臨界角α0=41.47°的光線,從而提升光線的利用效率,使得更多的光線從該導光管3的外壁30出射。該反射層36的材質較佳係金屬反射層並藉由電鍍或噴塗的方式將金屬粉末均勻分佈於該導光管3的內壁31上。
該中空圓柱透光罩2由透光性較好的材質構成,比如玻璃、聚碳酸酯。該透光罩2的內徑大於該導光管3的外徑,以使得該透光罩2將該導光管3嵌套於內。為了得到柔和的出光分佈,還可以對透光罩2進行磨砂處理。
本發明中該發光二極體光源4貼設於中空圓柱導光管3的環形端面33、34上,從而在導光管3內形成360度的均勻光場分佈,該等光線最後被位於導光管3內壁31或外壁30上的出光網點32散射出該導光管3外,散射光線沿垂直於導光管3的圓周面射出,使得發光二極體燈管1在空間形成接近全角度的出光分佈。

Claims (10)

  1. 一種發光二極體燈管,包括中空柱形導光管和複數發光二極體光源,其改良在於:該發光二極體燈管的所述發光二極體光源位於該導光管至少一環形的端面上,該中空圓柱導光管的內壁或外壁的至少其中之一上設複數出光網點。
  2. 如申請專利範圍第1項所述的發光二極體燈管,其中該複數出光網點任意排佈。
  3. 如申請專利範圍第1項所述的發光二極體燈管,其中該複數出光網點構成一網點陣列,該網點陣列包括沿導光管的軸向間隔排列的複數陣列單元,每一陣列單元包括環繞導光管排列的複數出光網點。
  4. 如申請專利範圍第3項所述的發光二極體燈管,其中該導光管的一個端面上貼設該發光二極體光源,相鄰陣列單元之間的間距自該導光管貼設有發光二極體光源的一端朝向該導光管的另一端逐漸減小。
  5. 如申請專利範圍第3項所述的發光二極體燈管,其中該導光管的兩個端面上均貼設該發光二極體光源,相鄰陣列單元之間的間距自該導光管貼設有發光二極體光源的兩端朝向該導光管中央逐漸減小。
  6. 如申請專利範圍第3項項所述的發光二極體燈管,其中該複數網點排佈於該導光管的外壁上,該導光管的內壁上設有反射層。
  7. 如申請專利範圍第3項所述的發光二極體燈管,其中該複數網點排佈於該導光管的內壁及外壁上。
  8. 如申請專利範圍第1項所述的發光二極體燈管,其中還包括將該導光管嵌套於內的中空柱形透光罩。
  9. 如申請專利範圍第1所述的發光二極體燈管,其中該出光網點係凸點或凹槽。
  10. 如申請專利範圍第2項所述的發光二極體燈管,其中該發光二極體光源係複數,該複數發光二極體光源均勻分佈於該環形的端面上。
