Abstract
The present invention provides an industrially useful method for preparing carbapenem derivatives. The present invention provides a method for preparing a compound (V), its solvate or the crystal of the solvate, which is characterized by comprising following steps: (step1) reacting a compound (I) with a metallic catalyst in a solvent to produce a compound (II); (step2) mixing the reacted solution containing the compound (II) obtained from the step1, diphenyl phosphochloridate and an alkali to produce a compound (III); and (step3) mixing the reacted solution containing the compound (III) obtained from the step 2 and a compound (IV) or the salt thereof to synthesis a compound (V); (wherein, R1 represents a carboxyl protecting group; R2represents a hydrogen atom or a hydroxyl protecting group; R3represents a hydrogen atom or an amino protecting group ; provided that both of the compound (II) and the compound (III) have not to be isolated).
