Abstract

Provided is a cleaning article with fiber layers on both sides, permitting easy insertion of a handle into a handle insertion part. The cleaning article (10) comprises a pair of flat and tubular handle insertion parts (15) and (15), and fiber layers (11a) and (11b) and fiber layers (11c) and (11d) made of fiber bundles disposed above and below the respective handle insertion parts (15) and (15). The handle (20) can be attached to the cleaning article by inserting the handle into the pair of handle insertion parts (15) and (15). Each handle insertion part (15) is formed by jointing handle attaching sheets (13a) and (13b), two vertically long sheets interposed between the upper and lower fiber layers (11b) and (11c), in such a way as to form the joint parts extending in the longitudinal direction on both sides of the handle insertion part (15). The handle insertion part (15) has an unjointed part at an end on a handle entrance (151) side.
