Abstract

The present invention relates to a layer architecture comprising multilayer film(s) assembled by hydrogen-bonding interactions on a supporting body, and then forming thin films from the multilayer film(s); a self-standing thin film obtained from said layer architecture; a method of manufacturing said layer architecture by alternately contacting the supporting body with 2 or more kinds of solutions containing laminated substances to form the multilayer film(s), and forming the thin film by using a method selected from vaporization, spincoating and alternating adsorption; a method of manufacturing the self-standing thin film by dipping said layer architecture into a pH adjusted aqueous solution to dissolve the multilayer film(s), and stripping the thin films from the supporting body; the thin films for culturing cells and pharmaceutical sustained- release capsules obtained from said layer architecture; and the sensors, separation membranes, catalyst reacting devices and the thin sample sheets for transmission type measurement obtained from said thin films.
