Abstract

The gasoline engine has the history for more than one hundred years, but the spark plug, the most important component among the ignition system, still maintain its structure as usual which cannot meet the requirements of high performance and low pollution for modern engines. As shown in the figure, a tubular body with a passage is provided at the front end of the jetting type spark plug. The central electrode is located inside the tubular body. The containing chamber inside the tubular body forms the auxiliary combustion chamber. As the ignition starts, mixed gas in the auxiliary combustion chamber is ignited by the electric spark to form the jetting flame jetting from the passage and than igniting the mixed gas in the main combustion chamber, which is so-called secondary ignition. The present invention substantially enhance the ignition energy by the secondary ignition manner to make the combustion of mixed gas faster and complete, increase the average effective pressure, and reduce the exhaust.
