Description
(54) METHOD FOR OBTAINING WATER DISPERSION OF SOJI
кже в строительной, лакокрасочной, резинотехнической и других отрасл х промышленности .The invention relates to methods for producing a water dispersion of carbon black and can be used in the industry of carbon black and synthetic rubber, as well as in the construction, paintwork, rubber and other industries.
1.A method of producing an aqueous dispersion of carbon black is known, with priming as the dispersant salts of the alpha-hydroxyaryl acid 1 polymer.
However, the dispersion prepared by this method does not combine satisfactorily with the rubber latex, which negatively affects the strength of the products on the basis of the black rubber.
2.There is also known a method for producing aqueous dispersions of inorganic substances, according to which carbon black is dispersed with stirring in aqueous solutions of copolymers of acrylic acids and their derivatives with a degree of polymerization of 10-500 with a copolymer content of 0.2-10% by weight of carbon black 2.
However, furnace black dispersions prepared by this method are stratified during storage.
The purpose of the Composition is to increase the stability of the soot water dispersion during storage.
The goal is achieved by treating carbon black with stirring in an aqueous solution of copolymers of acrylic acids with their derivatives with a degree
5 polymerization 570-S600 with copolymers of 0.2-.10% by weight of carbon black.
570-5600.The difference of the proposed method lies in the fact that they use copolymers with a degree of podimerization 570-5600.
As such copolymers, the products of copolymerization of methacrylic or acrylic acid with alkali metal, methacrylamide, butyl methacrylate, ethyl acrylate monomethacrylate, ethylene glycol monomethacrylate and other acrylic acid derivatives, as well as ternary copolymers of these monomers can be used. Of these, the greatest preference should be given to copolymer of meta.crylic acid with sodium methacrylate with a weight ratio of monomers of 1: 1 with a polymerization number of 3500-4000, produced by domestic industry under the technical name “Comet Product.
Copolymers with a degree of polymerization of 570-5600, i.e., higher molecular weight and for this reason forming aqueous solutions with increased viscosity over
In comparison with the use of extrinsic oil earlier, it is difficult to Brownian motion of dispersed soot particles, slow down the processes of their coagulation and separation from the diversiiol medium, which ensures a high stability of dispersions. - When reducing the degree of polymerization of the copolymers below 570, the stability of dispersions during storage is reduced, and with a degree of polymerization above 5600, the ability of the copolymer to dissolve in water sharply deteriorates and its dispersing and stabilizing properties likewise liquefy.
При меньшей концентрации сополимеров не достигаетс высока стабильность дисперсий, а применение более высоких концентраций сополимеров неж-елательно из-за повышенного пенообразава ни при приготовлении и прИМенении дисперсий .The greatest stability of the dispersions of the proposed method is achieved with the use of copolymers in an amount of 0.2-10 weight. % by weight of soot. For 5% aqueous dispersions of carbon black, this corresponds to the use of 0,, 5% aqueous solutions of copolymers. With a lower concentration of copolymers, the stability of dispersions is not high, and the use of higher concentrations of copolymers is undesirable because of the increased foaming during the preparation and application of dispersions.
Предлагаемый способ иллюстрируетс следующими примерами .The aqueous dispersions of carbon black obtained by the proposed method do not exfoliate during any storage time, i.e., they are extremely stable. When using such dispersions to produce black rubber with, the consumption of electrolytes for the coagulation of the seselatex mixture is colored, and the rubbers are characterized by improved properties. The proposed method is illustrated by the following examples.
В дисперси х с недостаточной стабильностью сажа начинает коагулировать и оседать, ,в результате чего через некоторое врем в верхней части дисперсии образуетс прозрачный слой водной фазы.the weight of the fish is about 300 thousand and with a polymerization number of 3002 (the technical name is “Comet”). After mixing, a 0.05% aqueous solution of the copolymer is obtained. In the same way, a solution of a copolymer with a concentration of 0.01 wt.%, 0.1 weight. %, 0; 25 wt.% And 0.5 wt.%. In a ball mill, 100 g of highly active furnace soot PM-100 with a specific geometric surface 96 and an oil number of 104 will interfere. "L / SHO g and 2. E of one of the solutions prepared above. The contents are stirred and get 5% aqueous dispersion of carbon black. The experiment is repeated with solutions of other concentrations. It also prepares a soot control dispersion in a 0.25% aqueous solution of the same copolymer with a degree of polymerization of 180. The viscosity of the prepared dispersions is determined by the time elapsed through the calibrated hole of the VZ-4 viscometer funnel. 20 ml of dispersions are each poured into tubes, stored and stored away from their condition. In dispersions with insufficient stability, the soot begins to coagulate and settle, resulting in some time afterwards a transparent layer of the aqueous phase forms in the upper part of the dispersion.
1 и 2.The thickness of this layer is measured. The results of testing the dispersions are shown in Table. 1 and 2.
