В реверсивном счетчике 17 накапливаетс  код координаты X измеритель - шкалы, однозначно -соответствующий ее положению, т. к. в зависимости от направлени  сдвига импульсы в счетчике складываютс  или вычитаютс . При равенстве кода элемента строки и кода щкалы блок поразр дного сравнени  18 вырабатывает импульс, который поступает через с.меситель 13 на видеоусилитель 9, в результате чего на экране формируетс  вертикальна  шкала.
