Description
The invention relates to methods for determining the microstructure of paper and paperboard using optical means.
There is a method for determining the roughness of paper using a profilograph-profilometer, the needle of which
передвигаетс по поверхности исследуемого материала.moves on the surface of the material under study.
The disadvantage of this method is that when it comes into contact with the paper surface, the mechanical action on it causes a distortion of the roughness results, since the paper profile is smoothed.
A non-contact method is known for controlling the surface linearity using a device with an optical projection system with two branches.
дл проектировани измерительных марок на контролируемую поверхность и дл передачи их изображени на ось афокальной оборачивающей системы и получени показаний с отсчетного микроскопа.to design measuring marks on the monitored surface and to transfer them to the axis of the afocal reversing system and to obtain readings from a reading microscope.
The disadvantages of the method are the following.
Stereoscopic observation of the object is not provided due to the fact that the optical system is monocular in the device, and the design of marks on the surface of the object is made from a certain basis at a large angle. Moreover, the monocular guidance on the elements of the object is several times lower than that of stereoscopic and it takes a long time to study and measure the elements of the structure

The large angle of design marks makes it difficult to measure elements, and in dead zones makes it impossible.
Ближайшим аналогом вл етс способ стереоскопического исследовани микроструктуры бумаги, включающий установку образца на предметном столике стереомик- роскопа, стеронаведение на точки поверхности образца и измерение по трем координатам его микроструктуры с использованием оптических измерительных элементов и запись результатов измерени .The closest analogue is a stereoscopic study of the microstructure of paper, including placing the sample on the stage of the stereo microscope, stereonavigating the points on the surface of the sample and measuring the three coordinates of its microstructure using optical measuring elements and recording the measurement results.
In this method, the interchangeable scale and grid are used as optical measuring elements, which are round-shaped glass plane-parallel plates, the scale division value is 0.1 mm, and the grid side division cost is 1 mm. At the same time, when measuring the elements of the paper surface, the scale or grid is inserted into only one of the ocular tubes of the optical head using a microscope scanner.
Z.The stage has no means of moving the sample, the amount of movement of the optical head is determined with a low precision of the standard tool, and therefore the movement along the third Z coordinate is determined only by the precision of focusing the image. When using a device for determining the microstructure of paper, poor results are obtained in terms of accuracy, especially in the Z coordinate.
The aim of the invention is to improve the accuracy.
This goal is achieved by the fact that in the method of stereoscopic examination of the paper microstructure, including the installation of a paper sample on the stage of a stereomicroscope, stereo guidance on points of the sample surface and measurement of its microstructure using three optical coordinates using optical measuring elements and recording the measurement results according to the invention as optical measuring elements use measuring marks and optical wedges installed in both branches of the stereo optical system microscope in the imaging plane of the sample microstructure, form an imaginary image of the brand, and use it to stereonavede- Britain and measuring elements the paper surface of the sample microstructure.
The method is implemented with a microscope shown in the drawing.

The stereomicroscope contains a base 1, an optical head 2 with two ocular tubes 3, mounted on a rack 4, an illuminator 5. 13,papers are carried out as follows. Set the sample paper on the stage 10 of the stereomicroscope and include the illuminator 5. Using measuring marks 7 and optical wedges 13,
При каждом наведении производ т перемещение оптической головки 2 с помощью микрометрического винта 8 и по ин- дикатору 9 определ ют величинуinstalled in both branches of the optical system, they form an image of an imaginary brand and make it stereo-navigation at individual points of the microstructure elements. The imaginary mark is a single image from two measuring marks. With each hover, the optical head 2 is moved with the help of a micrometric screw 8 and the indicator
12.moving the imaginary mark from one to another point of the microstructure element. When examining a given surface of a sample, the sample stage 10 is moved with the sample using micrometric screws 11 and 12.
The stereoscopic method of measuring the microstructure of paper is based on the observation of a sample using a binocular stereomicroscope and stereo measurements with
Дл сравнени приведены результаты определени using the created image of an imaginary measuring mark, which allows to significantly improve the accuracy and efficiency of determining the microstructure of paper, for example, its irregularities, the presence of defects. The accuracy of stereo measurements for the human eye is determined by an angle of 10, and for monocular hovering - by an angle of 40-45, i.e. accuracy is 4 times lower. For comparison, the results of determining
The sample microstructure profile paper size 30x60 mm and the length of the measurement line 20 mm.
П р и м е р 1. EXAMPLE 1: Install paper samples, stereo-create the imaginary mark formed on individual elements of the structure and determine the amount of movement along the scale and double measurement along the Z coordinate. Measurements were taken at 10 points along the measurement line.
The results are shown in Table. 1, where X is in mm Z, 71 is in min, d 2 is the difference of two measurements in one position. In the sixth column - d Z2 values needed to determine the root-mean-square error by the formula.
X.PRI me R 2 (prototype). A paper sample is installed, a monocular grid pointing (optical measuring element) is directed to a point on the paper surface element and a sharp image of this point is obtained by pointing it along the Z-axis, X is measured.
1.The measurement results at 10 points along the measurement line are shown in Table. 2 is similar to table 1.
Similarly, measurements are made when the measurement line is moved along the Y axis. The total measurements give specific structures over the entire sample area of the paper or paperboard.
