Abstract

The invention relates to medicine and can be used in the manufacture of biological vascular prostheses from the artery of the umbilical cord of a newborn. The purpose of the invention is to improve the biomechanical properties of a vascular prosthesis. In order to achieve the goal, the artery of the umbilical cord is extracted in an acute way from the tissues of the umbilical cord together with the surrounding layer of the warrant stud. The bioprostheses obtained by the proposed method were used in 10 experiments on dogs and in 2 patients for prosthetic deep artery of the thigh. In all cases, the patency of the bioprosthesis with the preservation of the connective tissue structure of the membrane was noted after a year. The method is recommended for implementation in practical health care.

Description

Изобретение относитс  к медицине, а именно к сердечно-сосудистой хирургии, и может быть использовано при изготовлении биологических сосудистых протезов из артерии пупочного канатика новорожденного .The invention relates to medicine, namely cardiovascular surgery, and can be used in the manufacture of biological vascular prostheses from the artery of the umbilical cord of the newborn.

The purpose of the invention is to improve the biomechanical properties of the vascular prosthesis.

This goal is achieved by the fact that after modeling the corresponding profile on the mandrel, the umbilical cord artery is extracted in an acute way from the umbilical cord tissues along with the surrounding layer of the vartone stud.

After washing the umbilical cord tissue from the blood with a saline solution, a conical-shaped bougé mandrin with a diameter of 2-4 mm is introduced into the lumen of the artery. The umbilical cord is placed in a solution of glutaraldehyde. After the end of the preservation process using acute surgical techniques, the artery is isolated from the elements of the cable with the surrounding Wharton stud surrounding it in such a way that the wall thickness is 1-1.5 mm. The mandrin is removed, the artery is placed and the vessel containing glutaraldehyde is stored.

Через год биопротезы проходимы, функци  конечности сохранена .Chronic experiments were conducted on 10 dogs. The bioprostheses made by the proposed method for up to 12 months preserved the structure of the connective tissue sheath, being passable. The formation of the anastomoses was significantly simplified, there was no eruption of the seams. In clinical practice, 2 patients were operated on. Bioprostheses are used for prosthetics of the deep femoral artery (3 mm diameter). After a year, the bioprostheses are passable, the limb function is preserved.

The method is recommended for use in medical practice.
