Abstract
This invention relates to metallurgy, in particular to horizontal continuous casting of hollow billets. The goal is to increase the stability of the casting process. In the casting process, gas is supplied between the mandrel and the billet under pressure determined linearly from the minimum value in the lower part of the cross section of the mandrel to the maximum in the upper, while the maximum gas pressure is greater than the minimum by the amount of gasket at the mandrel, which eliminates ingot freeze on the mandrel. 1 ill., 1 tab.
Description
This invention relates to metallurgy, in particular to horizontal continuous casting of hollow billets.
The purpose of the invention is to increase the stability of the casting process.
The drawing shows a device for implementing the method.
The melt 1 is poured into the metal receiver 2 connected to the mold 3 and the mandrel 4. The melt 1 flows into the gap between the mold 3 and the mandrel 4, where the billet 5 is formed. The blanks 5 are removed in a cyclic mode using a pulling device. The gas is fed into the inner gas-permeable cavity of the mandrel 4. Through the channels 6, located around the perimeter of the mandrel 4, and the gas-permeable outer shell 7 of the mandrel 4, the gas enters the gap between the workpiece 5 and the surface of the mandrel 4. The channels 6 gas is supplied around the perimeter of the mandrel 4 with different pressure . In this case, the gas pressure from the minimum Pi value in the lower part of the cross section of the mandrel increases linearly.
зависимости до максимального значени Р2 в верхней части, причем максимальное значение давлени больше минимального на величину, равную давлению заготовки на поверхность дорна.dependences to the maximum value of P2 in the upper part, with the maximum pressure value being greater than the minimum value by an amount equal to the pressure of the workpiece on the surface of the mandrel.
The choice of nitrogen pressure parameters in the mandrel channels is determined by the pressure that the part of the billet in the crystallizer is having on the mandrel, as well as experimental data. It was assumed that the support roller under the ingot is installed immediately after the mold.
Example. The mold has a length of 250 mm, an internal diameter of 150 mm. The external gas permeable shell of the mandrel has a diameter of 90 mm and is made of MG-1 graphite. Dorn has 4 channels of steel with a slot area of 80 cm. The channels are located in the vertical and horizontal planes evenly around the perimeter. The support roller is installed immediately after the mold, so the pressure of the workpiece on the surface of the mandrel corresponds to the weight of the ingot located in the mold, and

Nitrogen is fed through the channels under different pressure. Cast iron MF 20 at 1350 ° C is poured into a metal reservoir connected to the mold. The casting speed is 0.3 m / min, the drawing step is 50 mm.
For comparison, the same casting process is performed at the same pressure in the channels.
The results of the study are shown in the table.
Способ непрерывного горизонтального лить полых заготовок с подачей газа в зазор между дорном и заготовкой с различным давлением по его периметру позвол ет устранить вли ние веса заготовки на ее качество .The method of continuous horizontal casting of hollow blanks with gas supply into the gap between the mandrel and the billet with different pressures along its perimeter allows eliminating the influence of the weight of the billet on its quality.
