Abstract

FIELD: optical instrument engineering. SUBSTANCE: single or several destructed recording layers are applied onto optical surface of the substrate. External layer is reflecting one. After that the substrate with applied layer is placed into laser where the substrate is used as one mirror of the resonator, and scale is marked during single generation pulse. Radiation which is generated in the laser is modulated according to preset law of distribution of marks of the scale by means of forming corresponding multibeam interference pattern; the mirrors of the resonator are disadjusted for the purpose. Energy density at maximums of intensities of the interference pattern is provided to excess over threshold energy of destruction of recording layers. EFFECT: improved efficiency reduced requirements to vibrational isolation; improved sharpness of scales marked.
