Abstract

A mounting assembly for &cirf& attaching a disposable work engaging assembly 10 to a master holder assembly 12 comprising a first member 16 having opposed surfaces and at least one opening 24 extending therethrough between the opposed surfaces, a second member 26 formed of a malleable material having a corresponding number of tubular portions 42 at locations to register with and to be insatiable into the openings 24, each of the tubular portions 42 having a passageway 44 extending therethrough formed at least in part by a non-round portion 48 in the area thereof that extends through the opening 24 in the first member, and a tool member (50, Fig. 11) having a work engaging end portion (54) adapted to be positioned in each of the passageways 44, rotation of the tool member forcing the tool end portion (54) into engagement with the non-round portion 48 of the passageway 44 thereby permanently plastically deforming the non-round portion and radially expanding each tubular portion 42 outwardly into engagement with the corresponding opening in the first member to make a tight connection therebetween. <IMAGE>
