Description

11).Methods are known for measuring the thickness of sheet materials in which a volatile micrometer is used (see, for example, Auth. St. No. 112988 of CL 42b, 11).

The disadvantage of these methods is the low accuracy of the measurements, since in them the wear of the rolls, temperature and elastic deformations influence the measurement result, and there is also a lag in the measurement.

The proposed method is devoid of the specified disadvantage. The essence of the invention is that in the method the signals of the volatile micrometer and the sensor of the solution of the rolls are automatically compared, and the sensor signal is delayed in the delay unit during the travel time to the volatile micrometer of the measurement area. Due to this, the signal at the output of the summing element is proportional to the thickness of the tape at the time of rolling.

The drawing shows a circuit for implementing this method.

The device consists of a meter 1, which indirectly determines the thickness of the tape, a volatile micrometer 2, a delay unit 3, summing elements 4 and 5, a block 6, determining the measurement delay time by a volatile micrometer depending on the signal from the speed sensor 7.

мме действительного значени  толщины участка ленты 8, наход щегос  в данный момент между валками 9, и значени  погрещности измерени  косвенным способом, поступает в блок 3 задержки .The operation of the device is as follows. The signal of the meter, equal to the sum of the actual value of the thickness of the section of the tape 8 that is currently between the rolls 9, and the measurement error value indirectly, enters the delay unit 3.

менте 5 из сигнала измерител  /.The delay time is equal to the time during which the measured section of the tape moves a distance a and will be measured with a volatile micrometer. Summing element 8 (reference element) receives signals proportional to the measurement results of the same tape segment in an indirect and direct way. The difference of these signals, which is equal to the value of the measurement measurement in an indirect manner, is subtracted in summing element 5 from the signal of the meter /.
