The invention relates to electrochemical methods of analysis, in particular, to the determination of lead, and can be used in analytical practice, for example in the chemical industry, for counter-ferrous metals and alloys, in the analysis of environmental objects.
The purpose of the invention is to increase the expressivity of the determination of lead ions.
The lead content is determined in standard samples with a known lead content. For this, 0.1-0.2 g of the alloy is dissolved in 5 mp HNOj (1: 1) in the presence of silicon in the alloy. It is necessary to add 1-3 drops of HF. After the sample is completely dissolved, 2.9 ml of 8.7 M NSY are added. and evaporated to white vapor to remove nitric acid. After that, add a ml of 10.9 M to calculate the final concentration of 1 M. The analyzed solution is placed in a 50 ml volumetric flask, HC1 or HBg is added to obtain a concentration of 0.005-0.02 M and brought to the mark with bidistilled water. Measurements are carried out according to two schemes; the whole volume of the analyzed solution is introduced into the electrochemical cell and lead determination is performed, or a clean background solution is introduced into the cell, and the analyzed solution is collected only into the capillary cavity, which is filled by capillary forces. The choice of one or the other scheme is determined by the volume and concentration of the test solution; the results are the same. In view of the presence of a sufficient amount of a standard alloy with a relatively high lead content, the determination is carried out according to the first scheme. Since the analyzed alloys contain a large amount of copper, it is not additionally introduced, register five different voltamograms on a universal polarograph at 25 ± 0.1 ° C in an alternating 3-electrode mode (alternating voltage amplitude 25 mV at a potential sweep rate of 25 M b / s). The UMV-30 carbon monofilament with a diameter of 30 µm was used as an indicator electrode, silver chloride was the reference electrode, Glass carbon rod was used as an auxiliary electrode. The accumulation potential was measured in the interval (-0.6) - (-0.8) V, after each determination

Achine electrode (electrochemically) at a potential of 0.6–0.8 V for 15–20 s, followed by a pause of 20–30 s. The concentration of lead in the solution is determined by the method of standard additives. The analysis of one sample takes about 30 minutes. The results of the determination are given in Table 1 (determination of lead in certified standard samples, 95 μm).
Under conditions of a limited solution volume, when accumulating at potentials more negative (-0.3) (-0.4) B in an acidic environment, dissolved oxygen is quickly restored due to the fact that it is present in a small amount, as well as due to an increase in the surface ratio the electrode to the volume of the solution in which oxygen is present, and thus its interfering effect on the storage efficiency is significantly reduced. The proposed electrode provides a ratio of the surface of the indicator electrode to the volume of the analyzed solution in the capillary cavity by 3-4 times more than under normal conditions. The dissolved oxygen is reduced the faster, the more this ratio. The use of a carbon monofilament as an indicator electrode by placing it in a capillary of non-conductive material ensures large

где S значений отношени S /Vp площадь поверхности индикаторного электрода, а Vp - объем раствора в капилл рной полости, при хорошей воспроизводимости объема анализируемого раствора (разброс получаетс только при вариации толщины углеродного волокна ) .where S values of the ratio S / Vp are the surface area of the indicator electrode, and Vp is the volume of the solution in the capillary cavity, with good reproducibility of the volume of the analyzed solution (the spread is obtained only by varying the thickness of the carbon fiber).
SaIn addition, carbon fibers have a wide range of working potentials, high electrochemical and chemical corrosion resistance, low background currents, which makes them especially suitable for use as indicator electrodes. The sensitivity of the inversion detection, as the amount of matter accumulated on the electrode decreases. Therefore, to conduct lead detection with high sensitivity without removing dissolved oxygen, it is necessary to determine the optimal size of the capillary. The ratio Sg / Vp does not depend on the length of the capillary.
Due to the fact that, when using ac-volt amperometry, it is not possible to measure lead precipitation in the presence of dissolved oxygen when the ratio of the capillary diameter to the electrode diameter is not more than 15 and the ratio of the capillary diameter to its length in the range of 0.02- 0.08, i.e. The optimal size of the capillary relative to the diameter of the electrode is limited by the ratio of
50, 0.021. When the geometric dimensions of the capillary are beyond the specified ratio, the accumulation efficiency of the dissolved substance of the coulonouig decreases, and this leads to the need for metrology when it is necessary to prevent an increase in the duration of 5

To detect diffusion of the analyte from the capillary cavity, a simplified N-cell can be used to determine lead, in which the measuring capillary is connected to the macrovolume of the solution through the bottom end. In this case, there is a diffusion of a certain amount of the analyte from or into the capillary cavity, which depends only on the ratio of the capillary diameter to its length. The length of the capillary also affects the efficiency of the electrochemical
