Description
The invention relates to methods and means of non-destructive testing and can be used to study materials using ultrasound.
изобретени - расширение технологических возможностей за счет расширени диапазона примен емых эталонных материалов и контактных жид- костей. the invention is the expansion of technological capabilities by expanding the range of applied reference materials and contact liquids.
Figures 1-3 show a diagram of acoustic processes occurring respectively at the boundary of dry contact of the test and reference materials, at the border of contact of the test and reference material with the introduction of contact liquid and at the border of reference material - contact liquid in the absence of the test material.
Сущность изобретени заключаетс в том, что измерение коэффициента отражени от границы контактна жидкость - эталонный материал позвол ет определ ть акустическое сопротивление при различных аналогичных параметрах контактной жидкости и эталонного материала .SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION The essence of the invention is that the measurement of the reflection coefficient from the boundary of a contact liquid — a reference material - makes it possible to determine the acoustic resistance at various similar parameters of the contact liquid and the reference material.
The method is carried out as follows.
The test material 1, having an uneven surface, is brought into contact with the reference material 2. An ultrasonic transducer (not shown) in the direction of the contact boundary radiates ultrasonic vibrations 3 and 4 (Fig. 1). Part of the oscillations 5 passes into the material under study, and most of the oscillations 6 are reflected back into the reference material 2. These oscillations are received by the transducer, the amplitude of the oscillations is measured 6 and the ratio R of the amplitude of the incident oscillations and reflected is determined by dry contact boundary. Then, a contact fluid 7 is introduced between the reference material and the test material, which fills all the irregularities and pores between the reference material and the test material. Then, a pulse of ultrasonic oscillations in the direction of the boundary under study is emitted again — the reference material. In this case, a much larger part of the oscillations passes into the material under study. The amplitude (Fig. 2) of the received echo is measured. From the ratio of the amplitude of the reflected oscillations to the amplitude of the incident oscillations, the coefficient R of the reflection from the wetted contact boundary of the test and reference materials is determined. Then, the reference material 2 is separated from the material under study 1. In this case, the contact liquid 7 spreads over the entire surface of the reference material.
If necessary, a certain amount of liquid is added to the surface of the reference material 2 to place the contact liquid over this surface. Ultrasonic oscillations 3 and 4 are again emitted in the direction of the last boundary. The ultrasonic transducer receives oscillations 6 reflected from the boundary of the reference material with the contact liquid 7. the amplitude of these oscillations. Oscillations that have passed into the liquid 7 are not used in the measurement. From the ratio of the amplitude of oscillations falling on the boundary to the amplitude of the reflected oscillations, the coefficient R, the reflections, is determined. The acoustic impedance Zji of the material under study is determined from the ratio

The method allows to determine the acoustic resistance of solid materials with an uneven surface using different reference materials and contact liquids, which improves the processability of the method.
