Окалина железа представл ет собой совокупность окислов железа (от окиси до закиси).Carbonic acid barium 10–15 Iron dross As a component of the modifying mixture, iron dross used in forging production. Dross of iron is formed on the blanks when heated before forging, during the forging process, it flies off in the form of small scales. Iron scale is a combination of iron oxides (from oxide to nitrous oxide).

Barium, having a high activity coefficient with respect to s.erv, reacts to replace barium oxide with the formation of sulphides, which, adsorbing to the nucleus of graphite, interfere with chaotic growth and they take on a uniform shape.

Silicon-barium silicon is a very active graphitizing graphite that is formed during crystallization as submicroscopic nuclei.
The composition of the proposed modifier mixture also includes boric acid, which is a white powder. Boric acid is included in the modifying mixture to introduce boron iron into the melt. Boron modification strongly affects graphitization. At a boron concentration of less than 0.003%, it sharply accelerates graphitization without a noticeable 3 magnitude of the number of graphite centers, and with the addition of 0 0012% boron, the number of graphite centers decreases. The introduction of more boron into the melt is accompanied by an acceleration of the graphitization process and a sharp increase in the number of grafrgt centers. With a further increase in the boron content, its effect on the graphitization rate begins to decrease. An increase in the amount of boron in Q.17 leads to. a decrease in the rate of graphitization compared to a cast iron with a smaller ai: addition of boron. Boron, introduced in a quantity of about 1% 5, completely suppresses the graphitization of white iron. The reason for this lies in the fact that boron is, in addition, a carbide-forming element. When boron is introduced in large quantities, it forms complex carbides, which are almost impossible to graphitize,
The introduction of silikobari and barium carbonate into white cast iron leads to an increase in the centers of graphite, their grinding and improvement in shape, which has a positive effect on the increase in mechanical properties.
